- Hello comrades! I'm continuing my journey of spreading glory to Ainz Ooal Gown by educating the masses! The second season was such an explosion in terms of world-building, that w had to sacrifice Bone Daddy's screen time! Well, not to worry, we got plenty of other things on the table - lizard people, Sebas arc and of course Plate Daddy's triumph. All of that generously seasoned with exciting and interesting stuff to watch out for, so here are 5 things that you missed in Season 2 of Overlord.

Demiurge seems extremely evil and suspicious, but he is basically obsessed with Ainz and literally eats up every word and order that Ainz gives without any question.
Yeah, if Ains were to go out and tell him "We can't harm humans anymore unless they attack us first! This is an order!" He wouldn't even hesitate.
He would 100% believe that Ains had a million and 10 reasons for why they had to stop hurting the humans and would simply follow orders.
He might bend the rules a bit...like say...release all of the people in his "happy farm" but replace them with bandits that just happened to make plans to attack one of Ains' allies since he was still allowed to harm the humans that attacked "them" first but he would undoubtedly follow his orders believing that Ains simply have some master plan.
He is suppose to be the ultimate evil master mind thats why he was a built based on his creator love for villains and stuff
Exactly! Ironically he's even more trustworthy than Guardian Overseer Albedo who is literally infatuated with Ainz

I didn't realize the golden princess reviled the prisoners to the maid to get them killed. I thought her intent was to rub claims achievements in her face. But it makes so much more sense for her to reveal the slaves

Telling Demiurge that nobody is to be allowed to harm the humans could be a terrifying order and lead to the creation of a "Safety City" for said humans. In wich being harmed is unlikely if not impossible.

He'd probably have all humans in separate rooms not allowed to leave and is only to be fed and kept healthy
Out of all the NPCs except Pandora's actor, he is likely the most loyal to Ainz because he admires his much to the point that he thinks Ainz is a supreme above all the other supreme beings because he simply cannot fathom his infinite wisdom despite being the smartest NPC in Nazarick. Sure he is evil af but he will never question Ainz and I'm glad that hes getting the credit he deserves.

Actually good point, but you got to pick your fights!
Obviously Ainz/Momonga/Satoru is a smart guy, he has always been. He managed to lead the most influential guild for years without anyone being able to even reach them to initiate a fight. He memorised, as a human, all 700+ of his spells and any other spells that he had the chance of learning, including skills, equipment, monsters, and any and all battle stategies that he and his guild came up with. If anything his "Int-stat" already represented him back when he was a player.
Also, I am constantly hearing this, but where the hell is it said that there even was an Int or Luck stat in Yggdrasil? We don't get anything like that on the character sheets.
It's probably a Hidden Stat that some novels and games use.
I'm guilty of not having solid proof. From what I understand, some skills, job classes and such, imply certain stats. I don't believe you have such an elaborate RPG system, without basic stats in one way or another.
@@mahistv Maybe having such stats would limit the creativity of the players too much, as far as it's said anyone can get any class-combination they want, even just 1 level in 100 completely different classes should have been possible...

In most of the mmorpg’s that I’ve played, increasing your intelligence stat will not only increase magic damage but also total mp. I’m going to assume that for Overlord’s game system that the character sheets are just indicative of their stats as a character and that the actual system where stat points are allocated would have main stats like strength dexterity intelligence and luck that pass bonuses to secondary stats like melee damage, hp, mp, crit rate etc;

The way "Ainz" threw the handkerchief to Sebas is the one that give me its Pandora's actor. The act is too "King" and so outside of Momonga character (Love his subordinate creation)

