Great review! I just ordered the Sonic series Precision bass through guitar center, it is a limited run surf green for $179.99. It has a jazz neck on a p body-I normally like a precision neck but I have never had a jazz neck on a p bass and this was nice deal. The bronco sounds phenomenal, excellent playing.
Not sure why I'm surprised (Squier basses always seem to be pretty solid quality), but that's a pretty great tone for $200 - cool it's a short scale as well
This is the 3rd bronco I’ve owned. I had 2 from the mid 2000s and neither of those ones sounded or played this good. I’m not sure what they changed, but it’s a GOOD change. The pickup in particular just sounds so much better than the previous ones. I have a strat sized bass (4 pole AlNiCo) pickup to put in it, but I’m not sure I will. I like the stock one fine.
@@zacharyroush1207I put a Lace Sensor pickup in mine, sounds more like a single coil should compared to the hot rail or hot stack type pickups, while also noticably quieter regarding hum than a standard single coil...used to have an older bronco that I installed two lipstick tube pickups in, they're fun basses to mod and these new ones are even better because the bridge and tuners have alot more options than the older ones
Stevie Wonder bass line! And you thought no one would recognize it. Good playing.Could you give me the weight(as close as possible) on that Bronco? I have back problems and it matters a lot.Good vid---I play 6-string too, Martin acoustic,Gibson Les Paul(sitting down). Thanks!
Is the pickup noisy? I want a smaller backup bass that I can use at certain shows. I’ve been thinking of getting the sonic bronco and upgrading the tuners, bridge, and pickups/electronics
Just ordered one and I can’t speak on the pickup yet. Seems to have a little hum as is normal with a single coil pickup. You should be able to correct that mostly by copper shielding the cavity and pick guard. Or upgrade to a humbucker.
@@renehammel6420 I bought one. I replaced the pickup, the bridge, the electronics, and the tuning pegs. I’d say the pickup was the most important upgrade. It comes with a single coil strat pickup. I put in a nice Lindy Fralin but any cheap 50s era p bass pickup will make it sound way better. I love it now.
Amazing! What kind of strings do you use for this short scale gem? Regular strings or short-scale strings? Thank you 🙌
I'd buy it. Thanks for the review.

That looks like a fun little rig to noodle around on in the living room. I love the short scale length. What does it measure?
It’s a 30” scale length

maybe if we could hear the bass and not the bass in your room.....this is pretty pointless…
