I’m very please this video helped explaining about the product 👍. Feedbacks like this is a joy to read❤. Thank you for the wonderful comments and taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome day. Stay safe😎
We've actually had this oven for over 4 years I believe and let me tell you it still works like a charm! My mother uses this a lot to bake bread and other goodies for her restaurant. She's been using it ever since the day we bought it and it still works great! It looks a lilttle dirty and rusted inside, but it cooks very nicely and evenly.
Awesome 👍. Great to hear an oven such as the Oster French Door is still going strong after 4 years . And would love to be in the kitchen during the time your mother is baking bread, the aroma coming out of this oven must be fantastic 😊. Thank you for the comments and taking your valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome rest of your week and stay safe😎.
Thank you for sharing that bread bakes well in this.
Our wall oven died the other day and hubby is looking at Emeril Lagasse dual oven with rotisserie, but it's too small for his 15" pizzas. Maybe we can just get both.
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I was searching for some help as I just got mine 2 weeks ago. You’ve really helped this Missouri Lady😊
Oh🤗! You’re very welcome. I’m so pleased the video given you some help with the new Oster French Door Oven! I only wish you many years of joy and awesome dishes from your new countertop oven. Again, thank you for the wonderful comments ❤. And thank you for taking your valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome week and stay safe 😎
How do you preheat it
You answered every question I had about this product and then some. I appreciate it. NOW I can easily use my new oven happily.
That is sooooo Awesome! Jack, I;m pleased the video worked out and can’t wait for your personal experience using the new Oster Countertop oven. As you may notice, I don’t cut or hide the pros and cons based on my own use. So, don’t hold back if you so desired to share your personal experience too -pros & cons.

I just bought it and love it 😊 work great 👍
Awesome 👍! Congratulations on your new Oster Convection French Door Oven. Wishing you only the very best for years to come with the new countertop oven. Thank you for taking your valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome weekend and stay safe😎
Greetings 😊 thank you for your valuable time. I for one appreciate your videos.
You might put it in a cooking bag if you have one to keep the mess off the sides of your oven just a suggestion I buy those cooking bags and they really help keep the mess down and keep it contained and you can still see through them to see how your chickens doing and it’s still Browns.
Kathy, What a wonderful suggestion using cooking bags👍👍👍. Many times used baking bags for standard ovens and why I didn’t think of that for countertop ovens -LOLOL. Yeah, that would be a game changer keeping the inside countertop ovens clean. Again, awesome advice 🙌. That said, thank you for an outstanding comments, it is really appreciated❤. After the new year many new videos to be aired. I ended up with Covid and it’s the long term after effects that prevented me from working on many of the projects. In the mean time I make to try to respond to many of the comments. I am moving forward with God’s blessings 🙏and as stated will be back on air after the new year. Until then, thank you for taking your valuable time out watching my videos. May you and yours have an awesome blessed up coming holidays. 😎
Great presentation sir, just bought me one Oct. 2021. I love it already. Thank you very much.
Most pizzas from frozen can be placed on the rack...so both sides are well cooked. The tray you cover with foil is the drip pan. Perhaps a silicone mat would be better for cleanup. Nothing sticks to them.
Thank you for the great review. Hubby just brought this oven home as a surprise for me. I was excited to use it but needed more info before I used it . Your great review has helped me a lot , thanks again keep up the good work! :)
Jacque, Congratulations 🎈🎉🍾! How awesome you were surprised with an Oster French Door Convection Oven from your awesome hubby -LOVE IT👍. I can’t wait to hear what you think or personal experiences using your new oven. Yes, this is a perfect timing to put this baby to use -HOLIDAYS. More so, like most stuff, small appliance’s hard to come by. So yeah, this is wonderful news. I wish you and yours many years of good health and good eating from your new counter oven.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments 🤗. And thank you for taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe!🤓
Just came across your video. thank you for sharing, great info. Have a great day
Awesome this video was provided info you may had needed. Thank you for the comments and taking your valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome weekend and stay safe😎
i love your video! i have been looking for one with this oven! im making a chicken right now in this same oven! wanted to see how you got it in there. mine was 6.-- pounds. i used the deep tray it came with. it didnt fit. so i used the the drip tray to set it on the bottom the lowest level. 375⁰ convection 1h 40min. think if i would have used a longer pan in there it would have fit on the rack. THANK YOU♥︎♡♥︎♡
Oh wow, that is a big bird 🐤. If I recall, the chicken cooked in this oven was around 5 or so lbs. Any of the pans I had mention will work with a 6 lbs bird. For some reason the bird is too close to the top grill, add foil on top of the bird and leave it half way during cooking time. Just remember to time it. Yeah, very pleased to hear you’re loving the countertop oven 🤗. It’s brings me joy to hear folks like yourself when products are working the way it should👍. Any question please don’t hesitate to ask. I will do my very best getting back.
