The Rarest Trophy In EVERY Sonic Game

- Sonic is one of my favourite series and with the recent release of the third movie, there's no better time to look back and find the rarest trophy/achievement in EVERY Sonic game (that has trophies/achievements).
#sonic #trophyhunter #trophies #sonicthehedgehog #trophyhunting #ps5
I'm One of the few people that love to 100%/platinum Sonic Games so seeing a Video Dedicated to The Rarest trophies/achievements is so cool.
I'm also one of those few
Same. I've 100% all mainline games on Xbox. Can't wait for to do another in the future.
@@sonicspeedster2376 me too.The one would I would never want to do again was 4 episode 2 getting all the rings in special stage one. I'd rather 100% 06 again than do that one achivement
Same @@Sonicfalcon16
@Sonicfalcon16 I wouldn't want to do that or mission mode in Adventure 1. Specifically the Ice Cap mission for Sonic and Tails.
In Sonic Forces the hardest achievement is collecting 100,000 rings, and in Sonic Superstars the hardest challenge is killing a certain number of enemies with each character. Both are hard because of how long and tedious it is.
After seeing that one guy's video, the words "Ring King" should've been in the thumbnail. XD
The most tedious in superstars is easily the gold enemy trophy? Enemies can be cheesed in the first water boss. Trip auto-pops pretty much during her campaign so you don't even have to grind. The gold enemies require you to BEAT all levels in one life, without restarting, and find the obscure hidden enemy. It's a serious pain.
@Pacmanfan-po9rn that one is actually easy just takes time and effort after awhile and playing the level multiple times I got it down but the hardest one for me was the stupid fruit level to get 600 rings it took me forever
Sonic Superstars was such a grind for the platinum. Probably my least favorite game in the series to get the platinum for. Sonic Unleashed might’ve been a grind but I really enjoyed getting the platinum
Also, mix it with the fact that no one wants to play that piece of shit.

I always find hilarious that everyone ask that question despite that the game itself TELLS YOU the reason in the Collection section with a plausible explanation.
Don't believe me?, play the game, go to License, pick Collection, choose Sonic and the game say this:
_Sonic is the world's fastest hedgehog, capable of running at the speed of sound (768 mph). His other abilities include a "Spin Attack", a "Spin Dash" and his "Super Sonic" transformation which makes him indestructible and gives him the gift of run-flight._
_Sonic is not an expert swimmer, but is fearless, even of Dr. Eggman. Alongside his best friend Tails, Sonic runs around the world stopping Dr. Eggman schemes. He drives the Speed Star, a car built by his friend Tails, it helps to make a fair race as no one can beat Sonic on foot._
Yep, Sumo Digital (the developer) clearly made a good job adding that aspect, something that Sega didn't do with their other titles like Sonic R or the Olympics games in which Sonic can lose against Mario on running, lol!. 😂
Something about Sonic CD's Savior of the Planet: You can't callect the time stones, because that automatically destroys all the robot generators, disabling the achievement
so thats why i didnt get it. ill be sure to remember this when i play it again
collect*
@@max_imumfries Yeah, you can kind of still do both if you get the last time stone in Metallic Madness, Like get one time stone per zone, but make sure to get the last one in act 2.
You can get six Time Stones, destroy all generators and projectors, and then just get the last Time Stone from Metallic Madness 2.
@@jruler93 Doesn't that break the ending, though? In the 2011 release, I mean
To the people that Platinum’d Team Sonic Racing, (did it twice btw) you know how much of a hell it was to going into the Ghost Trial finding a friend in the leaderboard, beating their time, as well as getting the Sonic Heroes achievement which was finishing a race with 3 controllers linked to the console.
