I can never decide what amazes me more - the quality of the builds or the stop motion animation. Either one is impressive, but together they're just magical. I love watching your videos .
I’ve watched thousands of model build videos prior to purchasing a particular kit. Some on tanks, some on ships, and planes, trucks, and various other types. This video has to be the best. Absolutely stunning work.
Without a doubt, The best build video of any model I have ever seen anywhere. The quality of the model making work is only surpassed by the videography. Stunning. Awesome. Superb.
This is an Academy Award worthy presentation. I kid you not!! I am awestruck by your work Tom. There are no words. You are master at your various crafts!!!
Fantastic work Tom - you are a genius! Thanks for sharing! I’m 75, and have taken up modelling again after a 60 year hiatus ( now that I’m grounded due to Covid) and found your site by chance........I’ve spent the last 3 hours watching your work, and I’m fascinated!
I am impressed. Very good job and really hard work. TH-cam needs more talented and hardworking people like you and not only people who melt or crash or burn things. Subscribed.
When I watch your airplane videos, I am stunned by your skills, but also the genius and skills of the aircraft pioneers and builders. The use of wire to create stability (maybe even more apparent in the Sopwith Camel video than the Fokker video) is just brilliant. How anyone figured out how to create a rugged airframe with such flimsy materials is just stunning. In any case, your videos (which I have been devouring) have made me think about these planes in a whole new way. You have so inspired me that I bought the Fokker kit (I mentioned in a prior post that my grandfather was a Fokker mechanic in WW1). Hopefully I can make it shine.
It really made me think about these early plane designers as well. Building ship models has made me appreciate the technology of those early ships that was honed over centuries of sailing. It’s like I’m visiting the minds of these people from history.
It occurred to me half way through, l'm watching this masterpiece at no charge. I consider this a privaledge. I used the link to Amazon U.S. to check the price. I was amazed to find that Haynes offers a workshop manual for the Camel as well as other war birds and the Merlin engine.
Just the best model building videos on TH-cam. On the internet. Just anywhere! Thanks so much for your work! My 2 year old boy is transfixed by them...and so am I!
At one point I felt like watching an animation not real model kit being assembled in real life, a model builder, a director, a photographer, an artist all in one,👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
By any standards this is an amazing piece of work! Both your model making skills and your video production are simply fantastic Tom. Every video you produce is a work of art in itself; truly wonderful.
The mind of a de Vinci and the eye of a Michelangelo. You operate at a level far above most and make it possible for everyone to enjoy. I truly appreciate your work and look forward to more. Why some Hollywood label hasn't picked you up yet is a mystery for another time.
I'm not sure there's much more that can be added to the comments already made about your extraordinary skills, Tom. But what I also love is the way you keep pushing yourself creatively. Well done, another superb video.
This is absolutely amazing. You should call your channel Saint Toms Modelling in Motion because you have the patience of a saint, as my Nan always used to say. My Nan was from Darlington, UK and told me about the blackouts, hiding in the underground shelters singing the time away and the rationing. She was a war bride who came to Canada on convoy and my Grandad was a bomb aimer in a Handley Page Halifax, 429 "Bison" Squadron. He did 32 bombing missions and I have his log book that he kept. Love your work, Tom. You are grade A badass at this stuff!
These are so amazing. I absolutely love seeing the bones of these old planes.. the first generation of fighter aircraft and they were canvas and wood frames with anemic engines.... those men must have seemed insane to be willing to try to fly them.
@@TomGrigat As a life-long aeromodeller, I have built over 500 model aircraft, all of which have flown. Jf their oerformance reduced them to dust gathers, I destroyed them. I don't denegrate your achievement, but please see it from my perspective.
Bonjour ! Je regarde vos vidéos comme de véritables petits fims, pleins de charme et de poésie. Merci et bravo pour ces moments d'évasion ! J'espère que vous trouverez l'inspiration encore longtemps.
You are not only a master builder..you are also a computer genius. Your vids are a pleasure to watch. I have just purchased the Sopwith Camel and I am in for a challenge...lol
The folks over at the Making It podcast recommended your channel. I am grateful they did. This is amazing work, I am going to recommend your channel to my son who is a big airplane fan.
What makes a Master? Consistent excellence, and innovation and flair. you give the name "Tom" a great reputation. Cheers on another wonder. i loved the grey figure and how you integrated him. Outstanding.
I am absolutely amazed over this video! I have watched it several times and it gets even better each time! The quality is unbelievable! I anxiously await any other videos you produce!
I have many and varied tastes and follow a multitude of YT sites but yours are a cut above anything else out there. In my humble opinion you have 'won the internet'. Words cannot describe the admiration I have for all of your posts, this one in particular is even better than the brilliant rest. I thank you sir for brightening my day and giving me something to aspire to.
Very possibly one of the finest build videos ever on TH-cam. And the model quality is equally impressive. Thank you for all your hard work in both the model construction and the video production. You are a master, indeed.
I'm very glad to hear you like my work 😊 when I am experienced enough and well trained I would like to try your wood sailing ships with lot of rigging - I have a plastic "black pearl" in 1/72 which is waiting to be assembled. This kind of ship is kind of a modelling goal to achieve...
Fantastic, Tom, the films are getting better and better. I doubt your modelling skills can go any higher. I also love how you play with the depth of field.
Tom, you are THE master at this, absolutely brilliant how you made this vid and the construction of this musem model. To me it was a great blend of music, film and animation.

Wow, thanks a lot for your kind words 😊
HOLY MOLY! Brilliant, inspiring and amusing. This should win an award (Oscar for best Construction Video anybody?) - it is, simply, sublime.
That little plastic man does some fine work, whatever you're paying isn't enough!
No, it isn't 😂
He does some amazingly fine work considering where his anus is. How it doesn't put him off I'll never know...

Thanks
Make a model like that is one thing, but film it like you did, a different story...hats off!
thanks a lot...
I respect this as modelling at its whole is really time consuming so i cannot imagine how long it was for you to create this!

I'm very pleased to hear you subsribed. Feel free to take a look at my other clips. Thank you.
Just brilliant. I loved every second of it...and then a Storm Trooper came in. Tremendous!

Now Thomas, let's be honest here; admit it. You had that little man do most of the work. Right?
Tom, a fantastic job. made me smile. I want one now.
Thanks 😂😂😂
Loved the stop motion. While watching I was thing about how it would look with a couple of mechanics dressed in period clothing. Great work

@@daveday5507 I guess you missed the technical achievement of his video production.

Yes, this little guy is my most prolific worker on these topics 😎
