      Supply and demand determines value. Over abundance leads to low value or in this case low wages. Lack of enforcing immigration rules and limits leads to an over abundance of labor which decreases wages. The wage stagnation Democrats complain about is directly caused by illegal immigration.

      Face it. History is hard and there's a whole lot to read. 20 minutes covering hundreds of years. Please... 20 minutes is nothing. That's why people decide to go to university to keep on studying it. It's a lot, it's complex. Cut down on the laziness. It is very easy to just waste 20 minutes of your life in useless stuff.

    I do not understand why people would flee their country go to another country for a better life... so they must have thought America was better than their original place of birth . So why do so many immigrant people whether here legally or illegal .Once here refuse to to embrace America with all of their hearts. I'm not saying that they need to forget their heritage but to embrace America to want to assimilate with the people of the country you thought was better than the one they left . why would they rather replicate a community exactly like the one the left ... why come here and try to reproduce the exact same circumstances they left from . why not just stay in there country and work together to make it a better place to live .America was not made by peaceable means a lot of blood and lives were lost to make this nation that so many people want to live in . if American citizens can do it so can other people in other countries do what it takes to make their country's equally as great as the United State's of America. or who knows an even better place .

      ***** I think deporting all illegals would be so stupid first just run through a background check if they haven't raped or killed anyone they get to stay and proof their citizens what that would do is all the businesses that are hiring illegals would be forced to pay a fair wage or at least the minimum because all that cheap labor they had was due to the fact of the illegals or undocumented if you like had no other recourse but to accept the lesser wage if they were demanding fair wage or at least minimum I think that would drive our economy straight through the roof just my thought I live right here on the border and I really honestly don't see a lot of assimilation I dunno if any of Hispanic friends that do assimilate that are stimulated but I also see a lot that do not wish to do so I'm sure maybe it's because a lot of Americans white Americans don't make him feel at home and maybe the fact that they just don't want to be at home I'm sure bigger brains out there would have the answers

    • @billyholmes3
      @billyholmes3 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Alex Van Doren a lot of people want the borders secure how about this we have so many millions and millions of dollars in aid to foreign countries what if we offered Mexican generals a few million dollars every year to keep illegals coming over the border. I have a feeling that when the Mexican government and the Mexican generals see that their pockets are being filled by enforcing the borders I bet that would stop the flow of illegal undocumented people across the border no need for walls just making incentive for the Mexican side to stop the flow I have they say money talks

    Correction: The first successful colony in what today is the continental United States was established by Spain in 1565 in St. Augustine, Florida, NOT in 1607 in Jamestown, Virginia. Plus, Jamestown was not very successful, as it was abandoned in 1699. For that reason, Jamestown doesn't even qualify as the second-oldest successful colony: that title goes to Santa Fe, New Mexico (1607). The third-oldest colony is today called Hampton, Virginia (1610). As for your emphasis on the negative aspects of Columbus and the Spanish, other Europeans (e.g., the British, the French and the Dutch) brought death and destruction to the native people of America, too.

      +CMeads We know that whites caused a lot of problems. But lets not hide some of the information.
      The volatile environment in the America regions (hundreds of years ago) existed before the Europeans came. Tribes fought Tribes. Some Indians were peaceful. Just as some Whites were/are peaceful. Also the Indians were not always good stewards of the land. The would set the forest on fire because of boredom. They stampeded Buffalo herds off cliffs. Leaving the meat to rot. They over fished coastal areas causing extinction of species. Some of my information came from the University of Colorado and other universities studies on Indians. Indians are just like every culture on the planet. Some things great. Something not so good.

    • @jalen9461
      @jalen9461 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Natives set the forest on fire as a means of burning bacteria around an oak tree so the oak tree doesn’t die from disease. Not out of boredom. Some natives were brutal. Most just wanted to not have all of their land taken away. And most native groups were bullied into horrible reservations. The natives were bullied even when they left the reservations. And I should clarify that when I mean bully they would slaughter all of them with no warning even if they surrendered.

    The truth of the first settlers is: They were people who wanted freedom of religion. They became farmers and friends of the indigenous people. British government learned of the rich soil and multitude of land and brought in soldiers and (what they deemed leaders) to take over and rule. That was when the greed began. They ended up surpressing the settlers to do the famr work and work the British plantations while the British people flourished from the crops. When cotton and tobacco became a huge economic growth, the British acquired tremendously large plantations. That was when the British brought the African slaves to the United States.
    If you research how our government formed, you would understand that the founding forefathers (settlers) were the conservatives fighting to free themselves from the British governing and free slavery. The liberals were the British fighting to keep their slavery and rein over the people. This is where Republican and Democratic originates. Since the British (Democrats) lost the civil war, within that same year they established the first secret society (KKK). Founding forefathers were settlers that were not out to manipulate the natives of the land. European British government brought greed and corruption. Even after the civil war the Democrats have continued with their greed. This is why corruption remains in our government. This is why the Declaration of the Constitution was established. To protect the people of the land from government.
    Immigration is what made this country what it is. But people seem to forget about the people who were already here. I have yet to see these people flourish when they should have been the first to do so.
    Today, immigration by the masses is the worst a country can do. That is why the United States has always helped foreign countries to help slow down the immigration. Once you are over crowded, the nation is on the brink of destruction and everyone who lives on the land. Economy plunges downward, laws are harder to enforce, crime goes up, food becomes too scarce. At some point you have to control the immigration.
    Look at Europe today with immigration. The United States is headed for the same disaster. The Middle East have been at war for centuries and are now migrating by the thousands at a time and creating cultural annihalation. No assimilation. This is what NWO looks like. The ony way countries can avoid losing their cultures is to break away from the United Nation.