"Sonic 06 - Obviously don't die for S ranks"
Funny thing about that. Sonic 06 is one of the few Sonic games where you can legitimately get an S rank even if you die and it's kind of cool why. Sonic 06 has by far the MOST generous ring bonus AND score requirement by requiring you to get 50,000 points in a level, no matter what (100,000 in "Very hard mode DLC" but you get 50,000 points added to your time bonus regardless, so if you beat the stage in the same amount of time as regular for an S rank, you'll get more than enough points for S rank in Very hard, it's not like Cosmic Wall Hard in SA2B where you gotta find those extra points).
In fact, when I was younger, the way I'd S rank Crisis City since I kept dying during the final section is to get through the first 3 sections as quickly as possible, ignoring all points and focusing purely on time, then I'd try to go through the Speed up section collecting as many rings as possible, ideally at least 200 of them (there's tons of rings) and avoid taking damage (if I did, just die and try again, you usually get 100 rings at least so you'll have unlimited tries). Eventually you make it and will get about 20,000 points in rings and should get at least 30,000 in time, netting you that nice S rank. That' what I find so underrated about Sonic 06. It didn't demand perfection to S rank, but rather creativity. So the ultra long stages like Kingdom Valley where you can pretend there is no Time Bonus, you'll get so many regular points that you'll get an S rank anyway so take your time and look for secrets and enemy combo opportunities. and some stages can get you so many rings that the raw score + rings should get you it. Or in Crisis City's case, you get so many rings, you can mostly ignore enemies and points and still get it. a FAR cry from modern games where your S ranks are all gotten the same way, "Go fast and don't die" which just kills any creativity and turns every stage to a speed run. Colors is the exception but there's a hidden timer that locks your score if you take too long since you can theoretically farm unlimited points with the Wisps, but S ranking with Super Sonic is a genuine challenge as Super Sonic can't use wisps and only gets the rings you lose as bonus points (since they take away from your ring bonus in the end), so you really need to find as many red star rings and sources of points and go fast to get enough. Alas by the time you unlock Super Sonic, you've 100%ed the game anyway, it's WAY easier to get S ranks while finding the red star rings than with SS, so it's just a bonus.
Aren't there also one or two stages in '06 where there's so many enemies that you can take as long as you want and still get the S rank off of enemy score alone? (Provided you don't die on the way and reset your score, of course)
20:10 The Nega Wisp Armor in Colors, the final Boss of Forces and Lost World, as well as Squid in Frontiers are essentially clones of Egg Lancer in Unleashed. If you play them back to back you'll realize they use the same attacks, patterns and way of playing, it's honestly amazing how much they reused that boss mode lol
7:54 Just seeing tails get sent flying back by the spring is just so funny 😂
22:48 “sonic forces is one of the sonic games of all time”
8:45 SEGA reference super knuckles in a frontiers voice line!
Unfortunately the Sonic community completely missed that Knuckles was sarcastically saying that, he wasn’t referencing his form.
Sonic Superstars removed the Super form from Knuckles and gives him a yellow glow instead of his form from the Genesis games. They’re doubling down on removing super forms.
What was the line?
@NoahRoberts-n3w knuckles says to sonic "not bad! Although things would've been faster if I'd been super knuckles"
That sonic06 intro cinematic still bops
Yeah, Sonic '06's CG cutscenes are still beautiful to this day.
When it came to mission mode in Sonic Adventure, Ice Cap with Sonic and Tails was so annoying. Took hours to finish those but it was worth getting the achievement.
Yeah, especially Sonic's as you had to go through all of Ice cap to try again since you can't easily just restart the snowboard stage, and both of them happen at the end. Most of the missions are a joke and then there's that one which uses a mechanic you have to intuitively pick up that ONE time. Oh and the flags for tails can eat......
@MarioMastar 👍
Yeah, that particular mission was brutal.
The hardest part of the Gold medals achivement isn't even the S ranks, its collecting the 10 silver medals for a free gold medal and if you're silver it really drags. I could only do 1 silver a level a day just because of medal collecting
Yeah honestly, just best to use a guide to find them. Some of them are "if you don't line up your jump right you'll miss it" but at least unlike the Red star rings, Sonic 06 is designed with exploration in mind akin to Sonic Adventure/2/Heroes. so it's not too annoying to comb through and try different paths. The annoying part is trying to figure out what Silver medal you're missing though.....
