That’s what these are here for. So far, most of our overland guides (filmed, not edited) have been easier trails with optional harder trails. We are trying to cover easier trails… I just didn’t know how to make them entertaining, but I think we’re figuring that out.
@@coloradomallcrawlers Good to hear! I imagine it’s hard to keep viewers’ attention with pretty scenery alone. I do like the overlanding idea though. We just did that trail 2 days ago. Most of the shelf road is not narrow enough to be of concern if you have some experience with shelf roads and the off camber section didn't even register with me. Down at the bottom of that section there is a short length that is very narrow. It didn't bother me but I did pay attention to my line. It is not quite as intimidating as sections higher up because the amount of drop off is not nearly as much meaning the bottom of the hill is relatively close but it is still high enough to hurt if you rolled down it. (You need to pay attention to your driving when you are on any shelf road.) Once you get to the bottom it is a long bumpy road to reach the paved road. We didn't see much camping at the beginning of the trail, there are official campsites at the west end of the trail.
Great insight! About camping, I’m going to make a couple overland guides in this area and I’ll show where the good camping is. There’s lots of spots in summit county.