Thank you for the wonderful comments and taking your valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe😎

Bought this Oven because my 11 year old son said it worked great. All after he came across your video.
And he was right. He loves making pizzas and cinnamon rolls in it.
Dandy, WOW! That is so Awesome 👏! Your son wasn’t only correct, but absolutely astounding -👍. I am so happy the countertop oven is working out. Check out recipes here on TH-cam from other TH-cam Content Creators using this model or similar, great ideas and videos. Please give your son a thumbs up for me 👍. Love how you did the measurements of this oven.. and knocked on the outside.. its beautiful sounds cheap to me.. but I love it.. trying to decide between this one and the digital version.. Thank you for this video.. my 12 year son loved watching this video.. He giggled & loved your spirit (Your happiness)💙 as I did..
Wow! Allow me to say this again, Wow! Thank you and your 12 year son for the wonderful feedback. There is nothing more that gives me pleasure than putting a smile on someone face -a giggle too. In returned, reading your comment gave me a smile too! From the bottom of my heart, thank you both!
As to digital or not begs the question? Personally, I prefer non digital. For the last few years owning the Oster digital XL countertop convection oven was a pain to set cooking temperature and time. At times, the settings responded and other times, difficult. Sometimes, I had to firmly press onto the digital panel so hard for the oven to respond. Whereby, the Oster French door model with the dial settings made a huge difference, responsive and less of a pain to set vs the digital panel. Yeah, I would highly recommend the Oster French Door Oven.
Thank you both for taking the time out watching my video. More importantly, thank you again for making my night with your awesome comment! Have an awesome night and be safe in all you do! Sending smiles back. -Lou
This thing rocks. Please Oster, never change this model !

I just purchased the same oster product.Sir I'm wanting to know how to roast my 2 leg quarters on the turbo convection setting also on what temperature setting of the oven. Just picked mine up an hour ago. Have a blessed day,and thank you for such a wonderful review.
Very entertaining! Going to get one today. Glad ya don't let the haters get to you. Think about it like this, if you keep getting hate comments, just know that you're doing something right, and that should drive you to keep it up because at the end of the day, the majority of your comments are positive which simply means that a lot of people that come across your videos 1. Like your content and 2. Stick around to watch more.
Awesome feedback! Correct, I don’t let the haters get to me, if I did, it would only gratify their on going negative lifestyles. Plus, I would only allow their hate to win. Your comment is an inspiration that people can hold back judgment and show kindness instead. The world isn’t perfect but that is why we need more people like yourself to help make it a better place for all to live in.
I can’t wait for your final results after getting the countertop oven. Please let me know your experience and is it as good as I had stated. Don’t hold back any negative experience, sharing will only help others for a final decision. Yeah, please share your pros or cons. Can’t wait to hear back.
Again, thank you so much for your comments and taking the time to watch my video. Have an awesome week and be safe my friend. -Lou
Thanks for the reply. So far I was able to make a 16" frozen pizza and it honeslty tasted better than if I were to make it in the oven lol. I put it at the pizza setting (400°F at 22mins) crispy and all. So to answer your question, so far so good, I guess I'll have to bake a chicken/ veggies and make some fries next!
@@carandwar That is awesome my friend! Love it! I believe the chicken is going to turn out just as good as the pizza. Just keep it simple when preparing the chicken. Too often we have the tendency to add tons of butter or stuff the cavity with everything under the sun and wonder why it takes too long to cook or not turning out as juicy as other chickens do. Either way, I’m certain this bird and veggies is going to be a hit! Can’t wait for the final results.
Also, I have two new videos coming soon, countertop steam ovens. We posted F.Blumlein countertop steam oven and that was a surprised for the viewers and myself. Adding two more steam ovens. We finished the one and soon to post. Second countertop steam oven just arrived today and have it tape during the weekend. So, keep an eye out for both videos.
Have awesome night. -Lou

Jorge, If you end up purchasing the countertop oven, I would like to know your personal experience, pros and cons. Remember, most outlets provide a 30 day return policy. So, if you’re not satisfied then return it within the 30 days of purchase. If you do keep it, please share!!! Thank you for taking your valuable time watching my video. Have an awesome day!!!
