Cool car. Personally I prefer the sound of N/A VTEC going to 9000 RPM, but this is pretty cool too.
But something seems wrong because it is barely faster than N/A K20 with bolt ons.
@@robsenb16 I think this is purely a K24 without the K20 head. It does seem slower than a well specced N/A K20 though

K24's rarely go to 9K mate. And given the fact its a turbo, it is most likely a K24Z(7?) out of the later TSX's, due to the integrated exhaust manifold lending itself perfectly for turbo builds.
EDIT: Just wached their build video. They dont mention it, but it doesn't look like a K24Z, since it has individual exhaust ports. Odd choice to be honest, I'd have gone with the much less desirable K24Z, it'd have been cheaper and the exhaust is much more efficient for turbo. Ah well, it is what it is...

not the top speed people know civics are 140 - 150mph cars , it has little acceleration and it barely sounds more energetic foot down vs cruising. were to used to him showing high hp cars it makes 300hp cars appear slow .

Its to much its like its already onto the higher cam /vtec constantly , too loud.
but 300hp in a 1100kg civic will feel well fast but its not much of a spectater sport unless there's a 1litre eco car tagging along as the slower visual reference for acceleration difference

I watched the Dyno video with subtitles. I’m not 100% sure if the tuner knew exactly what he was doing either cause the graph looks really odd. But 300hp feels great in these cars.

@@Avenger556fmj well what I meant was there are k24’s that don’t use 3 lobe vtec like we all know and love. Some only use 2 lobe vtec and it’s only on the intake side. But I was mistaken, if this motor is the k24a3 it should have 3 lobe vtec so I assume vtec was actually not working when they dyno tuned the car.
@@PRZJ91 Yeah, if it's the A3 that's more or less the same motor as A2 in the TSX. A3 has VTEC on both intake and exhaust cams.

This needs putting together properly, the gearshifts are terrible like the shifter or cables dont want to select the gears.
Turbo needs winding up as probably only running 7 psi so not even tickling it.

The only thing that irritates me is that really short gearbox, why would u destroy your possibility to daily it just because u want to gain 0.2-0.3 on the speed, 6th gear 100 km/h 3.300 rpm

Those guy’s who own it don’t listen to advice or experts. Because it’s their build. The color scheme is off, that livery and that rear bumper including their new diffuser wich you don’t see in this video is off. And that setup is is also way off. Other then that it’s just a harnas with a good engine.

A n/a ep3 type r is way slower as this. Watch how it goes from 90 to 140 km/h. No way a soft tuned ep3 can do that.
