On the K Slim u need to put it into the descale mode not just run it like normal with the solution! To get in descale mode u need 2 power it off & hold the 8 Oz & 12 Oz buttons at the same time til the descale light is on steady! Not flashing! Then push the K button & carry on
Is this before you run the rinsing cycles to run the descaling solution and water?

Hey... you don't mention putting the machine into descale mode by turning it off and pressing 8 and 12 oz buttons at the same time. I wasted a whole bottle of descaler liquid. I watched another person's post and they did it right. I'm disappointed
Hey Coral, don’t forget to let your folks know that on some models, if not all, that they should press and hold the two top buttons for 3 seconds, to let the system know that you are about to descale it. I did a whole descaling process, and the descale light stayed on!! I googled “my descale light is still on, now what” and came up with “angryespresso” (where he linked me to your video) and he said that the Keurig doesn’t know that the solution is anything but water, so by doing the press and hold, it tells the system to “pay attention“. Now my machine is descaled AND the light is off!! Yippee
in some models, press the 6 & 10 buttons at the same time to activate descaling mode, then click the 8 oz button to start descaling.
Although I was happy to receive the Slim K Keurig as a gift, I still own an old $9.95 12 cup Sunbeam that NEVER needs OR have ever done a descaling on it. Thanks for the great video.
$1.48 gets you a gallon of white distilled vinegar that's gentler and can be used in a hyperbolic buhzillion ways.

I wasted my descaling solution because you forgot to mention to activate descaling mode by holding the 8 and 12 ounces buttons for three seconds before starting the process

Power the machine off, hold down both 8 and 12oz buttons down like you said until descale butting remains Solid then press K button!!

There’s a descaling mode, if you don’t use that mode to do it then the descale light won’t go off

Not correct from what I researched. With the power off, you hold the 8 and 12 oz button together, and the “descale” light comes on to start descaling process. Also, you have to read the descaling solution. Mine says use 1/2 bottle, not the whole bottle. This video is not the proper way according to online manuals and videos from the manufacturer.
This video is precisely the instructions on the Keurig brand descaling bottle. even same wording just simpler put. You are correct about the descaling mode, however, in order to get the descale light to turn off at end of process. Other than that, my instructions show exactly what she said. It you have a different model than her, or different than the one shown on the box you bought, you will be correct about one of those instructions being wrong!

This is not the way to descale a Keurig. There is a descaling mode. Don't do this with your machine.

All that for a coffee maker that makes 1 cup at a time. My Coffe maker from dollar general makes 10 -12 cups and I just wash it out its easy
Not everyone one needs 10-12 cups of coffee I just have one a day

Who ever spends money on this is a sucker u can just add something natural like vinegar and water