One question about doing cooking with the convection function, and that is can you put the item you are cooking and preheat as it's in there without burning/ overcooking it?
And should you turn the food like in a microwave oven for even doneness?
Sharondancer, Great question🤗! There are times I will preheat the countertop oven with an item already inside the oven, convection settings or not. Sometimes, I prefer doing this method because opening the oven door will cause all the heat to be released and then the oven needs to build it back up after placing the food inside. So, whatever I am cooking or baking I will keep an eye on it during the last 10 minutes of cooking/baking time -just to be sure not to over cook/bake. Again, convection or not, applies to both. Yeah, I don’t have a issue with preheating with food inside the oven at the same time -countertop ovens only. Just keep an eye on what your cooking or baking during the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
Burning? That will depend on what you’re cooking and rack level your item is on. Even with convention settings, the top/bottom oven heating elements is on and it is hot. When I cook fish, middle rack. Turkey or chicken, bottom rack or one rack above bottom (depending on bird size.) Tater tots, one rack above the middle. Sometimes, I placed tin foil on top of the proteins I’m cooking during a short period and remove it “quickly,” and finish cooking without the foil. Some folks don’t like foil and prefer not to use it, but I do. I don’t use foil all the time, when needed -not an issue for me.
Note: Yes, removing the foil by opening oven door will release the heat. But, oven has been on for sometime and it wouldn’t take too long for the heat to build back up. Neither will this effect your cooking time using this method.
If cooking turkey 🦃, fish 🐠, chicken 🐔, I recommend a oven temperature gage that is made to go inside the oven. Aside from baking, placing these types of proteins at the same time when preheating the oven with a temperature gage, you won’t over cook it or don’t need to check for the last 10 minutes. Oven temperature gages are inexpensive and a life saving’s preventing foods from over cooking.
Last. Another method option. After the oven preheats, wait for another 10 or 15 minutes and then place your food inside. At times, I do this method. Similar for the foil method. Once the oven is heated for a period of time the temperature won’t take long to go come back after placing your item inside. This method is good if you’re not in a rush.
I hope a long answers for a simple question did help🤗. Any additional information I will do my best getting back.

Hello sir, just found your video and I am glad I did this is sure a very helpful video to help me make up my mind. Could you tell me the inside measurement from the bottom rake to the top inside please? I will be buying my wife this for crafting so it isn't going to be used for cooking. thank you so much
This oven is awesome for crafting👍. Many crafters use the oven for print on mugs. Note, If your wife will do any type die inks this oven can't be used for food thereafter. If clay based, not sure if she can used oven for food too, she would need to research. That said, here is the size:
12.91" H / 21.65" W / 19.29" D

I just got this air fry oven. It makes me nervous. Thank You.
Mary, Please see my response in your previous comments. Thank you.
If you are afraid of the doors shutting, PULL OUT THE CRUMB TRAY a few inches.
Thanks for that info👍👍👍. Great idea!
My doors are stuck open and won't close! Any suggestions?
Oh no. Sorry for a damage unit. I can’t actually advise what may be causing the doors not to close but it seems as if the hinge mechanism may be damaged. This is a rear situation. So, if your unit is still in the returned policy I highly recommend to replace it (Exchange). If not, and your unit is in the warranty timeframe contact Oster support: 1-800-334-0759 (Option 1 then 0. Option 1 is for parts. At the end of message you will be guided to option 0 for a live person) I verified the number. Let them know Option 5 is not working, after 2 to 4 minutes on hold it goes directly to a survey question and ends call (On the first call selection I tried option 5 “support” several times). Explain your situation and hopefully they can redirect you to a appropriate representative for support.
As much as I wanted to solve your problem sorry couldn’t be any more help. I hope your issues do get resolved.
@@LouRao Thanks for your help!
can this be used like a microwave as well? for example: for heating up water for tea or milk for hot chocolate?
Hey, sorry, but no. This countertop is not a microwave and cannot perform the same way. Although, if you’re in the market for a countertop oven that can microwave too, the Combi Wave 3 in 1 by Breville is the answer. Breville is pricey but you’re getting a combi countertop oven. Below is the link:

Thank you for your valuable time watching my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe! -Lou
The problem is going to be the container u r going to use to hold it.