Part of the reason why Demiurge looks up to Ainz so much is because their backstories and character builds line up so much:
Demiurge is supposed to be a summoner of demons and a great military strategist, with his main combat strength coming from buffing large armies and his "form of the devil" transformations merely serving as a last-resort CQC buff.
Meanwhile, even though Ainz doesn't have much experience with military strategy specifically, he's an undead lich with over-max intelligence who can potentially summon hordes upon hordes of undead, and he single-handedly both managed the guild while the other 41 members were active and grinded resources to solo-sustain the guild when everyone else had moved on.
If you compared Demiurge to almost anyone else in the New World, he'd be a terrifying monster with seemingly endless hordes of demons at his beck and call as well as a sharp mind able to stay 10 steps ahead of his duller opponents.
However, if you compare him to Ainz, there are many areas where Demiurge falls behind Ainz, particularly in the sheer number of spells Ainz knows and Demiurge's relatively-small mana pool. Add in the countless times where Ainz has surprised Demiurge with unexpected moves that left Nazerick in a better position than Demiurge could ever dream of, the overwhelming might Ainz wields against Nazerick's enemies, as well as the endless compassion Ainz continues to show for all of the denizens/allies of Nazerick, and it's easy to see why Nazerick's red-suited "bipedal sheep farmer" would never dream of betraying his beloved master.

@@mahistv i think you can argue Pandora's actor is a bigger fan, since he's the closest thing he has to a child, and doesn't see him as a god so he can be more chill with him.
I'd say that Demiurge and Pandora's Actor are both near-equal in their respect for Ainz, but Pandora's Actor can see through Ainz' facade better, in part because of Pandora's Actor's backstory as a "mimic with a penchant for acting", and in part because of the New World giving NPCs some character traits based on the personalities of their creators.
Where almost everyone else in Nazerick and the New World just sees the near-omniscient Master Of Death, Pandora's Actor can see through to the Japanese salaryman underneath who's desperately struggling to maintain the facade while hoping to find some sign of his friends in the New World.
Don't get me wrong, P.A. still has immense respect and admiration for his creator, and his slightly-good karma means that he genuinely wants to help the lich who P.A. views as the closest thing to his father/creator, but part of the reason why P.A. always seems to accomplish Ainz' missions so perfectly (such as the things Ainz ordered him to do in the background of Season 4) may be because he has a unique ability to understand WHY Ainz is assigning this mission and EXACTLY WHAT he's hoping to get out of it.

Current light nover spoilers
Current events in novel make me believe Albedo will betray Ainz. Every time he does something stupid they believe it's just a genius move. But right before the elf arc it's the first time we see any of them actually doubt him. On top of that she is also planning something in secret that no one knows anything about (and from what I recall we also don't know what it is). And on multiple occasion she is shown to be worried that Ainz or Demiurge (who are know to the the smartest in Nazarik along side her) might have figured out what she is doing.
The series is coming to an end in the next 2 volumes and I see it ending in 1 of 2 ways:
1. Ainz just kills the Dragon and the theocracy and rules over the world.
2. Albedo's plan directly or indirectly affects the final arc and ruins everything.
It could be a reasonable outcome because she is the only character that is different from the rest. Ainz changed her settings right before they were sent and this stupid small change from the start might have actually caused a chain reaction that lead to his own downfall in the end.
We shall see, I honestly would be disappointed if Albedo will do something that will hinder Ainz-sama's well-being
What volume are you refering to? Right before the elf art = end of vol 14?
I sense Butterfly Effect, from a simple change of her Codes resulting to a Failure in his biggest (not really his) goal.
Albedo's plan is to help ainz be the only ruler and don't allow other Supreme beings show up even if they wanted(which they won't come thanks to author already confirming it) , she won't betray ainz.
I don't see that happening.
Albedo's plan is pretty clearly to "remove" the things that are hurting Ains and could be used as a weakness...aka...his comrades.
We have seen time and time again that Ains miss the other previous players. The only reason he wanted to spread his name was because he wanted to potentially find his previous comrades.
The thing Albedo fears the most is that someone like "touch me" came back. Because the NPCs would be most loyal to the people that created them even if Ains is the leader.
This means, that if "Touch me" were to return all of his creations would follow him blindly weakening Ains. Ains only created one NPC in all of Nazarick so he would be complete toast if the NPCs were to betray him.
That is why the only other NPC that Albedo actually trust is Pandora's actor since he would be the only one that would never betray Ains...
She wasn't created by Ains but since he messed with her settings she loves him (And I guess kinda became partly his creation in a way) so she believes she is the only one that wouldn't betray Ains even if her own creatore were to show up.
Ive rewatched the 3 seasons before s4 was released atleast 30 times and i missed this stuff every single time i feel shame