    The Dutch were quite successful in the early 17th century and throughout that century in establishing communities and civility. They actually defeated England to take New York back but then gave it back under the Treaty of Westminster in 1674. Hence, the name New York still stands. 8:33 is kind of funny though, it was the Japanese who dismantled European countries in Asia and forced their empires to pack up and leave Asia. It was the white man who was made to move in that instance.

      Two things:

      2. What gives you the right to generalize all Mexicans and claim that they all move to the US illegally? And even if they do, are you aware of how difficult it is to legally come to the US? People wait DECADES before even hearing back from the department of immigration. Now, imagine that your family is at risk of being robbed, being killed, or even dying of starvation due to the corrupt state of Mexican government. What would you do? As a fellow Latin American, it truly is disappointing to see that some would rather side with xenophobic propaganda than with one another.

Think of it this way, they were basically used to do cheap labor, could not demand any wage change, had horrible conditions, etc. trump getting rid of them does nothing to help this country. Crime will not go down as it has been proven that immigrants (EVEN MEXICAN ONES) are less prone to crime than their "American" counterparts. And they are not stealing US jobs. Trust me, they're getting the crappiest jobs out there and god forbid any one but a white guy have 1rst rights to a job. Because as far as anyone is concerned, the "true Americans" commited genocide on the real Americans that lived here. Which is something no other type of immigrant has done when they come here.

      When did I say that Mexicans with 55% European ancestry look "European"? That would make them mixed race, which would give them European and indigenous features. And why do you use a 100 year old census? Knowing Mexico and it's history, the 10% were most likely people of 100% European ancestry or with ties to Europe, meaning people of 70-99% European ancestry would count them selves as mixed, since that was the ideal citizen promoted by the government. And yeah, a Mexican who says "vos"....like a true Mexican would....

    The mention of Ellis Island in NY Bay and Angel Island in SF Bay doesn't date their establishment. Ellis Island didn't begin its immigration operation until 1892, well after much immigration spurred by the Irish and European potato famines. Angel Island didn't begin its immigration operation until 1910. As was mentioned, the US Border Patrol wasn't established until 1924. One pithy issue that's often unmentioned is how all of the 19th Century immigration limitations and exclusions didn't pertain to the rest of this hemisphere, only to transoceanic immigration. Latin America was not targeted until the 20th Century. During the Mexican Revolution, 1910-1920, in hopes of garnering inroads into Mexico's nationalized oil fields, the US essentially opened its borders to Mexican refugees. The Mexican civil war took more than a million civilian lives but hundreds of thousands had crossed into the US for refuge and many stayed, legally.

    Wow. So many false claims in this video. The Arawaks were not at all friendly. African slaves were not "stolen", they were sold by African slave owners in Africa. That's why it's called the "African slave trade"
    And don't get me started on the Irish.

      You're a liar...American slaves arrived in America by British and American slave ships...and it's all written in American History books.
      U pathetic liar.

    You think these Indian tribes weren't racist? We can talk about the Mound people in America who were exterminated by other Indian tribes with no reservations made, no consideration made for the indigenous people; the Mound people who built the Mound culture from the Great lakes all the way down to the mouth of the Mississippi, and to the East, and middle section of America.
    You think the Aztecs didn't conquer other tribes?

    Indian populations today are flourishing and they have their own areas which they have literally control over. They're not even subject to many Federal laws or state laws and I think that's good; and I think that they have a right to preserve their heritage.
    Their population figures were never huge in these huge vast Americas; and there were migrations of people historically; but there's no need to assign a terrible guilt to Europeans any more than there's need to assign guilt to Indians because of some of their actions in the past.

      ***** When you look at the struggle between Europeans and Indians many hundreds of years ago now; and you look at that struggle...Well, the truth is Indian tribes themselves had struggle among their own people. It's the law of life, you can't condemn European peoples for that anymore than you condemn Indians for the fact that the Aztec conquered other tribes; you can't condemn that anymore than you can condemn the Cherokee Indians for wiping out the Mound people; And (btw) they built no reservations for them.
      But, I actually admire the spirit of the Indian peoples standing up for themselves and I honor them; and I also honor the European people for the same value system.

      karthik chevuru I'm a European American that certainly wants to preserve my European culture, and heritage, and values; and at the same time I really admire, and I respect the Indian culture.
      And there have been many Americans, leading Americans from the earliest times of colonialism who also respected Indian culture and who worked hard to make sure that Indian culture wasn't wiped out (that they had reservations) unlike the Mound people who were wiped out and Genocided.
      I celebrate when the Indians of the Southwest say, 'We want to preserve our culture, we want to preserve our heritage, our genealogy, we want to preserve our ways'. I Clap my Hands.
      I actually admire the spirit of the Indian peoples standing up for themselves and I honor them; and I also honor the European people for the same value system.
