    That looked beautiful. Somewhere I’d like to take tent with me in summer. A nice long walk in.

      Camping sounds like a good option, I may do the same when I visit the other hills in the area, as they are so remote. Or at least take the bike in to the bothy if I plan a day trip. Cheers.

    thanks for sharing, takes me back to when i climbed this, the 2 other corbetts nearby and the Fisherfield munros (6 of back then) about 20yrs ago (not all at same time), it’s an amazing area and really appreciated the remoteness. wish gopros had been around back then!

    • @andy-astro
      @andy-astro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Susan. That's my first time in the area, looking forward to doing more. The gopros are amazing these days, really impressed with how good the footage is from such small cameras. Cheers.

      @@andy-astro Best of luck with ur adventures in this area! just re-read my comment and noticed i had written Fannichs instead of Fisherfield, 🤦‍♀️, updated now. Have had a gopro last couple of years and records great footage, just not so clued up on getting it onto YT, lol.

    • @andy-astro
      @andy-astro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@susanmurchie Thanks Susan. The best way is to learn to use video editing software to cut and order the clips, then add transitions and contrast/colour etc, making sure to set the project to the same settings as your footage (eg. 4k30/4k60). Then upload the finished project file (mp4) using the icon beside the bell at the top right of youtube. Takes a while for youtube to upload and then process the file to the highest quality.

    Lovely Andy, what a beautiful day you got in a beautiful area, love it up that way. Your edit was 1st class and it looked very remote, my cup of tea. Well done again Andy and your photos looking over to the Fisherfields were brilliant👍

      @andy-astro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers Frank. We had some great weather up here on the coast last week. That view into the Fisherfield I could watch for hours, I didn't want to leave the top. Looking forward to doing more in the area this year. Might take the bike for the others as they are much further in, and I think the path to the causeway is bikeable, for the most part.

    • @hikingwithfrank315
      @hikingwithfrank315 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@andy-astro yeh it’s a superb area Andy, I’m hoping to bike it to the causeway when I do the 2 fisherfield munros, I’ve got an E mountain bike now so it should make it a bit easier now. Maybe do a summit camp there, who knows⛺️🤞

    • @andy-astro
      @andy-astro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hikingwithfrank315 Yeah, would be a really long day without a bike. Summit camp might be the best idea too, waking up to that view from A'Mhaighdean would be quite special.

      May I ask how long the Land Rover track goes on for before you need to cut off it as I would probably do that part on my Ebike if it saves a bit of time?..Cool video mate .

      @@murchiesmountains2820 Hi, thanks. I took the shortcut on foot as per walkhighlands route which is about 6km to the cut off point near the ruins. If you take the bike round the slightly longer track route it will be about 7.5km to the cut off point.
