I recently saw an amazing building tip!! If you build a double wall, the game doesn’t consider the adjacent room, so you don’t need the actual space between rooms! Then you just need to put either two arches or a door + an arch. Hope it helps!!
I think you could use this trick on the ground floor where you have those little cubes with the lights in them to make the room skewed. A single floor support and double wall should still result in skewed without wasting the lighting to ward off voidshrooms
Seeing as there is limited research to do in total, why not make a good staff (lightning type I assume) who loves research and lock them away with everything they will need until the entire research tree is finished. A good challenge planning that far ahead for a shut in researcher, you've already got an attic over the graduation ritual and a spare research station you could repurpose to be the hermitage. Been enjoying Palworld playthroughs myself so going to check out yours.
That isn’t a bad idea. A wolfkin that doesn’t mind sleeping on the floor would probably do well locked in a mages hermitage! I went with a different vibe for the Palworld playthrough, it’s much more relaxed. I’d be interested to hear if you like the chill style of if I should stick to how I’m doing the Mind over Magic let’s play
44:09 I am still very confuse by your design, why the height? It is so inefficient, and a waste of space. You only need 5 tiles height for the windows. Which brings back my previous question: have you load up my saves and had a look at my bedroom design? The reason I design it to be the exact size needed is because the more "steps" it takes for your staff to climb the stairs, the more time it wasted on "walking". I still really hope the game designer would make "teleportation portal" a thing, I mean, this is a mage school ffs.
Haha yeah, I was following the design I originally did, which had Lofted. Well I don't need Lofted this playthrough! Totally agree on portals, that is probably the #1 new feature I would like to see!
@@Wympy1 Well, I was having future planning in mind, if the latest tech requires 5k to finish, what might be the future tech require. 20k maybe? 2 just won't cut it in the future I guess hehe. On the plus side, if you finish all the tech research quick you can empty the room for something else. 😀
Wait, is Isolated not possible by just making it part of its own foundation or something? At least that's what I was thinking, but havent tested it. Kinda messed up if you gotta lock a mage there lol. Guess that means you gotta build a whole ensuite for them or something. Or have your ghost stay there.
Savant scrolls come from graduating/retiring Tier 2 and 3 wands and Adept scrolls come from tier 1 wands. You need both so that’s why you see me hire so many tier 1 students.
So I've finally caught up to this in my own playthrough, and yeah it SUCKS that the ONLY way to get hallowlily is from graves. Not only do you need that for a lot of good stuff, but its legit ridiculous to have to kill people just to farm this one thing. And what makes it worse is that its 'better' if you kill fresh students, since they dont have any death saves, UGH. Dark sht. Also it feels like the 'end game' is just not finished or not thought out. I guess this game is still in early access? But sheesh, there's almost no point in doing certain research later on, and certainlly no reason to get an advanced or any of the specialized classrooms. I guess I'll see if this changes once I make lvl 3 wands, but sheesh. Also also, the resources you need for those better potions (and other materials) is just ridiculous. Why so much thorntooth and such? And yeah, scrivening is wayyyyy too expensive. To the point where it makes no sense whatsoever to even do it. And why is sinew becoming Such a bottleneck?! I feel like there should be more ways to generate it, or even just to use something other than that resource for so many things. Somebody said it before but I'd LOVE a freaking teleport item as well!! Really hope they fix this stuff. Even though I'm complaining, I do so out of love! I really enjoy this game!! Hoping they add more interesting stuff, not just make things harder, because I enjoy just making all the rooms and stuff!
I can’t agree more, I have just about all the same thoughts/concerns as you! I do think they are working on some of these issues though. Like since this video went out, they made it so you get a good amount of hollowlily from some battles. The game is still in early access and the devs do seem to be listening to and implementing feedback , which I love to see!
Damn that really sucks that you gotta kill off your own people like that! Should be able to summon or even retire your staff that has been there a while into ghosts as they die of 'old age'!
These are wonderful, thank you for putting them out.
39:56 answer to your riddle: 2 Dragonflask, 1 earth armor, 1 reju
I don't know why I binge watched all 7 episodes but I did.
Monster episode, thanks for this video!
I am glad you liked it :D
Yes! Woot!

Whoa, I had no idea it worked like that. Thanks for the tip!

55:56 Now that's better lol.

7:34 you know what is better than 1 arcane secretary in a research room? 4 arcane secretary in a research room....
Meet me halfway, 2? :)

Nope, it’s only possible if the room has no access to any other room :(
There is prolly an obvious answer to this question ... but ... why did one Student provide Savant scrolls for graduating and the other 3 gave Adept ?

Where is episode 8?!
It’ll be out this week!