season 2 is such a good season. we really see ainz working behind the scenes.
I don't know why people so obsessed on thinking Ainz would be betrayed by his NPCs. It is mentioned by the author the reason why he made the side characters an NPC is because he wants a reason for the side characters to be so loyal to the MC.
Some people just can't fathom the concept of loyalty, especially on that scale like with NPCs
except albedo though, due to her changed settings she is unstable
Probably the same reason ainz is worried, they may not be slaves to their settings anymore. We see that they question him, something they wouldn't even be able to do in game.
@@isdrakon9802 this is true, however bear in mind that Ainz may not be cognizant of them having memories from when they were merely NPCs as opposed to “living beings”. It’s discussed that shalltear remembers a conversation between two of the supreme beings about another well before they gained sentience.
Their back stories built the foundation for the characters however their growth and development includes the fact that Ainz was the supreme being that spent the most time with them within recent shit years maybe. If I recall Ainz mentions that he spent a lot of time on his own grinding to maintain the Great Tomb.
All the NPCs are programmed to be loyal to their creators and the tomb, and nobody revered either more than Momonga. He isn’t just a supreme being to them, he is the one who stood at the top and the one that takes the most care and consideration for both their creators but that which they had built to include the guardians. He is the embodiment of their ideals.
In short it’s not very likely any of them would betray him, except maybe albedo because he tinkered with her settings. However even though he made the change she still seems to have the quality that he replaced.
Though its an anime that has alot of dark storyline, it is still within the "misunderstanding troupe" where Mcs of this troupe are extremely lucky.
He is lucky, but also smart enough to capitalize on it
Demi is a best boy for sure. How much he loves Ainz is really cute, not kinda creepy like Albedo. He would never do anything to go against Bone Daddy, even if he found out he was actually smarter than Ainz, I don't see anything going badly in their relationship.

Ainz's "luck" is plot bro, if you call this a stat then every single anime mc has incredible luck then and also demierge was always the least likely to betray ainz, i would quicker believe the elf twins would betray him, demierge is by far the most loyal and tbh would even decapitate ainz in order to protect him for his own good as we saw that he was willing to forcibly bring back ainz for his safety when he went to fight the vampire alone

I feel like the N.P.C's are extremely loyal to Momonga compared to almost every other supreme being, but their individual creators are literally like their parents, leading to them having some biased love and loyalty for the other guildmates above Ainz. He stayed by their side and treated them all with love and respect for years even when he had no reason to, even when their own creators abandoned them all. They all appreciate how he truly tries to help them all improve and live up to their expectations, despite them thinking he got it all figured out. If pushed came to shove, in my opinion, Momonga is second to the people that specifically made them and they would all likely hesitant to do anything harmful to him even if being command by their said creators to do so, especially after each of them evolving and going through so much with each other.

That wasn't Pandoras Actor it was Ainz. You can tell cause he is wearing the world item that's for him only the Red Orb of Momonga. When Ainz fights Platinum Dragon Lord you can tell cause he doesn't have it so in that case its his kid Pandoras Actor.

So many people are sus on Demiurge's loyalty to Ainz... Same with Diablo's loyalty to Rimuru. 🤣🤣🤣

@@mahistv People understand the concept of loyalty. It's just that people generally equate "devils/demon" with treachery. Demons/devils are generally villains and as such villains are naturally disloyal and would often subvert the ones on top/authority and on this case their "master"

It's still funny that people thing Demiurge will betray him. He is quite literally programmed to be loyal to him. That's also how he acts like that. That what his creator made in mind for his character to be. But still his allegiance is still to supreme ones so he would need to have good reason to betray him.
THE ONLY way he would deside to betray him is i Ulbert Alain Odle would return and say to betray Ainz. And that also would be in "deside", because Ainz told him and rest of NPC's to deside their fate for themselfs. So as logical as he is there could be possibility that Demiurge would still go with bone daddy. Just on principle that his creator might abandon him.