I have a question I just bought this and I'm kinda regretting it lol cause I mainly got it for a whole 11lbs turkey and since the timer says 60 minutes 😅 and it usually takes 3hrs to cook a turkey will it even cook on air fry!? I'm so freaking out lol 😆 🙃 if you've made one please help I need advice 😭 🙏🏻 😩
No! No! No! Please don’t freak out! It’s all going to work out so you can make that delicious bird you’re planning on to cook this Thanksgiving 🦃. Yeah, perfecting timing, I was viewing some TH-cam Contents and noticed you’re in need of help😧. Hopefully I can be of service so you may not return the Oster countertop oven.
All you need to do is set the timer to the “STAY ON” position. (Note) I took a screenshot of oven dial and it will not post. Sorry😢 .
Turned the dial all the way to the right so that the line marked on the dial is lined up to “STAY ON.” Stay On label (white text) on the panel has a arrow pointing to this selection. As soon as the dial is selected “Stay On” position, your awesome 🤩 new Oster countertop oven will stay on until you decide to turn it off. Do a test. Before cooking the bird or anything else, turn on the oven and select the “STAY ON” position. Allow the oven to run for a few hours. Once satisfied with the stay on selection, you can start cooking the bird.
Yes, always on or stay on will work with bake or convection settings. I hope I came to your rescue on time👏.
FYI, Any day I’m hoping to upload a new turkey recipe that is going to be easy and cook no more then an hour and a half, maybe less for a 11lb bird. This turkey🦃 recipe will be more juicy and cooking in a quicker time than traditional methods. You may want to wait for my new recipe before cooking your bird. Yes, the new recipe is for countertop ovens (13lb or less) and standard ovens too. If you already subscribed and clicked the bell, a notification will alert you as soon as the new turkey recipe has been posted.
Please don’t hesitate to ask for any additional questions. I will do my best getting back. Yeah, now that you and I not freaking out and time to relax 🤗 for this holiday session, please let me know how your bird turned out.
Have an awesome day! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Stay safe my friend 🤓
@@LouRao thank you!haha helped alot 😄
@@LouRao I bought this exact model from Best Buy this week we’re a full time RV family so
I NEEDED an actual oven however mine doesn’t have the “stay on” function yours has?
@@summerpuffenbarger9339 In Walmart today and noticed a Oster French Door Convention Oven without the labeled “Stay On.” Never thought about looking into further and kept on shopping. I should had looked into why the label wasn’t on the unit.
Although, I do believe some of the Oster’s French Door Oven models may be slightly different depending who are the resellers Oster makes it for. If I’m not mistaken, timer dial turned all the way to the right (counter clockwise) should keep the oven on for any length of time, regardless “Stay On” labeled or not. I could be wrong. But, I do believe all Oster French Door models have a stay on setting. If you can, please provide me the model number shown on the factory box and I will do my best to look into this.
Thank you for the comments and taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome evening and stay safe.🤓
My mom asked if she has to keep rewinding the 60 minute dial to cook her turkey since it does not have the stay on option .
Also what does the turbo part even mean??? 🤔
Good morning. Awesome question! Depending on Mom’s Oster model, her countertop oven may have the digital control panel. If so, her oven is limited to 60 or 90 minutes of cooking time. Check to see if the model is TSSTTVFDDG. If so, it should be 90 minutes for cooking time. Otherwise, you can supply the model number here. If you don’t know the model number you can send a photo to: create@insidemywindow.com. I will do my best to confirmed timing limitation for the Oster oven your Mom has.
Yes, if the Oster oven is limited to only 60 minutes of cooking time, she can reset the timer oven and over. Resetting the timer will not effect or hurt the oven whatsoever 🤗.
Also, most Oster’s countertop ovens with a digital control panel have a setting called “Turbo -older models.” The turbo setting is nothing more than convention fan or fans turned on. If your Mom’s Oster has this setting, the Oster is a countertop convection oven. Similar to an air fryer, a conventional oven will circulate heat evenly throughout the cavity. Turbo means your food will cook somewhat faster and evenly like an air fryer. Convention is not so much as in important for cooking time, but more important for cooking foods evenly with less fatty oils.
Note: If you purchased the Oster oven recently doesn’t mean it’s a newer model. Many older models with a digital control panel are still sold at many small or large retailers. Yes, you may have purchased recently but it still may be an older model that is limited for cooking time.
Again Diane, if you need additional info for your Mom’s oven please don’t hesitate to send info or photo. Allow some time for me to get back. Also, I have a new turkey recipe soon to be posted. Turkey recipe is easy, tender, and less time than traditional cooking methods. Plus, your Mom’s turkey 🦃 that will be cooked in the Oster oven she will only need to reset the timer once using my new recipe. Hit the bell for notification. Once the recipe is posted you will be notified.
