Putting three across car seats is often a game of trial and error. While you can start by trying your preferred configuration, I am going to warn you right now to set your expectations really low. Often the safest fit does not mean the most logistically convenient when it comes to 3 across car seats.
My best advice is to start with a rear-facing car seat in the middle seating position and work your way out. This means finding the best infant seat or the best convertible seat, which is a narrow car seat. Using the vehicle seatbelt to install the car seats versus the lower anchor connectors often gives you a smidge of extra space, too. Then, just rotate them around until you pass!
