Great reviews. Love the child seat tests. That is one of the biggest concerns for people with kids when shopping for cars. Maybe try to throw a full size stroller in the back too. When my wife and I were car shopping, our two biggest questions were, "how will the car seats fit?" and "how will our strollers fit in the back?" Again, great car reviews. Keep up the good work!
After going through the well known channels which tell you nothing besides what's on the honda website, i started checking out lesser known channels and that's where I found actual useful info.
That is a surprisingly bulky car seat. I have a rear facing seat (chico keyfit30) and can sit in front of it at 5'10" fine. I think a key difference is the car seat in this video has a very high back. Our rear facing seat is much lower, and the front seat naturally is a little reclined so by the top being lower you can move the front seat further back without touching the car seat. I have a video showing this.
Question: 4 year old twins in booster seats in the outer positions, very tall skinny 8 year old on a small two inch high riser in the middle. Would these fit in an earlier model of the Fit?
You are very tall. Do you think a rear facing child seat would fit in the middle if the front seat is positioned for someone who is 5'0" to drive? How much more clearance did it need before it would have fit? If the car seat is installed behind the passenger, will my 5'9" husband fit into that front seat?
It might fit. The best thing to do is to take your child seat with you to the dealer and install the seat, adjust the seats for you and see how it works for you and your family. Any dealer that doesn't want to accommodate you this way should be avoided.
Hi Alex - As a parent of two small children, I'm very interested in knowing how much seat space remains between two child seats when placed in the outer left and right of the rear bench seat. It's not often, but when I do need to squeeze in a fifth passenger its critical to know if they could actually fit between them. Please add this to future videos. I'm very interested in knowing whether the Versa Note or the Fit could accommodate a 2+2+1 configuration. Thanks.
Neither would be very good at that. In general I find it a little easier to do a outboard and center combo but I can see that this would be a little less convenient. In general a 2+2+1 configuration would only work well in a midsize or larger vehicle.
shelly1019 My car seats work fine in my 2015 Honda Fit. They don't wiggle at all. Are you sure you tightened them enough? I like the car seats that have auto-tightening, it makes it much easier to get a secure fit.
***** My car seat supports SureLatch which auto tightens when I put my body weight on the car seat. Are you trying to install a child seat in the middle seat? The owners manual mentions that LATCH connectors can only be used in the outer seats.
+Robert Vorthman sorry about that. I was replying to Shelly saying hers would fall over. I have no idea how that could happen if it is installed correctly. we are installer nazies and pull, tug, push on it ourselves to make sure they won't move. our new child seat came with an automatic one and omgosh game changer.
Those Graco Classic 50 car seats look super ancient, like 2001 or earlier ancient. Why would you use ancient models for a new car? It's more logical to use recent models instead, plus those car seats were probably expired, they lacked side-impact air protection and didn't have EPS foam. Boring. He should've gone with Britax, he is British, and Britax is a British brand.....dude way to go not marketing for your local brand. Boo.
The Classic Ride 50 seats are a current model www.gracobaby.com/products/pages/classic-ride-50-convertible-car-seat-boyton.aspx and they were purchased less then a year ago. The reason for using that seat is that it is the second most popular child seat sold on Amazon.com at the time. The second most important reason for that selection is that the Classic Ride 50 is very middle of the road in dimensions. So there are plenty of larger and smaller seats available but I deliberately wanted something in the middle of the spectrum.

Thank you!! You answered my question!

Alex on Autos
I wish I could do that, but my kids are purely hypothetical at this point!
Skittl1321
As are mine! I believe that would work providing you use one of the smaller convertible seats and you like to sit in an upright position.
Awaiting for your thoughts on upcoming Honda HRV....
Hi I was just wondering if you can fit 2 high back boosters and a forward facing car seat in the back thanks and I love your reviews😊
BunnieBird Yes, as long as you chose narrow models
Alex on Autos thank you so much 😆 take care
Wow this helped a lot!! Thank you!

lol finally a commercial worth wcthing on what is the crap known as you tube. i will sub for sure
That tape wind sound effect was *much* too loud, relative to your voice.
The car seats literally fall if you turn. Don't get this car if you have a baby

how!? you should have your installing checked out. that is impossible if installed right.
