Comparing a phone that came out this year to another phone that came out last year when it has the technology of a phone from two years ago. I still don't get the Apple fanboyism. The iPhone is fantastic for anyone that doesn't plan on customizing anything on their phones. It plays games well and the screen is pretty damn nice. For anyone that likes having full control of the thing you spent $500+ on, Android will always be the better choice, or at least until something better comes out. I'm sorry, I just can't see spending hundreds of dollars on a phone that's completely locked down to what the big corporation says you're allowed to have. And even if the specs are worse, itll always run faster because iOS is specialized to the iPhone, made specifically for it, while Android is made for a whole range of phones. iPhones cost more but realistically youre getting both on a contract so who cares?? They aren't created to actually slow down the device like Apple does. :) Another thing, my girlfriend had an iPhone 5 and I have a Android G'zone. My phone still works fine and she had to switch to a Galaxy. So maybe you should look into Android since their products don't fail people every year.

In real world situations, Iphone has always been more durable. My wifes galaxy broke the 3rd time she dropped it and the back cover always went flying. I've dropped my iphone 3 at least a couple hundred times and it still looks new.
Android > Lumia > IPhone. I tried all 3, I've had several androids (and i do prefer Samsung phones over all other androids, but hey, there all part of the same OS family). Only real reason Lumia is above IPhone is because the designs are better, and just like Android, you have a variety of phones (not the same like Iphones) as well you have freedom in its OS (not as much as android, but way more than IOS). Apple is really only good for there Ipads and Ipods.

Apple is more a software company than a hardware company. Samsung makes the hardware inside the majority of the iphone models so I don't quite understand how the iphone would be superior when marketing is a large portion of their business.
