Tbf it does set an example for groups to band together and artificially price fix the cost of labor to the demise of the shareholders who the board represent
The 777X is neither revolutionary nor ground breaking. A very nice plane but it will not change anything. The only thing the 777X does differently from a 747 for instance is to lower the fuel and maintenance costs but it does not change anything for passengers. The 777X has the same problem as the 380, it is too big for most routes.
Lower cabin altitude is a big deal to me. Yes, that's nothing new compared to the 787 and A350, but legacy 777, 767, 747 etc don't have that. Having another long haul plane with lower cabin altitude will be a godsend.
MBA's and union busting are destroying Boeing. An assembly line worker makes more critical safety of flight decisions in one shift than any of the Boeing MBAs make in an entire year. MBAs at Boeing proved you can't take a South Carolins tractor mechanic and have him build an airplane with the quality of an experienced union member. The 737 re, re, re, reengineering has eroded safety margins that have long been what kept Boeing at the top of the industry. A new 737 NEO has less than half the safety margins of a 757. But a Boeing MBA has proven with enough money you can indeed put 10 pounds of poop in a 5-pound bag. But they still have not proven that it is as safe as using a 10-pound bag. The 737-business plan is that after an airline crashes one they will buy another one to replace it. Oh yea, is NASA going to get a full refund for the POS space craft they sold us taxpayers? The one thing no one is talking about is how much Boeings insurance rates have gone up because of poor quality and creative engineering that are passed on to the customers. Old quality 757 cost should be the same today as a low quality 737 because of hull loss safety margins.
What worries me is that a lot of us have to fly Boeing or not fly at all, my route between Saigon and London on Emirates involves a B777 for the 1st leg and then an A380 for the leg to London. Now with a whistle blower talking about bad practice on the 777 assemble line that may affect aging aircraft has me worried. I already dislike the business class two abreast coffin type seats, but to be on a coffin aircraft has me looking at other routes.
38,000 Boeing aircraft fly every day. Even if one crashed per day, your chance of crashing would be less than 0.000026. Yes the company has its issues but there's no need to be so dramatic about it. Flying a Boeing is still far safer than driving to work.
Before long I thinking BOEING 777X is a less trouble than BOEING 737 MAX that got big trouble from January yesterday. Suddenly, as I heard Emirates boss gets angry at BOEING it would be truly big trouble. Maybe 2024 is a bad year for BOEING because of many issue and crisis from beginning of the year until latest year of 2024. This made BOEING will be loss everything if it is BOEING 777X not less trouble anymore.
The problem with 777x if you need that much efficiency you have to reduce the weight of materials but if remove the critical parts or strength it will cost you high and not safe or worth it , recently they had crack in engine , it’s because of using weak materials such as titanium instead of stainless steel , whatever the matter, not compromise the safety of system . Boeing is loosing its legacy , if 737 max happens in 777x then , no one going to board into this plane .
I doubt Boeing even has the aerospace engineers that could design a modern passenger jet. Look at the Boeing crew cabin design that ended up overheating the thruster valves. Thruster valves have been around for 60 years and they couldn't get this right?
It seems they would’ve learned from the original a350 being nothing more than an upgraded a330 rather than a groundbreaking new aircraft to compete with the 787. As a result, the original a350 was rejected until they made a clean sheet future forward design. This plane will never enter production.
Honestly, I don't think it was a bad idea in general. The 777 wasn't that old, and with many airlines looking more to long range, but not huge planes (787 and A350), a clean sheet replacement for the 777 and 747 would have been very expensive. I think the 777X could have been a good thing, but Boeing just can't seem to do anything right anymore. And whether it's the 777X or a clean sheet design, it would have had to compete for resources and attention while the 737 MAX was burning the company to the ground.
I think the 747 got closed was because Joe Stutter was the only one who could design it but when he died I think Boeing couldn’t have found any good engineer after him though the best talent wants to come to the company but it’s ceo prefers money so they go to spaceX, blue origin and Lockheed Martin and few others which give them better insight and later on they start their own start up.
They have the 787-9 and the 777 they don’t need this plane. The 787-9 is a very great plane and so is the 777 they don’t need this plane the other two do what the 777X can do
this channel is totally airbus propaganda😂😂, i watched some videos for example the new engine upgrade for a350 is end for boeing🤣but how? when B777 has GE90, GE9X
Maybe they should since they forgot how to build aircraft while shoveling money up their asses.
How long before the wing tips fall off in flight, or get stuck in the open or closed position.
imagine giving up $1B per month instead of offering a 40% raise.

Not true. For passengers it’s a game changer. The a350 porthole approach just makes it feel like a dungeon.
So go ahead and fly with the 777X only. 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed except for the size part. Airlines are literally re-activating their a380s from storage/retirement due to demand

the one and only problem of the a380 is the 4 reactors compared to the large twin-jets on the market, period !!!!
Ironically the folding wing tips seem to be one of the few features Boeing have got right!
What about prestige? Another way to look at it is perhaps that we are too short on material to fly purely point to point?
What is the hold up now?

This is what happens when you cut corners from the start and your ideas don’t work

Boeing 777 is known to be an extremely good plane, it has a proven track record for many years. The worry should be about 777x, not the earlier one.
@@jamespennacchini2128 Since 1960 I've driven or been driven to work and only broke down once. We just coasted to the hard shoulder and called the AA.

I believe if Alan Mulally was running the 777 Program it would be on time with few problems.
sounds so similar to 737 max program cost cutting little to no training needed for pilots to transition.

Airbus's A321 XLR is beginning to be a problem for Boeing so I think Boeing should work on a ''797'' or modifications to the 757 or 767 families
I doubt Boeing even has the aerospace engineers that could design a modern passenger jet. Look at the Boeing crew cabin design that ended up overheating the thruster valves. Thruster valves have been around for 60 years and they couldn't get this right?
Even with all that money, they couldn't buy the talent...
R u describing the 737 max?? Or 777. Boeing as company, is no more

It was basically a NEO with extras... Training costs reduced, etc, is the the same trouble that got the MAX crashes.
The A330 Neo is flying guy. Less expensive than an A350. Different type of customers.
Boeing will never build a plane like the 777 classic. Never😡
I think the 747 got closed was because Joe Stutter was the only one who could design it but when he died I think Boeing couldn’t have found any good engineer after him though the best talent wants to come to the company but it’s ceo prefers money so they go to spaceX, blue origin and Lockheed Martin and few others which give them better insight and later on they start their own start up.
Ppl underestimate the importance of Boeing to the govt.
to which government? the US? The rest of the world doesnt give a d@mn about it.
They have the 787-9 and the 777 they don’t need this plane. The 787-9 is a very great plane and so is the 777 they don’t need this plane the other two do what the 777X can do
The should give up on it.
I dought it, but Im giving up on Aviaat
Boeing and their flying coffins hahahaha
777 still a 1960 aircraft.
90's idiot.!!!!
You don't know what you're talking about 😆
He's an idiot... absolutely clueless...
Clueless commenting at it's finest..
just curious but what is left of the old 777 in the new 777x
more stupidity
1st view😍
1st to like

Your name is Boeing fan, of course you're going to be bias...
Another boeing crashed killing 180 people.
@Aviaat1that is bot with that name
