If I had to choose a guitarist I'd say Herman Li. But I think they come as a package. Both guitarists have been there throughout even though a few other band members have changed over the years.
"He's killing that guitar!" You're more right than you know, Smoke. That sorta tearing sound right at the end was Herman's E-string snapping mid-note.🤘😎🤘
And I love how all the reactors think that its only Herman Li in the first solo section. It's both and they just don't show Sam clearly during that soloing.
Shame you did this video version since it cuts out about a minute more guitar work at the end. The band comes out of London, although several members are not British-born. Seen them live and they are note perfect; amazing. There is a great video on YT of them playing on a cruise ship and Herman Lee plays one solo whilst underwater in the pool!
DragonForce are a British band - Herman Li and Sam Totman wrote the guitar arrangements and played in the studio recording for the album version of Babymetal's 'Road of Resistance' - and they played it live with Babymetal at an awards show in London in 2015 (not long after they had smuggled Babymetal into Download in the UK and invited them on stage to play 'Gimme Chocolate' with them after the organiser said they would never play there). There is a video of the awards show performance of 'Road of Resistance' on TH-cam if you're interested. There is a drum cover of 'Through the Fire and Flames' by Junna, a Japanese girl, on TH-cam - and I think there is another of the DragonForce drummer reacting to her cover.
@@solcorvinusoftiktok9907 He said something like there was a time and a place for a band like BABYMETAL but it wasn't Download and they would never play there. DragonForce smuggled them in anyway and invited them on stage - they attracted a huge crowd as word had got out ... the next year they had their own set on the main stage and have been regulars ever since.
DragonForce was the last concert I saw before the pandemic. I’m so glad we went! I was able to take my son as his first medal concert for his 10th birthday (2019). They were amazing as always, and we were right up front at the little club they played in Reno- so they saw my son singing along with everything because he knows the words to all their songs. We waited around after and they gave my son signed drumsticks and the set list and we got a bunch of pictures. They were so cool with him!!!! They seem like genuinely nice guys. On another note, I hope you listen to the studio version at some point. The music video cuts out a HUGE chunk of the song.
Bros, I can’t even fuckin air guitar that damn fast lol these dudes are nuts! Every time I hear this song, if I close my eyes I can see Sonic the Hedgehog going super speed with those guitar noises lol
Hi guys, I'm new to your channel today and I'm hooked! Just wanted to tell you something cool. My mom is 73 in January and she LOVES DragonForce! She discovered them last year and now owns every album they've made 😆🤟
i love watching reactions to this video, its exhausting just watching it. hats off to the drummer aswell though,he didnt stop throughout the entire song that dude was blasting that kit. well done guys
I saw them live in 2006 at ozzfest. They didnt miss a fuckin beat. Those dudes play just as accurate live its insane. As for a suggestion, revisit alestorm with Keelhauled :)
I mean....just the entire of every Alestorm album is amazing. They’re albums I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a song and I honestly can’t say that about many albums over my 37 years on this planet. Can probably name 5 or 6 more. At a generous guess, maybe 10. That’s it. (except for Back Through Time and Curse of the Crystal Coconut) But even saying that. Maybe I skip 3-4 songs over two albums?.
Great reaction as always boys, Hollywood I fucked up on the wknd…..when u asked me about guitarists I forgot to mention Olly Steele. Truly a freak of nature 🤘🤘
I love that more people are reacting to Dragonforce, but everybody always does this song. There are dozens of other amazing dragonforce songs that need to be reacted to. But nobody ever does, these songs need reactions too! Fury of the Storm Three Hammers Ashes of the Dawn The Game Astral Empire Cry Thunder Midnight Madness The edge of the world Highway to oblivion
These guys are amazing musicians and fun music to listen to. Try reacting to Junna - Through the Fire and The Flames Drum Cover....you'll get to appreciate just how difficult the drum part of this, and you'll get to watch an amazing drummer absolutely kill this song :) Really enjoyed your reaction fellas....
I remember first hearing this song on Guitar Hero III. Think of Slayer meeting speedy guitars and you got this band. I've been hooked on these guys since their third album Inhuman Rampage released back when I was in junior high. These guys still rock, even though they have a new singer now. This music video just shows how these guys' guitars can be tricked to give off their signature sounds and I love this band. 🤘🤘🤘
What a way to get the blood going on a Monday morning!! I don't look much like a metalhead (tbh, more like a recovering teeny bopper lmao), but I used to have some regular metalhead customers when I was bartending a few years back, and they made it their mission to play this song at least once every shift as soon as they found out I was already aware of DragonForce. Such good energy!!
One of the most entertaining concerts I've ever been to. I remember they had an intermission solo where both guitar players, bass player, and the keyboardist(w/key-tar) all stood in a circle and played the neck of their instrument while simultaneously crossing arms over to play the bottom half of the instrument next to them. Absolutely mind blowing.