19:38 bruh tf you mean Fighters isn’t good???
I might be one of the few casual gamers who got the Sonic Adventure HD Missions trophy. The biggest bitch of them all was this one for Sonic's Snow Cap level where you have to make a surprisingly precise Triple Jump off some ramps near the end of the snowboarding level, but because the physics and momentum are SA1, it becomes the most difficult mission of the missions!
Here I am, eating dinner, watching random youtube videos on autoplay, and suddenly, my video pops up in this video at 22:48 lmfaoooo.
Props, man, good video, enjoyed it.
The TSR Platinum was by far one of the most mentally taxing trophies I’ve ever gotten, mainly because I decided to do it in like 3 sittings, but I would never have expected a Sonic Racing game to push me harder than SA2
The Xbox 360 version of Sonic 3 does not let you use the in-game save feature. It guts it and forces you to use save states. This means you HAVE to get the Chaos Emeralds all in one run.
The Online Racer trophy is going to be even harder for those who don't have the trophy right now since very few people play sonic 2 online. The game is also delisted so it would be impossible for a new user to get this version.
26:32 I'd imagine it has something to do with the bug with the boss of aquarium park being near impossible to kill quickly if you play at above 30fps as for some reason his speed when running away from you in drill form is tied to framerate.
PS3 06 not having achievements is somehow a huge shock to me
Even more than the Genesis games' 7th Gen release order going from Wii (2006-2007) to XBLA (2007-2009) to PS3 (2011)
8:55 I hate that question, I really do, because the people who ask that stupid question are people who CLEARLY don't know Sonic's character that well. The reason why Sonic needs a car is because he likes to play fair, every true Sonic fan knows this. And Sonic KNOWS that he's faster on his feet than he is behind the wheel, but he also believes in fair play, which is why Sonic CHOOSES to nerf himself by driving a car to make it fair for everyone else, plus in All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sonic kinda needs the transforming car since he can't fly on his own
its not that deep man, its a blue rat in a blue Corvette, relax
I actually got Cagophilist! It was definitely a pain to get and drove me insane at some points for how close I’d get to the goal only to just barely miss, but it ultimately gave me a better appreciation for the character classes and vehicle mods. While it is seemingly inconsequential, the mods you have equipped and the characters you use them on can make or break your attempt to get the keys. It was really like solving a puzzle and once you do solve it, it’s super satisfying! (Sadly that does not save the turmoil my thumbs and PS5 controller went through lol)
The canon reason for why Sonic is in a car is because he thinks it's cool, that's it, that's the reason
1:49 considering this was released Dec 31, 2024--or 1 day ago as of writing this comment--we might as well say 2025 now haha!
A small correction on the Shadow Generations part, while talking to the characters doesn't give you any collectables they are needed for 100% regardless. (At least talking to Gerald and Maria is, you just need to walk up to Orbot, Cubot, and Big and see their cutscenes, I mostly know this from watching 100% speedruns)
The thing I am sure about is that completing missions in Sonic Generations doesn't automatically give you the collectables, a bell shows up at the top of the challenge gate for you to hit and chase down the collectable.
Great video regardless, I'm glad to know I'm in the small percentage that's gotten all the challenges completed in Sonic Forces and all the gold Badniks in Sonic Superstars. (the latter of which I did before they patched out the infinite super form glitch)
The thing with the bells is also sort of true for Shadow Generations as well. Though I say "sort of" for a reason - while the challenge gates work the same as in Sonic's side of things, spawning a bell after completion, the challenges themselves have three tokens to find in them just like Shadow's full acts do. So each regular challenge (I don't think the hard mode challenges have tokens) effectively gates four collectibles - one from the bell, and three tokens in the challenge itself.
@@TARDISES You got a point there, I just didn't consider that since I forgot when writing the comment and those are keys for the chests in the overworld where you can unlock the collectable.
