When this first started I was a little worried that this would be another cheesy high school version with flat notes and all that… but oh my this is honestly amazing!! Veronica’s actress is perfect for the role and takes her own spin on it. The rest of the cast really pull the show together and I’m jealous at how talented all of these people are!
i really like how much more unhinged and flat out insane JD was in this production. Lots of people tend to romanticize him and his behavior but this one really emphasizes how manipulative and horrible he is. Very well done 👏
Something interesting with the way JD is portrayed is how he hugs Veronica. Every time he hugs her he drapes himself on her to where she cant not hug back. Its very controlling and a nice touch.

Playing as the gay flag jd put in his pocket was one of the best possibl roles to be, thank you so much for all the love and support I really appreciate it. I hope to play more roles like this in the future. Back in the 80s I played as the cigarette that veronica was holding as jd blew up. It is so nice to be returning in this way. Love you all!!
JD WAS PORTRAYED PERFECTLY! I love maniacal JDs since it captures his personality so well. I loved his range of dynamics, especially in Meant To Be Yours. I personally feel that his breathing for JD suits him better than recordings as his slight breathlessness adds to his sadistic excitement.

Help "dead girl walking" made me fucking emotional with how awesome it was. And THEY WENT FOR IT 😭. But they did her dirty with making her do the high notes WHILE SITTING. I could never😭🖐️
THE FACT this was a community theatre production is wow- everyone was so good in this, IM SHOOK- the acting was brilliant, could b easily on broadway or the west end someday- like- THOSE NOTES are not easy to reach & the acting MY GOSH GOOSEBUMPS. really hoping everyone makes it big someday
I have to give credit to not only the actors, but the band, performing an instrument live can sometimes be harder than singing and performing, in my opinion they did mess up quite a few times (I’m only half way through the opening number-) but for a local theatre to be performing this a live band isn’t even expected, normally there would be a backing track that the sound operator controls, although the use of trombone and trumpet is very extensive to what I have seen (about 6 mins in) and could definitely be dialled down a bit but it is still very impressive to have a live orchestra playing
thank you for this! i played heather duke and my boyfriend was playing the drums in this. it was so insanely hard to overcome how loud the band could get at times with so many mic inputs and speakers so thank you! the band worked really hard
idk why but i loved the way Heather Duke was acting after being pushed by Heather Chandler in "Candy Store". it did something very realistic to it. and it broke my heart ;-; amazing acting choices!
I will say i appreciate how in this version right before dead girl walking, this veronica kept the idea that she had gotten drunk where magically in the off-broadway version she wasnt. excellent work in getting those small details nailed down :)
OMG!!!!! The vocals are so good. The guy one played JD killed Freeze your Brain. The Heathers crushed Candy Store. Veronica killed every song she was in. Kurt and Ram father's are great I loved dead gay son. Shine a light was so good. I just loved all of the energy and all the hype of Heathers!!
As someone who was blessed enough to see this production in person I am so glad I found this! This entire show blew my mind and I am so in love with Heathers because of it!
Thought this was just gonna be another one of those corny ones with bad censoring. But no! Everyone did so great! First time I’ve seen anyone other than Barrett nail those notes! Great job to everyone! I hope that my school does this musical this upcoming year. Everyone in this video has a bright future ahead of them.

This is probably my favorite version of Heathers after the West End! Everyone played their role perfectly, I'm especially fond of Heather Chandler and Veronica, but the others were all up there in quality! Amazing cast, amazing voices. Truly bravo to everyone.

I'm enjoying this! I specially love JD and Heather Duke's performances! JD is so charming and the little changes with how he answers Ram & Sweeney were good . With Heather Duke I really like the way her dynamic with Chandler is shown, like you can see her being hurt by it and how she's on the bottom in the trio which makes it all the more interesting when she takes Heather Chandler's place (this is something that was in the movie but that I don't usually see in the musical apart from the 'shut up heather line').

I loved this and think everybody did great. While the horns struggled a bit, they (and all the other instruments) still deserve an applause because i imagine it’s hard playing live.

Playing as the gay flag jd put in his pocket was one of the best possibl roles to be, thank you so much for all the love and support I really appreciate it. I hope to play more roles like this in the future. Back in the 80s I played as the cigarette that veronica was holding as jd blew up. It is so nice to be returning in this way. Love you all!!

JD WAS PORTRAYED PERFECTLY! I love maniacal JDs since it captures his personality so well. I loved his range of dynamics, especially in Meant To Be Yours. I personally feel that his breathing for JD suits him better than recordings as his slight breathlessness adds to his sadistic excitement.

I LOVED THIS!! Veronica had incredible comedic timing and i love the way JD was portrayed. ALSO KURT AND RAM HAD AMAZING ENERGY IT WAS SO CONTAGIOUS.

also I rly like how JD is portrayed as kinda incel-y and not like a coolguy through the show. Ik he’s portrayed as a bad person through all the shows but his actor rly puts on the PERFORMANCE to SHOW how shitty he is. SO GOOD

Help "dead girl walking" made me fucking emotional with how awesome it was. And THEY WENT FOR IT 😭. But they did her dirty with making her do the high notes WHILE SITTING. I could never😭🖐️

I have to give credit to not only the actors, but the band, performing an instrument live can sometimes be harder than singing and performing, in my opinion they did mess up quite a few times (I’m only half way through the opening number-) but for a local theatre to be performing this a live band isn’t even expected, normally there would be a backing track that the sound operator controls, although the use of trombone and trumpet is very extensive to what I have seen (about 6 mins in) and could definitely be dialled down a bit but it is still very impressive to have a live orchestra playing

Really like how The Heathers and Veronica danced together during Big Fun. It makes her feel more like she is in the clique than the other productions.
idk why but i loved the way Heather Duke was acting after being pushed by Heather Chandler in "Candy Store". it did something very realistic to it. and it broke my heart ;-; amazing acting choices!

OMG!!!!! The vocals are so good. The guy one played JD killed Freeze your Brain. The Heathers crushed Candy Store. Veronica killed every song she was in. Kurt and Ram father's are great I loved dead gay son. Shine a light was so good. I just loved all of the energy and all the hype of Heathers!!

As someone who was blessed enough to see this production in person I am so glad I found this! This entire show blew my mind and I am so in love with Heathers because of it!
Thought this was just gonna be another one of those corny ones with bad censoring. But no! Everyone did so great! First time I’ve seen anyone other than Barrett nail those notes! Great job to everyone! I hope that my school does this musical this upcoming year. Everyone in this video has a bright future ahead of them.
I didn’t even realise that the straw in the seven eleven being dropped wasn’t meant to happen when I watched the broadway version I thought oh! They missed the straw bit 😭

This is probably my favorite version of Heathers after the West End! Everyone played their role perfectly, I'm especially fond of Heather Chandler and Veronica, but the others were all up there in quality! Amazing cast, amazing voices. Truly bravo to everyone.

I specially love JD and Heather Duke's performances! JD is so charming and the little changes with how he answers Ram & Sweeney were good . With Heather Duke I really like the way her dynamic with Chandler is shown, like you can see her being hurt by it and how she's on the bottom in the trio which makes it all the more interesting when she takes Heather Chandler's place (this is something that was in the movie but that I don't usually see in the musical apart from the 'shut up heather line').