Thank you for taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe 🤓
Hello! Great video :) thank you!!
I was wondering if you knew about anything that’s similar to this but the outside surfaces don’t heat up?? I’m not sure if that exists but thought maybe you may know if so?
Awesome question 🤗. I wish I could provide a better alternative for what you’re looking for but no. Most countertop ovens (I’m aware) outer surfaces will get hot due to minimum interior installation. Only countertops I tested or reviewed “ Delongerhi Livenza Convecttion Oven Model EO241250M,” had the least amount of outer surface heat. th-cam.com/video/aIVg7bwr65A/w-d-xo.html Sorry I couldn’t be much help for what you’re looking for. If and when I do come across with this type of units I will share the info.

these small ovens can get u out of a jam when your $500 big oven breaks down and you can not afford to buy one, the oven function broken down on my big oven and have only been using the top burners along with a small oven like this
Thank you for your comments. I absolutely agree! Countertop ovens are so practical in many ways. They come in handy during the holidays too. Thank you for taking your valuable time out watching my video. May you and yours have an awesome week -stay safe😎
Looks like a great oven and very well detailed review you did.
I am a little concerned you could (with the French Doors) burn your arm if you brush your arm against a door when removing the food. Any issues with the doors and burns or close calls? Thanks. Well done...
Philip
Philip, AWESOME question 👍. If not careful there is a possibility for burns. On the other hand, this will be true using any countertop ovens with a non French doors -not as often but it does happen. So you may be aware the French doors do open with a wider clearance to help avoiding burns. Any close calls? Rare, but there were times I did come to close to calls. Yeah, your concerns are absolutely legit but I wouldn’t hold back to give the oven a chance. If for any reason you do feel unsafe using the Oster French Door, don’t hesitate to return it. At least you gave the oven a chance. I hope to answer your questions.
Thank you for the comments and for taking you valuable out to watch my video. May you & yours have a blessed New Years. Stay safe! 😎
@@LouRao Thanks Lou for the information. It is very helpful. Is there any way to lock the doors in place when in the open position? Thanks again.
Phil
@@uptownphotography Your very welcome Phil. Hmmm -not😩. A lock function feature to prevent the doors from closing (Accidentally) when open is an awesome idea and something Oster should consider to implement. The more I think about it the better it sounds. A wonderful idea! Phil, I can see how serious your concerns are and you don’t want to take a risk from unnecessary burns to be avoided all together.I totally get it! However, there hasn’t been much cases of burns incidence with this model or non French doors countertop ovens with glass doors. Burns happen? Absolutely. But percentage are low.
That said, here are two options to consider. QVC video for the French Doors is an older video but does provide the cast member demonstrating the unit. Watch the video and see how he handles inserting and removing food from the oven. The video may help seeing a live demo (older video) how easy getting food in and out of the oven without getting burn by the glass doors.

Or, Consider getting the Oster digital extra large oven where the glass door swings down👍. The digital xtra large oven almost has the same functions as does the French door model. For years I had the digital model without any hiccups. Is the digital model perfect? Absolutely not. True for the French door model. Both models pros outweigh the cons. The link below for the digital model is Target. I picked Target because of their 90 days return policy using their Redcard (Free). And using Targets Redcard you get a 5% saving on all merchandise. Target’s Redcard is not a credit card, rather it is a card linking to your bank account and debit’s from your funds. Again, 5% savings plus rewards using the Target Redcard. Without Target Redcard, I think the return policy is 60 days on small appliances. Yeah, I’m pushing Target because it’s easy to shop online, no hassles, or question ask when returning a product. Purchased online and easy returns at any of Target’s locations within the return policy timeframe. And if you’re not happy with the results from either ovens, simply return it. If happy with product, 5% savings using the Redcard.

If you’re still unsure and may be thinking for alternative, watch this review I did a while back: KitchenAid Dual Convection Oven👍. th-cam.com/video/jP4eJ_G7vF0/w-d-xo.html
I still have the KitchenAid oven and till this day no problems. It has two convection fans in the back cavity wall. Yes, smaller than the Oster Extra Large Oven, but just as good for cooking, baking, and proofing dough breads! And the cavity is easy to clean. Also, tons of present functions. Something to thing about.