And yeah you're right, the hard mode challenges don't have any collectables, they only count towards stage completion in the records menu.
This video is fire? 🔥
The most annoying parts of Aquarium Park are
1. The second Red Star Ring in Aquarium Park Act 4
2. Hitting the boss both times with the drill wisp, mostly the second one.
In sonic adventure 2 i found getting the a ranks for the base levels harder then the hard mode ones for the most part. Usually their idea of making levels harder is more enemies which in turn gets you more points making the ranks kinda easy
I'll be honest never heard of you and this is my first video I see from you but its a really good video and I'm happy to see that small content creator are still putting in effort in the videos really cool ty
You’re cool!
I’m gonna tell you right now, Forces might be one of the hardest games here to 100%. These challenges are god damn never ending, the 100,000 rings and having to play as every species is hell
Here are some feats from game sonic this is from another comment btw I didn’t type all this And Game Sonic Scale
-Each atom is an infinite sized Universe
-Each atom contains infinite universes and atoms exist in dreams aswell
-The dreams are apart of the maginary world
-The maginary world are jungian archetypes and this would scale basically anyone from the verse Tier 1-A to 0
-There's also transfinite hierarchies
-There's also infinite Multiverses beyond archetypal universes
-Game Sonic is also parallel to Archie Sonic's universe
-Sonic defeated Infinite who was stated to be Sonic's strongest villain before Frontiers and he defeated Infinite in base form
-Infinite is a trillion times more powerful that Sonic's previous villains
-Infinite with the phantom ruby is able to create dimensionless zones/universes that are closed off from jungian archetypes
-The 7 world rings are the source of all creation/ pages in the Arabian Nights
-Sonic has access to the 7 world rings after defeating the Erazor Djinn, and his darkspine form which makes Sonic one with the 7 world rings making Sonic the source behind all of creation in the Arabian Nights, while also granting Sonic the ability to change the narrative of the story and do whatever he wants. This qualifies for plot manipulation
-Sonic also oneshottted the precious stone
-The precious stone contains every single dream in the verse
-Sonic Shuffle was also mentioned in Sonic And The Secret Rings so its definitely canon
-Sonic was also stated to be near omnipotent
-Base Sonic (After Sonic 06)is also above Solaris who was going to destroy all existing timelines which includes the maginary world and the transfinite hierarchies
-The maginary world assembles the dreams of all other dimensions
-Sonic transcends transfinite universes
-The Super String Theory exists in Sonic Boom and Sega stated that everything is canon
-There are infinite dimensions and timelines
-Chaos Emeralds are on a higher plane of
existence
-The chaos force is said to beyond the concept of
time and space, and the concept of dimensions in
infinite Multiverses beyond archetypal universes
-Sonic is metaphysical
-Sonic managed to break the Nullspace
(Nullspace is a place where scientific approaches
arent possible and beyond dimensionality). This is
an Outerversal feat and Sonic did it in base form
-There are infinite possibilities
-Everything in the Sonic multiverse is possible
-Time and Space is irrelevant in the Sonic verse
making Space-Time Outerversal
-Sonic managed to beat Supreme who scales
above Infinite and Cyberspace (The Cyberspace
contains mathematical structures, Infinite has the
power of the phantom ruby which is confirmed by
Eggman that it is so powerful that he doesn't
bother getting the Master Emerald)
-Snic restored the concept of time and space with
his speed and this is easily an irrelevant speed
feat
-Nights Palace have metaphysical aspects
Conclusion: Base Sonic is High Outer with
irrelevant speed and infinite layers into boundless
in Super Form

Btw in the Game Center on apple devices
Mobile games like sonic dash and the sonic classics ports do have achievements
Same with dream team
Raising my hand as a person who played Sonic Heroes multiplayer. With my sis, on my dad's Xbox. Good times.
Sonic Heroes multiplayer was SO fun! I genuinely miss hot seat Multiplayer Sonic.
