This is a depressing and dystopian short film that subliminally shows us the society as a whole. The houses are all the same(conformity) as are the gardens. I think that the pets aren’t the robots, but rather the humans. The robot at the beginning is seen controlling the human’s actions, including making him walk the robot. The humans being in cells was how we found out that the robots were not the pets. The cells weren’t cells. They were kennels, like in a boarding pet daycare. Case and point, the humans are the pets.

I watched enough of this stuff for me to figure it out, and it was interesting. It is certainly an idle existence. I promise to wait longer on walks while my dog stands there sniffing air and looking into the distance for several continuous minutes.

If the point is it's a pretentious piece of crap masquerading as a cautionary tale about letting technology control your life, then no, I got that

Now you missed the point that @angeldude101 was replying to Maddieleigh 20XX. The Robot are not the messengers but the Owner. And that the Pets are Us. No talking no messenger not even able to sniff butts.

Excellent story telling in five minutes than most two hour movies. Excellent acting, effects and cinematography work, with multiple interesting locations. It mirrors how we treat our own "pets", and hints how we may be evolving into a speechless society where technology tethers us controlling our most every action, restricting are freedom of true expression.
I expect great things in the future from the creators of this project 🏆

I think it hits a nerve .. you know the one that causes us to fight for freedom.. i liked it.. and at the same time i think it was so fuked up... could you only picture if our lives were like that ... who ever wrote this has a dark mind.. and a good understanding of the human emotional process. good job

i only refer the dark mind cause most (my opinion) people cant initiate this kind of response in the human psyche.... people must and cant think outside the box to get the reaction your video does..AND... Im an artist my self .. good job on not over doing it either.. leaving so much for the mind to fill in. nicely thought through..

Made in Germany, the structured utopia. The old Prussian emperor probably shed a tear as he watched his people (though in thought) create what he did so well in the army. May it last a thousand years. I wonder if in the Chinese version, the master would be choreographing an army of Tai Chi practitioners. Its calculations on how to narrate the play, "tilt the wrist slightly thus by 5 degrees". I would imagine after teaching the pets math and self defense, they would have calculated their escape on their way to the holding cell. Since man are akin to primates , from what we see usually means war.
A positive side, as men, the computer would remove the embarrassing breaking of the ice. I wonder if women will miss even the cheesiest pick up lines. Wait, no she won't, it would be easier, she could text from far off in bright, bold and illuminating letters "As if!" never missing a step, to any hopeful idler. Win/Win,

So very sad to inform you, not quite.
Clifford Simak did it first, back in the 1950s or '60s.
No, I don't recall the name of the story, sorry. It was more involved and developed -- and infinitely more depressing. Oh, and it was aliens, not robots.
(Pls note, I am NOT, double-emphasize, *NOT*, suggesting any plagiarism. Parallel evolution in ideas is a given.)

This future kinda scares me, yet I'd like to know when their rebellion starts :p
I would really like to see more, maybe with some lines for the actors and a backstory of humans before .. let's call it "the breakdown"
(below is some analyzing stuff if you like to read :3 WARNING spoilers for the movie Wall-E)
So what I get from this:
There is a strong force that overcame mankind and captivated all humans.
Since the humans are pretty much used to being handled like pets I relate it to the story of Wall-E where the humans where held (mostly hostage without knowing) on a ship and then later realizing it's a trap.
So I think either technology had a big boost, became stronger and smarter than mankind and is treating it with not enough respect, which is later cause of a huge rebellion, because humans realize there is more to life than just being dragged around and they start to see the beauty of nature and so on.
Or these things are actually not even the culprit but there is something even larger controlling the robots, which is going to lead to a rebellion where humans and robots fight against both their nemesis.
Anyways I really like how this story went, tho I had the plot figured out just right after the robots started chatting. :p