Dang that cut out an entire guitar solo! Find the longer version and your mind will really be blown! They do have a new lead singer now. Still a great group!
Thanks fella's for bringing back some awesome memories I had with a friend of mine while listening to this song.🤘 If you like this sort of face melting power metal, there are some other similar musical groups like, Animals as Leaders, Scale the Summit and Buckethead you'd want to get into.
Just found your video, you guys seem to be greatly enjoying it! I would recommend you check out 3 Inches of Blood "Goatriders Horde" Awesome band, especially with the novelty of the big bearded singer using Falsetto.
A Japanese young lady named , junna does a drum cover of this song , she is not but sunshine rainbows , mixed with talent , it’s well worth the watch, warning smiles will be all around
If only you would watch the guitar cover done by Tina S... a 15 year old girl that blew the internet when she posted her cover of the song, when others were just struggling to play this on guitar hero on five plastic buttons.. this being the ultimate challenge in one version of the game.
For those who watched the dragonforce video and heard it for the first time need to know that for some reason 2 minutes of the solo is missing. You need to check out Persefone, the majestic of gaia. It's a badass song.
The best guitar player that I have ever seen and Dimebag had influence from Michael Angelo Batio speed kills check that out plays right-handed or left-handed and both necks at once he is the man
This version of DragonForce is probably the most talented group of musicians in at least the last 20-30 years. They compliment each other on a god like level.
Check out The Aristocrats. They are three of the most skilled musicians ever, and yet seem to be most bonded by their shared sense of humour lol. Their live shows give background to the silly reasons for their song titles and I would also highly recommend them😊
You’ll have to put Takayoshi Ohmura in your 2010 guitarist. He’s the main guitarist for BABYMETAL and plays most of their songs with ease and has even wrote some amazing shred pieces himself.
I don't know if you guys have reacted to this or not but you should definitely react to love bites (when destinies align) It's an all female Japanese powermetal band and they are fantastic!!
Check out Shinedown. Been a fan of theirs for years. Their song, Enemies, shows what 3 musicians and 1 singer can do. Plus the video is of Brent, Zach, Eric and Barry fighting each other. Crazy video.
This is speed metal with power metal vocals. A lot of people assume power metal has to be fast because this song is their first introduction to the genre thanks to Guitar Hero. Power metal can be any tempo. Sabaton is power metal as well. I actually have a video series on my channel describing the different metal genres.
You mentioned Judas Priest going at their fastest. Painkiller instantly came to mind. Probably one of their fastest songs and the drummer earns his paycheck for certain.
While this is fresh in the mind guys you should really check out 15 year old Tina S doing a guitar cover of this and also Japanese drummer Junna doing a cover on the drums. INSANE!
You guys should check out Junna's drum cover of this song Junna is tiny little Japanese girl who looks like a teenager but she's actually in her 20's she absolutely smashes this song, the drummer from dragon force has even reacted to her cover and said it's the best drum cover of the song he's seen
HERMAN LI is the man when it come to guitars he so awesome.this song was the hardest one to play on GUITAR HERO back in the day. Also DRAGONFOCRE did a performance with BABYMETAL on stage their song road of resistance live on tour c-ya
Metal truly is a universal language. Seeing two rappers just LOVING a DragonForce song makes me smile ear to ear :)
Game recognize game
If I had to choose a guitarist I'd say Herman Li. But I think they come as a package. Both guitarists have been there throughout even though a few other band members have changed over the years.
Sam is honestly the better live guitarist.
The chemistry between them is just an integral part of everything Dragonforce is at this point. From the albums to the live show to the Twitch stream
@@hannahstevenson27 Believe me. I love both Herman and Sam. They are among the top dual guitarists in the world in my book.
They are definitely a package deal they just feed off of each other
sam is really good live when he's not drunk, which is unfortunately most of their live performances XD
"He's killing that guitar!"

@@TheLastGarou very true. Agree totally. Still My statement is true Lol
Dragonforce in a general sense of metal guitarists, are what Bradley Hall calls ‘the L’Oréal sponsors’
L’Oréal...because Metal is worth it ❤️
🤣

The band comes out of London, although several members are not British-born.

I mean why did they even cut it ? Its already 7 minutes.
I seen a little girl named Junna, do a drum cover to this song. Amazing.

In my opinion I think Takayoshi Ohmura and a few other of the baby metal guitarists are on a way different level then DragonForce
@@txhellrazor4765 Herman Li and Sam Totman are good guys and good guitarists, but the Kami Band are kamis.
Why did the organizer say that?
missed seeing you in the comments buddy

Herman Li is the GOAT. And this is a prime example of superior musicianship. Audible vocals and absolutely masterful instrumentation.
Sam is definitely my favorite. Not so technical but is super saucy and has top 10 rhythm grooves in power metal hands down
Great reaction as always boys, Hollywood I fucked up on the wknd…..when u asked me about guitarists I forgot to mention Olly Steele. Truly a freak of nature 🤘🤘
Herman pretty much runs the Dragonforce TH-cam, he makes a lot of fun content.
yeah herman and sam streams are great, they are like legit normal dudes