Or, if not limited to funds and what the best of the best countertop convection steam oven, may I recommend Anova Precision Oven👍. I have the Anova oven and can’t be any more pleased comparing to other countertop convection ovens. Anova oven is my main drive for most cooking or baking. Anova oven out performs any other brands due to its temperature accuracy. Yes, temperature is spot on. Not even a standard stovetop oven can match the temperature accuracy’s of the Anova oven performs at (except for Wolf or Viking). Set the Anova to 350 and it is dead on. The additional plus is for the steam function. The Anova is by far no comparison to other steam ovens. The steam is not steam but humidity control inside the cavity. Anova oven is the only oven with humidity functions. Also, this oven has the ability to Sous Vide -amazing. And all of the cooking functions using the Anova can be accomplished with their app (Optional). Plus the Anova has a two year warranty! The Anova Precision Oven is truly a remarkable small appliance. I didn’t do a review only for the cost reasons. The price is somewhat high for most folks to consider buying. But, there are TH-cam Content Creators who posted their reviews for this oven.

FYI: I don’t get paid or have any affiliation with either of the retailers. It’s my way to provide the best info and help folks make an easy decision. For the reviews, ignore them. Most reviews are fake and paid -in my opinion. Many of the same reviews have been sold & bought to display on other retailers websites. The real test is you. Only you can determine how good the product is. There was a time when we could trust reviews, those days are gone.
Side note: If or when you do make a decision and buy either one of the Oster models (Any Conventional Oven), don’t be disappointed with the convections function. Folks sometimes have a misunderstanding that the convection function is supposed to be the same as an air fryer, it’s not. Although “ALL” countertop convection ovens will cook faster vs non convection, but not as quick as an air fryer. A convection oven is more about distributing heat evenly inside the ovens cavity, not as much for cooking faster. Fan or fans help to circulate the heat throughout the ovens cavity by producing a better cooking results then standard cooking / baking. The only reason an Air Fryer will cook faster is due to its small or sometimes tiny cavity. Because an air fryer is small, there is no room for the heat to go, so the temperature will reach at its set point quickly and producing meals in no time, if basket is not overloaded. Whereby, an air fryer shouldn’t be compared to a countertop convection oven or vice versa.
I know the reply was a bit long, but was hoping to provide a clearer understanding for your decision making. Please don’t hesitate for any additional help or what you ended up buying. I will do my best getting back.

@@LouRao Thanks Lou and wow you are generous to spend time with all those details...(Which I appreciate that).
I am very familiar with convection ovens as my mom had a Farberware one for years, but after about 20+ years it stopped working. Great oven and very temped to take it apart and fix it, (still have it here) which I did repair it once before with a loose wire to the heating rods and then it worked again until about a year ago.
I am going to check the models you listed. I truly appreciate all your efforts. You totally rock. You're the kind of guy that would be fun to share a beer with! be well Lou.

As for the beer, Corona all the way 👍👌! Oops, don’t forget the limes! And I absolutely think we would have a blast, I too from Brooklyn New York 🗽. I don’t fell alone anymore, so many New Yorkers are moving to south FL -loblol. Thanks for the wonderful comments. You too my friend stay well and be safe!!!😎
Instructions did say don't use foil in your oven great video tho I enjoyed it..
Thank you for the info. Why instructions say no foil? Because the foil has the tendency to left away from the food caused by air circulation from the fan. If the foil hits the top heating elements then it may cause damage to the unit. But, if the foil is attached probably to the baking tray or oven safe utensils layed on top of the foil, there is no need to worry about hurting the oven. Again, thanks for providing this important information👍.
Thank you for taking your valuable out watching my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe my friend😎
I couldnt completely tell but would you say the finish is brushed steel or more of a flat finish or gloss
Great question Tyler! I would say more of a flat finish. I no longer have this countertop, but that is what I remembered.
How long should I pre heat the oven before making my tri tip or ribs
Great question! Do you have a oven temperature gauge? If so, I would use it to help you see the temperature reach to the degree needed for those awesome ribs you’re about to cook. No oven temperature gauge, no problem. Normally, this oven does take a little longer to preheat. I would say between 15 or 25 minutes to get it to that temperature desire. Like all countertop ovens, try to limit opening the oven door to prevent all of the heat being released at once. Last, I very big on using a meat thermometers. You will never go wrong using a meat thermometer, chicken, meat, pork, or fish will come out to that perfect temperature. If you don’t have a meat thermometer, get one that is made to go inside the oven. Believe it or not, even the best chief’s use a meat thermometer, it will be your best friend. I hope this helps. If not or need more assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your valuable time watching my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe! -Lou
@@LouRao Thanks Buddy, I appreciate you getting back to me on this. I will get a meat thermometer As soon as I can
Don't you care about what someone else say about you they don't know you they don't know your personality it doesn't matter what someone else say because as long as God keeps blessing you then it doesn't even matter, God keeps blessing you because you are doing something right, LOVE is the most powerful energy in the world don't ever come down from that because no matter who want you to lose always remember God and everyone in heaven want you to win and the number up there you cannot count.
