    Another cool POV street photography vlog David. Shooting in harsh light can be super cool for high contrast images, really liked the backlit shots & agree with Kieran, that bnw image is awesome at 7:09. Have a good one mate! Cheers

      Thanks, Peter. Appreciate it, mate. I do prefer the night shooting, but the harsh light for street is great if you can find those interesting shadows. Thanks for watching 🖖

    Those B&W shots are so atmospheric!!! I sometimes forget to think in Black and White these days, but it can be SO good. Great video again David.

      Thanks, Tim. Bnw isn't something I do a lot normally, but street in harsh light seems to suit it great. Thanks for watching, mate 👍

      @@DavidFlowerOfficial Yeah, maybe that was it. As a general rule, I hate doing photography in harsh light, but those shots worked really well in your video.

      Yeah, harsh light is a pain in most situations. I much prefer that sweet golden hour light or night time😁👍

    The lens is a budget lens but it is great, challenges your skills and it can take nice holiday or hobby photos. I have fun with this lens trying to take a great shot and editing in post too

    liked all of your captures especially the picture in 05:25.big question for you, will it still be great to buy the a6000 and the 55-210 lense in 2024? ( FOR THE BEGGING )

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The a6000 is a great camera no matter what year it is as cameras don’t get worse over time, their successors just get more features (many of which I’d never use).
      There’s a reason it’s one of the best selling mirrorless cameras ever🖖😁

    We were toying with getting the Sigma 18-50. However, we have got the Sony 55-210 already. Truth be told we haven't used our A6000's for a good few years. After watching a few videos now, including your excellent videos on both lenses, I think we will stick with what we have. We want to so a bit of street photography and also a few occasional portraits and sports stuff. I think this lens should do us fine as an all rounder though it would be good to hear your thoughts.

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's great to hear, if what you have is working for you, no need to change it.
      The 55-210 isn't the sharpest lens ever, but depending on your intended use, it's pretty good for most things. If you wanted to upgrade in the future, the Sony 18-105mm f4 is another fantastic all rounder with more focus on the wider focal lengths.
      Thanks for watching, have an awesome weekend 🖖

    Hi, I've just gotten a second hand a6000 with the kit lens and last week bought this lens, my question is how much ISO can I use before it starts degrading the image quality? I don't really trust the viewfinder/screen yet

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On the a6000 I never went above 1600 iso unless I really had to. After that there’s quite significant colour noise visible in the image.
      Thanks for watching 🖖

    Hi - this lens works in Sony Alpha 700?

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey. No this is an E mount lens. For Sony alpha 700 you need A mount lenses🖖

    You use a go pro when it comes to the video footage of you taking the photos I'm guessing??

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a DJI osmo pocket on a chest mount 🖖

    • @HagaishiSama
      @HagaishiSama 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DavidFlowerOfficial Nice 👍🏿. Do you like that over Go pro? I wanted to get one but was on the fence

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HagaishiSama Yeah I prefer the d-cinelike picture profile in the osmo. The only real downside is that the osmo pocket isn't in any way water resistant so you have to be careful with it in the rain.

    What camera settings do you use?

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without going back through archived photos I'm not sure on this particular shoot. On all of my more recent videos all the settings are on screen and I have a video specifically about my settings for the a6000. Thanks for watching 🖖

    Hello, David. What's your favourite lens for street and landscape photography?

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For street it's a 50mm prime without a doubt. For landscape it very much depends on what the scene calls for, but with my Nikon system my go-to setup for most situations was the D800 and the Sigma Art 24-105mm f4🖖
