Holy crap! Pigminted, the individual who made that wooden plaque has been someone I’ve followed for a while (specifically on Instagram). I had no idea the Bandai Namco/FromSoftware team got them to work on this kit!! That makes me so proud in a way lol.

it’s so mind-boggling to me that the press-kit box sets, which are easily the versions that most serious collectors would leap at the opportunity to drop thousands of dollars on, are always basically unavailable to the public under any circumstances
YOU FUCKING READ MY MIND! Like so true, I gurantee you that most if not all fans watching this video would definitely, at the very least be interested in this press-kit box set, nevermind the fact that those very same people would go to great lenghts to get one. (Myself included)

Loved when you showed the "extremely rare" press release kit, pointed at the "fragile" label and produced an axe 😂
These are amazing quality items, even the figure in the collectors edition is gorgeous, the way the box unfolds and can be used to display it is a really nice touch.
Don't know what press kits normally look like but this one is incredible. From did an amazing job putting together something to represent this game, I mean how many other kits come with a sword ffs?

Really enjoy watching your videos it is soothing relaxing and calming especially the sounds of how crisp the boxes are when you unwrapped then and reveal the contents of the items you get! but i really do wished that i can and would be able to get one of the collectors items you unbox but sadly i am sure that i wouldnt be able to at all lots of things going on irl ..... But thank you for your videos its always exciting to watch someone else unbox some cool and amazing things that many others cant afford or even buy them selves but i am pretty sure there are lots of individuals such as myself that enjoy watching your content. One day... lol One day!
That sword has me literally drooling…they should do a Limited Run Games style open order for the sword so everyone has a chance to buy! Have the window be 5 days. Watch how many dolla bills will flow in for Bandai
Depending on where you live there's probably nothing stopping you from buying a sword yourself and having it laser etched with whatever you want.
@@raym3239 absolutely true! earlier I was actually skimming Etsy and came across some dope katanas. they look better than the Elden Ring sword shown here, as the inner 40% of some of the blades have intricate paisley/fractal designs (similar to Malenia’s gold design on her super long blade in this collector’s edition).
It's a basic, stainless steel blade with some words etched into it, I hate to be negative, but you can get like 5 of them at a pawn shop and have it laser etched yourself lmao.
@@BespokeSlipp Some are just show pieces but depending on the material (and the brand, though often that is obscure) they can be actually usable for cutting practice/recreational sport.
If you're interested in having a usable one that'll last a while, I recommend looking at Skallagrim's videos on sword buying! Otherwise, just go with whatever you think looks good to you! Can't go wrong with a pretty looking display piece!

I really wish publishers would make more stuff like this and release it to the public. Most collectors edition feel cheap but this press kit seemed like really high quality.

From beginning to end, this was a joy to watch, albeit I'm disappointed that I won't be able to obtain any of the fantastic items.
This is awesome, I think I should try to Buy more collector edition now that I see how amazing this one are. Thanks for showing us this, I appreciated the fact that you show us the contents of those! Also its amazing the details of the items in the collector edition.

I got one of the collector's editions, although the universe was doing everything in it's power to keep me from getting one. I persevered though and am very thankful I got one. Now the press kit on the other hand.... daaaaaamn. They should have made more of those. That was amazing.

I can tell that the sword parts are mass produced in Czech Republic workshop.
Not sure about the blade steel, turn pointing the blade upward, hold the sword properly and with your off hand, smack the pommel as hard as you can, if the blade vibrate well, it mean that it is a proper tempered steel. It will function as real sword once you sharpen it.

Even the fluff merch of Elden Ring is absurdly high quality. The figure alone looks worth the cost of the Collector's Edition and even comes with a perfect diorama display in its box! Jesus, maybe Namco DID know this game was gonna print money, their margins on this stuff must be razor thin... AND they put a display sword in the press kit?!
I got the collectors edition and whilst it’s good quality it’s imo not really worth the £200 it costs. This is purely because the sekiro collectors edition whilst slightly smaller cost £100 and is just as good quality it’s just about an inch or so smaller. So tbh I don’t think it’s worth the cost but it seems it’s par for the course lately as nearly all collector editions I’ve seen have been much higher priced than they used to be but the merch is not really any better, some of it is worse. Look at the new borderlands/Wonderlands collectors edition £170 for a cardboard cut out castle, a plushie and some pins and cards etc that’s ridiculously overpriced lol.

I hate to burst your bubble, but while this is a cool little collectors kit (and very valuable because of what fans would pay for it), it's not high quality. All this stuff probably cost them about $30 to make in total.
@AdoreYouInAshXI hold on you're saying that sword, and the wooden hand crafted carving would cost only 30 dollars to make? For the other stuff I don't necessarily disagree full heartedly but for the time and effort into the wooden piece it's definitely worth a shit ton in its own right

Looks like a stainless steel display sword, probably has a rat-tail tang in the handle so no probably wouldn't kill anybody, would probably snap at the hilt if swung at anything.