Wow😍! Your comments is not only an eye waking , but it puts life into perspective. You’re absolutely correct,

@@LouRao You welcome my brother, and many blessings to you and your family
It take store bought 16" pizzas
Try adding oregano to that rub great video and sazon Goya to add for the skin
I just bought one to replace one I had for about 5 yrs. There is about a 1/8 in gap between the doors. I am disappointed because I really like the French doors, but took forever to bake my pizza, and it didn't raise the way it usually does.
Oh no. Sorry to hear the defective gab on the French doors. Yes, any large gab between the doors will cause heat to be release and off setting the temperature within the oven. I would give this countertop oven another chance by exchanging it. If the second oven stills has a gab I recommended to look for another model or brand. But, if the second oven is not defective you will have a better experience with baking a new pizza. Keep us posted whatever decision you decide on.
Thanks for taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe!
I just purchased this model and my oven will only stay on for 60 seconds. Can you help?
Great Question 👍. On the Timer Dial you will see the label “Stay On.” This setting allows the oven to stay on until it is manually turned off. To use the “stay on function,” turn the “Timer Dial” to the left as far it will go. That is it, nothing else needs to be done. To turn off the oven from the the “Stay On” selection, turn the dial to the right away from “Stay On” to the tiny circle or first dot and the oven will turned off. Any additional info don’t hesitate to ask. I will do my best getting back.
Thank you for taking your valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome week and stay safe 😎
Thank you for your help
Can you use this without the timer
Awesome question! Absolutely. You can set timer from automatic count down to stay on by turning dial to the left.
Just an fyi never put tin foil on the bottom of any oven.
What is your reasoning not to placed foil bottom of oven? Thank you for your comment.
It looks like there is a small space between the doors. I would think you would lose heat.
Nathan, somewhat you’re correct. For most countertop or standard ovens temperatures is never accurate, with the exception for Anova Precision Countertop, Wolf, Bosch, or Viking. That said, Oster French Door Convection Countertop Oven is awesome at the suggested retail price $140 🤩. Yes, with a very small amount of heat released between the gap of the French doors, this oven still maintains enough heat inside the cavity to cook or bake most foods compared to other low price point brands. Is the Oster French Door perfect? Absolutely not. Putting aside some faults as for the gap between the doors, it is pretty damn good for a budget countertop convention oven. In general, that tiny amount of heat released from the oven cavity didn’t make a difference from all the tests I performed using this oven. After the video, I continued to use the oven and then gave it away. Friends who are now the proud owners have no issues.
Side Note: There is always going to pros and cons with this unit. What I found in reviews, either you love it or hate this oven. Little in between. For me, I loved it.
Thank you for the comments and taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an AWESOME day and be safe my friend. 🤓
Have you tried air frying a whole chicken?
Mary, answered both comments here. Congratulations on your new Oster oven👍. Oh no, the oven should not be intimidating to use, it is a user friendly countertop oven. And I do think you shall overcome these obstacles. I know, I know, making a change or adding something new can be frightening at first, but I ensure you, this oven will be a breeze to use. Read the manual and watch TH-cam videos. You will be ok -for sure 😊.
This countertop oven is a convection oven that works similar to an air fryer. What separates the two, countertop convection has a bigger cavity and a standard air fryer is much smaller. Most cases, a countertop convection oven may not cook as fast say to a Ninja air fryer, but they both work similar in that hot air flows inside the cavity by a built-in fan. Hot air flowing around the cavity is what helps to cook your foods evenly -inside and out.
Yeah, cooking a whole bird in this oven is no problem in convection settings. Also, non convection too. Starting at 17:35 in this video, I demonstrated by preparing a whole chicken. A reminder to try to keep the oven doors closed at all times. Opening the oven doors will release all the heat and takes time for the oven to build it back up. I highly recommend getting a oven temperature gage. Not just for this countertop oven, but any type of ovens you may own. A oven temperature gage is a life safer! A oven temperature gage will help for preventing poultry, meats, or fish from being under or over cooked. Additionally, using a oven temperature gage will help to keep the oven doors closed when in use -not slowing down the cooking time.
Please note; adding any type of oils or some form of fats to the bird and anything else in your cooking methods, in due time, the inside oven isn’t going to look pretty 😩. Over time, most countertop ovens never stays clean inside the cavity.