Those Metal Skins were cool too
I remember having a very miserable time grinding for the cagophilist trophy in TSR, mainly cos it felt as though it would just pop up when it felt like it.
A Friend in Speed is even worse by how long it takes because Digital Sumo in their Infinite wisdom decided not to include a tab for your friend times.
@rayvenkman2087
I thought that was going to be a difficult one until I decided to just set a bad record with my secondary account and then beat it with my main one.
Personally I think the bolts are much worse than the chests, you can at least track the chests if you’ve gone near them/seen them. Not very helpful but it’s at least something compared to the bolts.
and if u look up a guide u can at least tell which ones u don't have based on which songs/artworks aren't in the collection room
It’s also worth noting that the mission mode in Sonic Adventure is only available in Sonic Adventure DX, which is DLC on both PC and Xbox 360 (don’t know about PlayStation, but I’d assume it’s the same)
So that could be another reason it’s so rare, because not everyone would get the DLC
Sonic 06s multiplayer was actually fun, me and my cousin didn’t care how the game played at the time but it was a banger
Gonna be honest. The hardest achievement for me on Sonic Mania was getting the 3 combo in the mean bean machine boss. I completed the gold medals with ease. I just love blue spheres
Uh no, the Mania special stages solo I'm afraid...
(Joking, awesome video!!)
Sonic Racing fanatic here, I've perfected TSR before and it's very very fun. Still wish the steam version of All Stars Racing had achievements
So I feel like the chao emblems from Sonic Adventure 2 was massively underplayed. The glitch makes it easy, sure, but it it STILL easily the most tedious, boring, monotonous activity to do in the game. It's not just Chao Karate, but also the Chao Races, which requires your Chao to have all stats over 2k. Which takes AGES to do even with the glitch.
i was not expecting to see Lego Dimensions, but it is so fantastic to see it here.
Try going for every single achievement/trophy across every single platform including Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Xbox One, PS3, PS VITA, PS4, PS5, and Steam.
Just be thankful you only have to do Sonic 06 once. That game doesn’t have trophies.
I think aquarium park’s achievement is the rarest because the boss is bugged in a way that makes it insanely difficult to S-rank, at least for me.
Sonic Frontiers was one of the easiest platinums to me.
Probably because I had the most fun with it
I got the platinum for team sonic racing a few years ago and while it was challenging I’m really surprised by how rare some of the trophies are as I feel like there are plenty of harder games out there with trophies that are more common
Let's see...
I got "Gold Medalist" from Sonic 06. I enjoy the game so I actually had fun with this. It wasn't that much of a challenge besides few hiccups.
"Up for a Challenge" from Sonic Forces. It was painful to do, but I had some fun with it. Replaying stages over and over again made me enjoy the game more and I had actually don't feel dissapointed anymore. No joke. It ain't that bad.
(Hedge)Hoging it all up from Shadow Generations. Finding tokens wasn't that bad (minus the ones in Sunset Heights), so I had chests unlocked rather quickly. Getting journals and screws wasn't that bad either after I realised that some spawn in Doom Zone.
Other challenges either I don't feel like doing at the moment (Unleashed, Mania, Generations), I don't have the game (tennis, sega all star racing) or I refuse to do for one reason or another (frontiers)
I’ve spent hundreds of hours trying to get all the emblems in sa2, and I think I only have 120 so far. I’m not joking, it took me like 300 restarts to get enough points for an A on city escape. It feels hopeless lmao
I got the sonic forces platinum not long ago, it was hell
You're not required to find all the robot generators to get the good ending in Sonic CD, you can also do that by collecting the Time Stones which doesn't require any time travelling
I did in fact get all the missions completed on the GameCube
Not trying to be rude...forces time trials are not really easy
29:46 no, no it’s not. It’s the screws, you can tell by the all chests achievement percentage being significantly higher than the (Hedge)hogging It All Up achievement
I Do Have A Few Of This. Including The 06 One.
