The whole of Arc 2 of S2 is perfection. The trio of episodes is honestly so far, the best three out of all of Arcane imo. CANNOT wait for your reaction to Episodes 5 and 6!
after finishing Act 2 i went back to rewatch season 1, highly recommend. It made me realize how goated season 1 was compared to season 2. Second season is animated better but if you watch the entire thing through you realize its being used to mask a weaker story. Season 1 was literally the perfect mix of storytelling and animation

That door with Warwick coming across has the same pounding beat as when Caitlyn took power in S2E3 at the end. Ambessa was there for both, and she was a wee scared when she that... Zaun had just unified behind Jinx as a symbol after she broke everyone out. And the Hound of the Underground didn't want to miss that party.

Its scary how hot-wired my sentiment is to this show and certain lines. When one of you said "what could have been" in context to how Vi and Jinx could have kept being sisters, the ending song from season one pops up in my mind and I get ALL the feels. CRAZY
Looking back, it makes sense for Singed to experiment on "dead" Vander from season 1. As far as we know, the kid that Singed and Silco drugged in season 1 was the first Shimmer enhanced superhuman. That kid's corpse was in the exploded building. After Powder triggers the blue magic gem explosion. Vander "died" OUTSIDE after saving young Vi. So their second human Shimmer enhanced specimen was right there on the ground. Singed revived Jinx from practically death using Shimmer. Whether Vander was dead or alive, WE KNOW Singed has been into "the mutation must survive" shit even years before, as seen in Viktor's back story. It's super fucked up... But "preserving" Vander makes complete sense from Singed's perspective.
The situation between the two cities is rough, because... I understand that the people of Piltover are doing this because they feel unsafe? In the weeks leading up to martial law being declared, there were like 6 separate terrorist attacks and an "assasination" according to Ambessa, and the obvious belief would be that more are coming and they need to do SOMETHING to prevent more death But at the same time, those things only happen because of Piltover's history of mistreating the undercity, and now their actions in response are only taking that mistreatment FURTHER You can see in Caitlyn and Maddie the fact that they know they're doing something wrong, that they need to stop this, but their fear and anger won't let them... Yet
Ok…I am apparently WAY to upset/obsessed with this Cait/Maddie moment to let it go…so after many, MANY views, here is what I am seeing now… The very first time Maddie speaks…”Up again?”, Cait seems to have a look on her face like, “Ugh.,..you’re still here???” After that, Maddie tried to hold Cait…and Cait pulls away. Then Maddie tries kissing her with what I am sure is genuine affection for Cait…and as soon as she gets to her neck, Cait’s expression is just “Nope! Not going there!” and pulls away AGAIN! And THEN…Maddie tries to get Cait to see herself as Maddie does….and Cait just gets up and walks away! Then…we have what Cait says. “I never expected this to go on so long. I don’t…I don’t know what I though. Just…it wasn’t this.” Maddie thinks Cait is talking about the Zaun situation and everything, but Cait was CLEARLY also referencing what was going on between them. Cait is NOT invested in things as Maddie is. Maddie is ABSOLUTELY head over heels for Cait…just as Vi is. But at the same time, Maddie also has a bit of “hero worship” going on. It is clear that she will probably do anything Cait says, follow her anywhere, do anything to support her. She wants Cait to see what she sees so much, to support her, to be whatever she needs that she might just be totally oblivious to the fact that she is the rebound….and that is not going to end well for her. But NOW...apparently the head writer has made it known that it was a mutual attraction, though Caitlyn was mostly approaching it from the angle of "what if I dated someone my mom would approve of?". Which for me…having THIS thought in my head just makes it so much WORSE. To know that this is how Cait approached it…because the entire time, Cait just pulls away from Maddie even though it’s obvious they’ve been at this for a while (which still makes me nauseous). Please….I just want my Violyn back!!!!
They kissed once then Cait domestic abused her with a rifle to the stomach. Some self reflection may be in order if you're this invested in a fictional relationship.

I've seen a few reactions believe years have passed with the short time skip montage, I'm under the impression it was a few weeks - a few months. Idk how people are getting years unless it was explicitly stated. I mean take Isha for example of time lapse she's a kid , kids show a lot of growth with years of time passing but she looks the exact same. Or take the memorial for Caitlin's mom if we're assuming the time skip was between seasons a memorial for someone especially a figure head I doubt would take a year to set up , with everything going on and having the statue made , maybe a month couple tops but I'm so lost with the idea "years" have passed.

I think she respected Vander, but once he “made peace” with the Enforcers for Vi and Powder’s sake, she sided with Silco. Funny enough, Silco fell into the same “undoing” of such ambitions because of Jinx. I’m curious if she’ll come to understand that by the end of the show

Act 2 of S2 is actually the act I like the least so far, but the worst of Arcane is still 9.5+/10.
Nah the ending of arc 2 of S2 is a bit tearjerking, but I am pretty sure that arc 3 will solve its issues.
Season 1 ep7 and season 2 ep5 are tied up as best for me and I really thought nothing would come close to Jinx vs Ekko.