Mary, you’re going to do just fine 👌. And you’re going to love not just for cooking the bird, but for all your cooking / baking needs. The Oster oven is going to save you from heating up the home comparison to a standard oven. Plus, during the upcoming holidays, you’ll have an extra oven to quickly get your meals out for family & guests -how exciting is that 🤓!
Please don’t hesitate to let me know how your new Oster countertop oven is working out. Yes, please share the pros and cons so our viewers may see if this oven is good for them. I don’t believe in ads.Ture to life experiences is the real deal what makes a product good or not. And Mary, don’t hesitate to contact me if you need additional help. I will do my best getting back.
Thank you for taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome weekend! Stay safe 👍 .
Hello sir how to setup broil
Great question! 👍. There are three dials for this countertop oven. The first dial is the oven temperature control. The second dial is the oven function. The last dial is the oven timer. Go to the first dial and select the temperature for broiling. Go to the second dial and turn it to by selecting broil. Go to the last dial and either select the time desire or always on. During broil, keep the doors closed. Only open the oven doors to turn the food or removing the food from the oven. I hope this helps. Thank you for taking your valuable time watching my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe! -Lou
This is my first time seeing you. I am an INTP's INTP. . Meaning I have a heart like a cannon. It's mostly inert. You can do almost anything to it and you won't get a response. But under the right conditions, it opens up, finds its target, and opens fire. I love you and your spirit. There, I said it. Oh, and I have the same oven. Wouldn't trade it as far as small, tinny, appliances go. I appreciate the fact that it continues to work and produce edible food. The underdog sometimes wins.
Your comments means everything and I do appreciate it 😎! I hear you and understand INTP. That said, thank you for taking your valuable time out to watch my video and sharing your personal thoughts too. Have an awesome day and stay safe!
PS: Love your TH-cam channel. Awesome talent- meant it! I subscribed.
I love you too
Sorry to say folks, but I have had four (4) of these from the manufacturer and all of them are junk. They never, ever reach max temp as advertised. I only got up to 210F. Top element is so weak I could touch it, while the bottom one glows red. That's right.......all four were utter failures! 😡😡
Sorry to hear what you been through with four defected units. Although I can’t comment on your personal experiences, I would say not all countertops or even standard ovens reaches the temperature as claimed by the manufacture’s. Very few high end conventional or standard ovens may have dead on heating points, but most standard household ovens do not. For the countertop convention ovens or not are even worse. Fact, convection or standard countertop ovens will have uneven heat distribution which are known for cold spots. Most will never reach the high temperature it is claimed from the manufacturer. They could but the cost would be way too much for most consumers. Also, I have Anova steam oven and this too makes the mark.
A little side note: Besides countertop ovens lacking the degree of heat it will also dropped down even more when items are placed inside. Let’s say a small 4lb bird is set to cook at 375F and you placed that in the countertop preheated oven, it will take the oven temperature down by 20+ degrees or more depending on the brand and model of that countertop oven. This is true for stand ovens too.
So, I do believe you had a bad experiences with four ovens and really sorry to hear that. I never want to hear or see anyone having this type of a bad experiences. But, It happens! I been there with other small appliances. So, I get it. On the other hand, there are more consumers enjoying this oven and have very little issues and if none. For this countertop oven it is sadly to say made in china. But, what isn’t? Not making excuses from it’s origin and how it was assemble, but quality control for most things made today is not up to par -including items made here in the USA. And we’re are now seeing an increase of poor quality products like never before. It’s a different world we’re living in -sadly.
Again, sorry for all you been through. Otherwise, thank you for sharing your personal experiences even if it wasn’t good. Folks need to know everyone’s experiences, good or not so good. And thank you for your valuable time watching my video. I wish you the best with a different replacement. May you and yours have an awesome blessed up coming holidays and be safe😎
Your convection oven will not work right if you use Aluminum foil on the bottom tray look it up
Best for me is aluminum cook tray on top rack. Good air flow. Not foil the whole rack- just a tip. Remember there is a big removable drip tray covering the bottom of the oven. Great oven!
All that measuring and you never measured the height. I really needed the height as well.
I am so sorry 😞 for not providing the height. So, the Oster French Door countertop oven height is 12.91 inches. Again, accept my apologies.
maybe I missed, but, does this have a light inside?
Great question👍. I know longer have the oven but do believe it has the light when dial is turned for cooking. Again, if not mistaking the answer is yes. I can say for certain the none dial Oster French Door Oven with Convection has the light, but only comes on when cooking/baking.
