- Singapore Management University (SMU) was privileged to host Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the Ho Rih Hwa Leadership Lecture Series on Thursday, 20 September 2018.
The second part of the event comprised of a candid and spirited Question and Answer session moderated by SMU Chairman Mr Ho Kwon Ping. The questions flowed freely and touched on a host of topics ranging from Singapore-Malaysia relations, his outlook on the political landscape in Malaysia, to his own personal mantra.
Held at the SMU Hall, the event saw close to 1,200 attendees consisting of the foreign diplomatic community, chambers of commerce, the SMU Board of Trustees, School’s Advisory Board members, faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as principals, teachers and students from other educational institutions.

After all what he'd been through, I was in tears and my heart finally feels at ease when they announced that he is our Prime Minister. I have never been this emotional before. I believed he can change what was terribly damaged by our previous minister. Salute to our new PM DSAI!

Bila Anwar dilantik one of the first things on my mind was this video.
Saya rasa in the long term jika Anwar berjaya, 2020-2022 will just be a blemish in history, just another setback for Anwar that was overcome nonetheless.
Less than 9 years left to avoid cattrospical Conflicts would displace things and we need counties to get ready with ecollective close cooperation and collaborating for survivals.
For sustainable developments for the new economical planning need to be initiated now with all strata of societies in each clusters become vibrant communities even for receiving aids etc.beyond economic situations. Like fingers inter dependent each other we must be United seamlessly knitted families and institutes all clusters becoming will avert untoward situations. This is transition period before a vibrant economy that we can all serve together with government

Maaf saya dari masa depan dibulan 12, sekarang anuar dah menjadi pm xsampai lagi 2 bulan kenapa harga barang semua semakin naik? Harga sayur naik harga minyak xturun turun, yg turun hanyalah ron97 tutun 10sen dan gaji pekerja kilang basic dll yang dari rm1500 kenapa diturunkan menjadi basic rm1200 balik? Sebelum anuar menjadi pm haritu dia berjanji bermacam macam kepada rakyat, kata rakyat diutamakan, gaji pekerja basic naik rm2000 keatas, harga barang semua turun, isu ayam dan telur dan banyak lagi, tapi sekarang bila sudah menjadi pm10 kenapa 1 habuk pun tiada? Yang ada hanyalah rakyat kena kencing hancing satu malaysia hahahaha, HOI HOI YA HOI SAPA SOKONG PENYAMUN, DULU BENCI PENYAMUN TAPI SEKARANG SAYANG PENYAMUN, Siap dapat jawatan TPM lagi bukan biasa biasa 😂😂👍🏻

I am watching this again after DSAI is appointed the 10th PM of Malaysia. I was jumping for joy and was practically in tears when it was announced that he was named the prime minister.

It has been a amazing journey…still remember during that time i would literally go for all DSAI perhimpunan refomarsi….after years in years out being an indian im proud to call DSAI as my PM…Being base abroad no one know where Malaysia is sometimes they know Thailand,Singapore even Indonesia but when i say i come from Malaysia where is that…but 1 name that they surely do know is DSAI that how much influence DSAI has…wishing him all the love and success and hope a new chapter is written…and sir i had to travel 17 hours to come and vote for you….Would love to see rafizi being the finance minister…man is pure class. What DSAI said is right i decided to believing in the system and went abroad but finally i may come back to serve my people under him.

Dato Seri I wish our Malaysian students vould speak like these students; they sound very professional. We need to up the education system here. Frankly, most of our educators can hardly speak proper English.

Mahathir created all those tensions between Malaysia and Singapore using the water, railway station and CPF issues during the time when he was facing strong oppositions led by Anwar near the election. Mahathir is a great strategist, creating tensions between Malaysia and Singapore will benefit him. This interview is done while Anwar is the prime minister in waiting and the prime minister then is Mahathir so he can't give his true views that will offend him. It's all a blessing in disguise, according to science and logic, everything happened must has a reason. Anwar's years of imprisonment made him a much better and wiser person. It's all due to his Karma. Malaysia can now look forward to brightness after over 60 years of darkness. Reformasi!! Congratulations to Malaysia.

What a great Q&A and proud to say I had lunch with Datuk Anwar when he was Deputy PM and he was on his private visit to Broome WA . He was easy going and as his flight crew member said , when he was outside Malaysia, he was a different Person. Based on his responses it will be very likely Malaysia Betul Boleh!

The fact that someone asked the question about the tug of war between Azmin Ali and rafizi back in 2018 was just an eye opener. Something that should have been resolved to avoid all the blunder caused in 2020 .
To be the number one leader of the country, you must be perfect in everything; economics, religion, able to give spontaneous public speaking in Bahasa or English, have good relations with foreign leaders, etc. You have everything DSAI!!
