Once worked at a place that used vitamixers in the kitchen, it was so annoying and demeaning to use that stupid ass plunger. So I brought my blendtec from home and showed the chef, he ordered two the next day, one for the kitchen and one for himself, LOL.
8 year warranty on a reconditioned unit. I use it every day, multiple times a day. Hands down the best blender on the planet!! Best marketing, best customer service, best motors!

I'd actually received a Blendtec blender for editing this from the producer (shhhh), and I'm not a shill for them - but I'm on my 386th blend (it counts), and when the blending carafes started to fail, they replaced them with an improved model. I would say the motor is crazy powerful - I'd definitely buy this over VitaMix. I feel the motor will last longer than the membrane switches. Boy, you wish you saw the raw footage :-)

Tom Dickinson is such an inspiring man. I’ve been watching Will It Blend since I was 10 years old; I’m 23 now… I still go back to watch old episodes. People in my family use the same red Blendtec Total Blender that Tom used in the videos. Great product, great company.

If you think somebody has a really good vision and the same opinions as you or you just really want the world become something the person tries to achieve with all the resources, you should support that person by all cost so that person would have even more resources (money, etc.) to make your dreams true. Unless, you are willing to do something like it yourself. Do you think all manual gasoline cars will change to autonomous electric cars quick enough if people don't buy the electric cars / try to convince the regulators about them? Didn't you know that technology (battery, robots, networks) tend to require money to develop. If people start buying a lot of batteries, it results in more companies, research, etc.
It’s amazing. Seems like the best ideas come from people with ADD, ADHD, Autism and ect. A lot of the kids or young adults who spend a lot of time cast out in the world, are the ones who make amazing things!
I've owned 2 blendec blenders. They are just as good as they say they are. It's really the real deal. I'm just a customer not paid for this comment. They are really that good.
Great blender, but wish to have the lid more securely locked. When it blends I’m always holding the lid because the feeling is it could open. This is not convenient, the blender has an automatic settings which should allow you go away while it does the job.
Tom Dickson should build the world's most powerful shredder, similar to SSI shredder. Then the question will be... Will it Shred? That is the question!

What does this clip try to prove? I think Blendtec suck :( We bought it from Costco months ago and just tried to make hot soup yesterday and it did not work. I ran the cycle twice. Not sure if we can still return the Blendtec back to Costco.
Proves nothing. It's a feel-good business news story, that's all it is. BTW, forget about the hot soup in a blender. You DO realize it gets its 'heat' from the rpms. Cook that on a stove and be real.
"3hp motor" sorry but no. Maybe technically **peak** hp but you're gonna trip the breaker before you pull 3hp out of a 120v appliance. I love the whole idea but come on, Blendtec, no need for shady marketing tactics like that.
@@richardgray8593 depends. If you make a 3hp motor and run it at a lower setting it will last longer. However its still going to need a capacitor to start up with a lower power source. toyota under tunes their engines so they last long.
@@richardgray8593 here in the 3rd world, we use the british 240V system. we had an old blender that pulled 2KW from the wall and it wasn't blendtec, and it didnt last either. If you convert, 3hp is 2.2KW, totally fine on our 240V systems that allow 13A out from the wall for a maximum of 3KW (2.8 if you bought a crappy extension). Like the US, manufacturers do not deviate from standard, that means despite the device rating,13A fuses were always used even when the extension used thinner wires and was rated for less A. In the US, i was horrified to learn that you dont have switched sockets, nor use fuses or gfci anywhere. All our houses in the 3rd world have centralised gfci. Point is, only houses in the US dont get the juicy power we do, i mean they do now but they lack the safety we have. In industrial use, powering high amp devices is not an issue as they have the voltage/amps to do so. SO when he says 3hp motor, most likely its for models used in shops that have access to that power needed.

The motor is insanely powerful. I've owned 2 of these and I'm blown away it can literally heat up liquid to almost a boil.