Almost 1/20 people having achievements like the rarest Shadow Gens one is crazy
“LOL I only play on the thing that you said”
The rarest one in the original Gens is actually the only achievement I don’t have because I don’t even know when to reset the run to try again, also the boss just sucks in general but that was already obvious.
I’ve gotten “Can’t Touch This!” before it became 1.0%
Sonic 3's Total Chaos achievement isn't easy because it doesn't use the Sonic 3 save system; it uses the same save system as the Backbone ports of Sonic 1, 2 and S&K, so if you don't have the emeralds by endgame, you gotta start again.
Oh huh, a platinum-ish that I have that you don't, quite a rarity. Sonic 06 is a guilty pleasure of mine so I finished it 100% on 360 and PS3, despite the lack of trophies in the latter.
Not me pressing the thumbnail because i thought it was a reel
Dont worry zombio and zombico are from pachinko machines
Glad to say I have the team sonic racing platinum
Elise jokes in big 2025
I managed to 100% Shadow gens in 30hours and loved every minute
My personal rarest trophy
Sonic 4 Rp II- Pkay as Tails 50 times
I played hours of Multiplayer Sonic Heroes, you shhh
I have the platinum trophy for team Sonic racing. Are there more here ? The game is really an underrated gem. The team mecanic just rocks (if ai works well) especially with friends 😎
Sonic Dash has a TON of achievements...and I proudly have them all
i hated the wyvern boss too. but once i found out you can cyloop the bosses..that boss is a full on joke
lol i only play on the microwave
With Sonic Frontiers I just 100% the worlds when I was trophie hunting
Why does sonic 2 look ai upscaled?
Dash, Prime Dash and Speed Battle all have achievements too
The rarest achievement in Sonic dream team is “S-rank all acts in sweet dreams”. It says so in game.
Edit: acts not levels
The rarest achievement in Sonic Dream Team is "Buy an Apple device so you can play it in the first place...." $250 game.....
I did the Sonic Forces platinum, you’ll feel dead after.
Does switch have achievements
Sa and sa2 are peak. If only we got a sonic hero remake lol
Actually, Super Knuckles IS acknowledged in Frontiers so....better than nothing.
I actually played the multiplayer a ton for all 3d sonic games
8:19 Wait how is this rarer than going hyper?
5:47 I thought literally that and it's good you said it
Thank you for spelling “colours” correctly
Not sure if I should be proud or ashamed for getting all 1000 achievements for 06 😂
Hey Current Trofund, did Past Trofund like the sonic movie?
You bet he did!
unleashed's so obvious
I 100%’d Sonic 06 many years back but I wish I had trophies on PS3. Cause I’d get the platinum if sega ever rereleased it
why does the video on 1080p look so bad
OG Sonic Gens due to the online achievement bullshit.
Sonic 3 was amazing
22:45 bro had a script error lol
7:23 HOW! Getting all the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic 3 is so easy so how is this achievement so rare?
Not everyone enjoys blue sphere, and 10% isn't as rare as like any other thing in this video.
@@maniacaal Yeah, true, and granted, i've had a loooot of practice, combine that with knowing where all of the rings are in both Angel Island & Hydro City, I can get all the Chaos Emeralds by Hydro City Act 2 (And yes, Hydro City is the CORRECT spelling, ignore what Sonic 3 & Sonic Mania say, Sonic Generations & Sega themselves confirm that "Hydro City" is the correct way to spell it)
Honestly I wish that when they discontinue those stupid Toys-to-life games, they would just release a patch that lets you play with the characters without requiring those stupid figures or that damn portal, or at the very least release the characters as DLC, cause I myself actually want to try out the Skylanders games but I want to do it without shelling out extra money for those stupid figures
Sonic X shadow generations is a cool HD game
Honey the Cat mentioned
Is It rare I almost have completed all missions In Sonic forces and just have the honors ones, the time trials and complete 30 SOS missions
It would be great if you included timestamps for every game you played
Do the achievement and make a video on it
Lol I only play on leapfrog :)
