I once dropped a tool off of a scissor lift and as it fell I sang the chorus and timed the "pfffft" to the tool hitting the ground, no joke I thought my coworker was going to fall off the lift from laughing so hard.
@@TankoYanko Don't ruin it for me: I envisioned you and coworker swaying around at the top of that lift like all the treasure seekers at the top of the ladder in climatic scene from "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!" Like this Buck Owen's song, I don't visit often, but that slapstick movie never fails to cheer me up, even with Jimmy Durante kicking-the-bucket at the beginning.
"I searched the world over, and I thought I'd found true love. You met another, and PFFT you were gone!"MAN,I'm never gonna forget that song!Sure was funnier than "dancin' bear!"
You said he was tall and ruggedly handsome. To capture his heart, you had made a plan. You said for his love, you'd pay a big ransom. Said Johnny Cash sure was your kind of man. In fighting for love, you where a battler. You'd fight anything short of a gun. But you fell in love with the brothers named Statler. You can't beat odds that are four against one. Where, oh where, are you tonight? Why did you leave me here all alone? I searched the world over, and thought I found true love. You met another and PFFFFTTTTT!!!!! You where gone.
Sorry about that I hung up on on other than being on hee Haw 🤗I searched TH-cam over and over🤔 🤔and I kept getting just the guest shots of people on hee Haw😗 so thank you so much🤗 this is got to be the best heartbreak😖😞 songs ever😥 it brought a tear to my eye😢 but now I'm smiling 🤗🤗😂😁 because I got the house the Corvette And """half that woman's money !!! and she got full custody of all the kids😱😵 and no child support for me😉 matter fact she has to pay me alimony 😌the Lord works in mysterious ways🙉🙈🙊 True story little Jack SoCal OPB 😎
Love it when these 2 perform together. I saw an episode last night, with Buddy and archie doing this bit, and i dont think buck ever paired up with archie for it.
That was cute. How many verses did that song get? Those are different from Archie Campbell's original recording. But I recall at least one appearing on Hee Haw.
Oh, you're not the only one my friend..I actually thought it was Jack Mac..The resemblance is just unreal..Similar to George Jones when he teamed up with The Voice Vern Gosdin and sang "All that we got left...In case you guys wanna hear it, here it is..Take care guys, nice talkin' to a couple good ole cowboys!!th-cam.com/video/dUcYW1nqqgI/w-d-xo.html
"Ah searched the world over and thought I'd found true love. You LET a nother'n and pfft, You were gone!" I know,it's you "met" a nother'n and pfft, you were gone, but the song is pitiful, nonetheless. Pitiful, but REAL funny!
I lost the diamond out of my wedding ring yesterday -- I thought of the chorus of this song! 🤣😂

I just saw Buddy at the National Fiddler's Hall of Fame induction in October. Don Rich was inducted posthumously on October 22, 2021. Buddy performed.
Roy & Buck!!🌹💯🙏🤣
That was really cool :)
I think of this song every time I think of the Big League baseball player named Plouffe (Trevor Plouffe, formerly of the Minnesota Twins).
Never gets old
Where are you tonight by Buddy Allen, and Buck Owens 'Southwest Airlines'
I can't decide if this is art representing my life or the other way around. I suppose it doesn't matter at this point? ;..(
I was trying to think of this song at work tonight.
my mom just remembered this song out of nowhere
why. _why._

Laney, YES! I kept picturing him while listening to this. Glad I'm not the only one.
