You actually got me in to buying stocks today !
I'm starting very small , just looking for some cheap stock to get the feel of how it works etc.
And today, first day, i was directly into a small profit :)
It's so much fun aswell as making me nervous a bit...then again, i just put in a 100euros and split it over 3 different small stocks.
Now spending hours on forums, stock-articles etc just to see how the market etc works ...seems like i already made the right choices for long-term aswell , if i atleast can believe the people on these forums.
Nevertheless, already looking for alot better profit then in the savingsaccount, so I'm not complaining :)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge !

I’m mostly in cash and waiting for market to re-level on the reality of our situation. Or are there any ways I can avoid a crunch and maximize my savings of $550k? I know election years are positive for the stock market about 90% of the time. Meanwhile, I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more as recession fear increases.

Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.

There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. Your goals will help shape your investment strategy.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Diversification means spreading your investments across different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate) and within those classes (different companies or industries). This helps reduce risk.

I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time .This comment serves as motivation for all those who have invested and continue to invest in cryptocurrencies with so many losses, do not give up, cryptocurrencies can change your life. Do your best to connect with the right people and you will surely see changes.

They will get bored, move on to the next thing and that stock will rebound. And that is what happened.

I rarely comment but you simplified both Fundamental and Qualitative Analysis so seamlessly in 12 minutes, and there are hour long videos on TH-cam that made far less sense than yours. Thank you.

Also invest money in stocks when they are going to drop new products such as apple before they drop the new iPhone or gamestop or Sony when a new PlayStation drops, those type of things because when those drop they will gain profit and your stock will increase

Investing in alternative income streams that are independent of the government should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. Stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.

Avoid con games that seem too good to be true. Speak with a fiduciary counsellor; these experts are among the best in the field and provide customers with customised advice based on their risk tolerance. While there are unfavourable ones, those with a strong history can be really good.

I admit that before the pandemic got really serious, I handled all of my investments and was fairly good at it. However, after the pandemic, my portfolio was consistently in the red with a profit rate at its lowest. At that point, I contacted a coach I saw mentioned on Businessweek, and he reorganised my portfolio; in the last few months, I've made over $850k from my initial $210K.

I agree, before the pandemic got real serious, I used to handle all my investment and I was pretty good at it, fast forward to post-pandemic and my-portfolio is steady in the red with profit rate down to the lowest, that's when I touched-base with a coach I saw featured on businessweek, who restructured my portfolio and over the last couple months, I've made over $850k from initially $210K

fascinating! I am new to this whole thing. I've heard that now is a wonderful time to buy, and basically, I have some cash hanging around in the bank that I would really like to spend, especially since inflation is at an all-time high. Who is this coach that helps you, and may I check them up?

Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Vivian Carol Gioia for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

Wise to tell that a relationship is also an investment. Time and money and it can be devastating no matter the wealth. It's first time i heard about it. It's about not throwing all into it and pick the right partner. Even tho you can't be 100% sure. It's important to protect yourself in case of divorce

For newbies time in the market is better than timing the markets. One of my favorite quote from Ken Fisher. This has been one of the reason people don't make it in financial markets, cos they don't understand time. You get in on time, you would make profits other than buying the hype and later losing out.

Risk management, early entry and exits points, access to own stocks which is isn't available to the general public, these are few of many advantages. I remember watching the Top Gear episode where they drove the Tesla when I was a kid and thinking "that's a cool concept, but it'll still probably just stay as a niche market".
    Oh boy was I wrong.
If only I pestered my parents into investing into Tesla, maybe we'd be millionaires right now :P

Thanks Mark, this should help bring my stock picking back down to Earth. From November I was in a number of stocks, and peaked at about a 35% gain before watching all those gains get wiped away again, all within about 3 months. I kept the money I deposited though. After a break, I've largely stuck to ETF's since - Slower, but safer. But still long for the bigger gains that stocks can bring, if done sensibly.
