In 2016 Razer decided they were going to bring a ton of high-end value to the market with this amazing laptop. 4k screen, eGPU compatible, anti-ghosting keyboard, backlit keyboard, oh my....Unfortunately, nothing is perfect and this Razer laptop has one major flaw.

Have you tried pressing the caps lock key twice...? I had that exact model and got the quad core one off of ebay, and for both of them on some Linux distros it would cause a kernel panic. 🙃

I like my dell mc6800. 32GBs of ram. space for three 2.5" disks and one disk on a chip. Screen is large at 17" but the resolution is 1920x1280 or something. Keyboard is backlit. Battery lasts 45 minutes and the power blocks have chips in them which the dell bios usually doesn't recognize all the time which is probably the worst part. It is disgusting when a PC manufacturer trips themselves up trying to force people to only buy their proprietary super expensive accessories. Weighs about 8 lbs. Costs about $1000 on ebay. Runs all flavors of linux without any hiccups.

I have nearly this exact model, my Stealth is a 16GB/512GB. Yes the construction is solid and the keyboard is great, BUT Razer's quality control and support are laughable. My friend and I both had our Razer Blade's batteries die at the same time a year or so after we bought them. He went through support, charged him an arm and a leg and months to get it back, while I tried asking them to send me a battery to replace it myself and they refused to help in any way. $70 spent on Amazon later I had a new battery and it was working again, for a while and then the battery stopped charging, only to then start charging again? There's also weird color distortion on my Stealth's screen. I've given up on Razer to deliver quality products and instead have given it to my fiancee as a dedicated Guild Wars 2 machine. If you are going to get a Razer Blade Stealth (which I insist you don't) try to get the quad-core model. It's the revision after the one shown in the video right before they overhauled the design.
