We were PANICKED to say the least! We had some stage crew be prepared with the ogre ears and gloves, it was stressful and of course we got green on Fiona’s dress and our own costumes but hey, we made it in time always!
OK that is true but our school has done Shrek before and there is actually a LONG time from the end of the Duloc song to the start of the Fiona song. After the dancers exit Shrek and Donkey come in and do a whole conversation. And Teen Fiona isn’t on stage until a third of the way in the FIona song. So that is why they didn’t make a those costumes that could be changed in seconds.

It would create a much more dynamic scene than five people waving their arms around. Then you could place some ensemble in the background so they can do vocals
2:39 we once went too a backstage tour at our local theater and they told us the story that during a performance of "Cat's" a dancer got sick and snuck of stage. But unfortunately he was so sneaky that nobody noticed, so the entire theatre got to hear him throwing up.
Once backstage for our middle school musical my friend was talking to me but the mic was on so Matilda was singing naughty and you could hear the wormwoods laughing and saying “hah no she is so good!”

The one that mentions the audience not laughing is so true!! I did a pantomime with my group and on the final night hardly any of the audience were laughing at the jokes (which was odd because every other night people were) and it meant we would get nervous 😭
