My one has arrived and it's even better than I expected. Simply stunning watch.
It's homaging a 1926 Rolex oyster ( the first, I believe), and i really like it. My only problem is deciding which color.
I have an similar one (same case, same crown, same knerling on the fixed bezel, same movement) in stainless with blue colored hands (not the Bregeut) and roman numerals instead of arabics and I love it.
I'm wearing a Baltany Bronze watch today. It is a fantastic watch. I only saw one review on it on youtube. I'm super impressed with it. It comes on a nice leather strap. This is my first Baltany watch. I said all that to say if all of their watches are of this quality they are doing awesome work.

It’s a lovely thin watch which sits nicely in the wrist .
However they should have given it a quick release strap.
With its high polish case it’s very easily scratched when changing the strap.
This was a great review! I love the vintage look of this watch, I'm thinking of getting one.

Dan from Watch Me With Watches put the cream dial VH31 version on his tan ostrich strap and it looked phenomenal.
After reviewing this one and others of theirs, I've got to say...your title completely sums Baltany up

Great video as usual. Baltany makes great retro/vintage inspired models, and this looks really great even though I usually don't like gold details. Having a 6.5 inch wrist myself this would wear really good on me, but I also think the almost square case fits bigger wrists as well. I mean, vintage watches in the 40/50s were often around 34-35 mm The price is kiiiinda steep IMHO, but I'll have a look at the next AE sale.
They have the vintage / military style watches down better than anyone. But I’m really not into this style. I’m waiting for them to expand their catalog. For example I’ve never been interested in a Submariner Homage, but I’m seriously considering buying theirs. Thanks for the great review as always.

I'm still in love with a bronze case Baltany, cherry dial, fixed bezel with (like) nails on. But in general, they're doing great, no matter what they bring out.

I've been told that cherry dial is made to resemble a porthole on a ship, and it definitely captures that! Cool choice!

Yeah, older watches were polished. They were in fact chromed brass or some other metal.

At Mitch as i love black with gold.... I think the mother of Pearl dial trumps it for me.... Mother of Pearl is just such a great dial surface. That brown band that comes with the mother of pearl one, just doesn't work for me though... Thanks for the video
A bit off topic with a quick question Have you seen that Octopus Kraken has made their Oris big crown in steel finally and that blue dial looks amazing any thoughts on reviewing one of the variations in the near future As for this Baltamy I'm finding it a bit too small in 40 or even 38 mm I might of pulled the trigger It is a beautiful watch and I love they skipped using bronze on the bezel Still a killer review my friend Be well and Stay Frosty my friend 👍
I already have the Octopus blue dial Oris Pointer homage, as well as one of their older bronze versions. They are both super nice, but that blue fume dial takes the cake! It's just about impossible to capture how awesome it is on camera, because the dial actually has a bit of shimmer to it, and changes depending on the light conditions! The case fits your wrist like a glove as well. You definitely won't be disappointed if you decide to get one!

I'm a huge fan of Baltany but there is a mistake they make.
I have two of these 1926 watches and they're great, the brushed steel dial quartz and the mother of pearl manual. Here is the problem:
The manual has a screwdown crown.
If you were to use it as daily, the screw thread will be pretty well stripped in 12 months.
They need to use an automatic movement for these screwdown manuals.

Did you have a look at the Arcange current Kickstarter campaign with their Sector Dial collection? 9.3mm thick manual wind ST17, and a stunning dial?!

@@TheWatcherReviews, if you can give him a shout in the coming days, it's a fellow French watch enthusiast who tries to launch his first timepiece, it's really vintage with a modern twist, extremely thin (9 mm), a small second without a Swiss movement, then really affordable. Think about it!

I love Baltany watches but not keen on this model
I think Baltany are doing great but i have to say, i think its a bit overpriced, even compared to other watches they sell. Good for them, they should keep doing the same thing idk if this is a homage but really, every design is inspired from somewhere. Great review maybe in the next sale ill get myself this one.. 🙂

DON'T buy a baltany watch. My baltany watch completely failed after wearing it 4 times. I contacted baltany requesting their address so I could ship it to them to be repaired / replaced, it has a 2 year warranty. They refused to provide their shipping address and said to have it serviced locally, despite the movement completely failing. Unbelievable, they are NOT a legitimate company. I just ate $150, it went right down the drain !
Unfortunate for u and that's sucks BUT you're one of the few which such a story. This brand is very well known. I have 3 of them and they are great 🤷♂️
If they did this in a quartz, or a Jap movement I'd be all over it. But Chinese movements.....ouch. No hate, just had a couple of bad experiences.