Good question. However, it is 100% confirmed Pandora. My take on it, is that unlike with PDL, he was sure the world item will be save, since we had a death squad there to deal with Sebas just in case.

To be able to recognize if it's the real Supreme one or if it's just Pandora's Actor you gotta look at the Red Orb inside of the Ribs. Not because he has red eyes or not... And of course the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown which is specifically made for him only so....yep...still idk
I disagree. When he confronted PDL, that was the case, but in Season 2, too many things say otherwise. World Items can be traded, so he must have given it to him. UNLESS the anime studio made a mistake and it shouldn't have been there in the first place (Kinda like mangekyou sharingan early Naruto)

If there is a thing that make ainz smart. Its undoubtly his Lore(background character of overlord) and not a stats.
Demiurge is the weakest of all guardian. Even in the term of mana. Which in this case in most anime, mana always equal with intelegent. Meaning higher mana stats, the higher the intelegent.
But demiurge doesnt have high mana stats. But he is still the smartest npc including albedo and pandora.
If you want solid prove, try searching momonga character sheet. It is said in the character sheet that momonga describe as "STRONGEST MAGIC CASTER WITH APPEARANCE OF SKELETON".
Its describe as STRONGEST, MEANING there will be one thing that make him "THE STRONGEST" despite the fact that strongest magic caster with strongest fire power is the Goat ulbert and the fact that momonga in term of pvp is not even par with Ranker like touch me.(mominga is average in build because he is not min-maxing stats)

But there is other cacth in vol 16 17 that momonga easily forget things so like forgeting people that his meet or even name of his subordinate that come from new world and forgeting everything else and not so good in the term of learning new things in new volume when he study alchemy with elf. So, his lore doesnt affect his personality as human before. His IQ doesnt get any better like hia subordinate
Except that he doesnt care about human, this affect him the most.
With all consideration above, i believe "the strongest magic caster" lore that he has manifest to real life mysteriously to cover what momonga lacks to become the strongest.
In this case i believe its not just hyper luck, but emotion surpression that is unique to him and not to all player because of his lore. Because we know even shaltear is undead but she still has her emotiom intact.
But we still doesnt know if thos LORE background character is his personal writing or build in system from yggdrasil.
If it was his writing and his friend writing, i believe he has massive buff when he come to new world that make him unbeatable because he can surpress his emotiom and at the same time toying with his enemy emotion as we see an example when he battle in s4 with princess renner Knight that i forgot his name. And also when he battle againts the elf king.
And also, from the overlord story, we know that subtle of the creator capability is reside in the npc personality. Like when we see demiurge arguing with sebas like ulbert with touch me.
At the same time, we knew that pandora actor when fight also act like what momonga wants subconciously in season 4 that even albedo doesnt understand why pandora disgrace momonga with bowing in front of enemy.
In this case we know that not only momonga that has buff in fighting ability, but also pandora actor. And i believe sebas also has some buff that also make him stronger like touch me
Maybe hyper reflex or amazing reflexes lile when touch me in game.
Amd i believe demiurge got his chunni character from ulbert also.
But the terrifiying thing is that other NPC like mare, copying his style of battle. And that will make them sp deadly. Like mare.
What will happen if shaltear use this?
He is already stronger than momonga. If he use this to other people, winning will be an easy things to do.
The art of battle deception is on another level when he and his subordinate fightimg the others. Esspecially when momonga and his NPC even doing it in political scale that can affect people mind in general in national scale. Its already like goverment brainwashing the citizen to believe them and they dont even know what is right what is wrong.
So, battle deception, better Liar that can convince others, having dignity as king and all his move will be look as wisdom(because his overlord class literally "noble class in skeleton" and obviously not commoner , you know like commonee blood, noble blood, commoner noble thingy in all story, decendant of king that make noble smarter and more dignified than the rest of commoner) , emotional surpression , luck? And maybe more.
The only one who will know is Maruyama, we can only speculate
