So glad I got here to see this, even if I came in at the middle. My students are begging for a demo and this shows just how important it is for students to see what we are telling them. I have all my group tuned in to anything you post so thanks Andrew. Your work is certainly epic. Your technique shows such amazing results. I am blessed to have stumbled into your earliest you tube podcast. You are my top contemporary artist and I especially love your stunning portraits. I love the video interviews with other artists. This helps us recognize how very blessed we are to be doing this. Hi to your wife and little one. Hope you can keep that place warm when winter comes. Blessings, Diana
I love it. It’s a horsey and it’s my favorite animal. I I want the backdrop.
So yeah, it’s so cute. I really want it. I hope you have a good day. Yeah this is probably fun on this video and yeah, it’s been a good day for me so yeah I can❤❤

Thank you Andrew - lovely to see you back in the old place. I think it suits the scale of your work as well as being a more comfortable home for you and the family. Best wishes - paul 😃😃😎😎
Really really appreciate you and your generosity it's beyond words. You're just a fantastic guy an artist. Thank you
Cool to see you in action again brother! Never gets old. Cheers from Canada
You never cease to amaze me, I don't know how you can paint talk at the same time... it takes a real teacher in a real artist to be able to do that. I myself making say a few words like hello that's nice or come back again goodbye but to use search vocabulary and teaching and painting , add so much else going on keeping up with this that or the other and conversation with the chat as well.. I'll tell you your brilliant❤
Oh! So sorry I missed the LIVE. But I have finally got here and enjoy watching you from FLORIDA. LIFE-long equestrian , I am. Enchanted by the way you paint them. ☮️❤️🙏

Hello from Canada.
Yes Andrew..
Hi Andrew, I think you are an amazing guy and you have so much energy that it amazes me how you find the time to do all these wonderful things that you do. How do you juggle the time and in the process still have family time and/or podcasting etc etc and plien painting? Do you also workout in the gym and what do you do when taking time out, if that is even possible in your busy schedule, mate? Really love your work too. ❤❤😅😊
I may have to do a daily routine video. You can fit it all in, it's just a matter of prioritising! I really appreciate your kind comments!
Didn't know that about Zinc White. I use Titanium White and Buff Titanium for highlights.

You should give Rebelle software a try. Very similar to traditional painting. Oils, acrylic, pastels, etc.
Great info,,,

I wasn't able to catch the live video (Western Canada) so hopefully you will see my concern here. I am wondering about the angle of the foreground brown horse's head being so in line with the angle of the next brown horse's front leg; is that a faux pas?
hi andrew here from canada
Hi Andrew! I do have experience, in fact I no longer paint. First of all, let me tell you that chat is disabled. Finish that painting! At least finish blocking it. Regarding the sienna color of the background, it should be used when you want that color to be transparent and complement it, as in the case of water where the surrounding terrain and the brown horses are reflected.. I learned to paint with a neutral gray as a base, this helps the color not lie to you when you are painting, you must have studied color theory, so you must know what I'm talking about. Well, let's see how far this goes... Greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico!
Why cremnitz as opposed to plain stack or flake? Also what are the largest and smallest size brushes (and shapes) you are using for both the bottom, b. umber sketch and then the second, first color layer (for a painting this size as well as say a 12"x16")?
Last I swear!: When do you use linquin vs oleogel? How do you feel about Archival Lean v linquin?
Great to see you paint and always love to hear your painting thought processes. I've been playing around with a palette similar to yours for sometime. Who needs black when you can do the UltBl + BrtUm route, eh? I do like the Impressionists high palette and throwing in CMY to modernize it gives an incredible range.
QQQ: Burnt Umber is now thought to give a bit of a brittle paint film. Have you ever played around with the Mars Brown + Mars Black as a more stable substitute? I know that I just made a comment re not needing black, but I also love Velazquez and not just the Impressionists. 😉
Thanks again for your fantastic content.
I'll continue to experiment. I have heard this too. I have a few Mars colours around, I may give it another go! As far as brittle goes, I keep it relatively thin, and it is also mixed with a bunch of other stuff, also Alkyd resin... That helps maintain some flexibility.
@@AndrewTischlerArt Thanks, Tisch!
Lol.. I love your mud. Sometimes it's not easy to do ❤. you know what I mean?🙃
