Do you need a special acct to short? Or a certain amount of money in your acct?
Just a margin account. Cash accounts can not short.

I find it strange that you can use someone else's shares to make money, unless they are charging you interests on those borrowed shares? If so, how much? And if you do sell them for a considerate amount of money does the person who borrowed them get any of the profit, including how much he was " hiring them" out to you for?

It is very logical to collect onschain from the bottom price and sell it after 6-12 months, the price will increase every two weeks.
Look at how much percentage the company gives you on your quarterly dividends when holding a stock for over 3 to 12 months. This is only my opinion though.

Honestly, As an absolute beginner, looking to make some money off this, I couldn't make out much and that's the same issue I have with a lot of videos I come across.
I'd recommend you get yourself an actual FA if you really want to get in instead of starting with guesses. They're not half as expensive as you think and know the market better. Experimenting with TH-cam-based suggestions may not be the best for you. I know this from experience and as somebody who has made real money off stocks. Goodluck.

You should start by looking out for those from known firms and good track records. You should also make sure the person is licensed. Personally, I use Kelly Matwick. She's good and you could also look her up.
