    I already possess a Chartered Accountant qualification from Nigeria (ICAN). Most of the courses In level 2 and level 3 are courses I have done in my ICAN study. I have just moved to the United Kingdom and I intend to take the AAT Level 4 because I FEEL i have all the foundational knowledge and i need to ace an accounting qualification exam. Moreso with my ICAN Qualification from Nigeria, I am eligible for exemption from 2 levels in ACCA.

    Hi Will, the video was very useful. So, thank you for uploading it. I have been working in finance for last five years, however, I do not have professional finance qualification. Would you recommend me to study AAT level 2 and 3 in order to move to senior finance position or to apply for the roles like Finance officer

    • @Willboardman
      @Willboardman  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would indeed, I would start from level 2 and work your way through to hopefully completing level 4. It would allow you to go for higher positions combined with your experience.

    I have done bachelors degree in economics in 2014 from India and after that i did a diploma in accounting. And also i have done MBA in 2020 from UK. But i dont have any work experience . Now i am living in uk. So i want to get the job in accounting field. Is it possible to do AAT at age of 30 and if yes , which level would you suggest for me?
    Please give me a reply

      It’s definitely not too late at 30 (not even remotely too late) AAT is for any age. If you already have a diploma in accounting I’d suggest starting on the level 3 or 4 qualification.

    • @Willboardman
      @Willboardman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Given your previous qualification and experience it might be better to look at ACCA, they have an exemption calculator which you can use to see if your degree allows you any exemptions for any of their exams.

    what do you advice i have no background but am working in account firm so where do i start?

    • @Willboardman
      @Willboardman  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would recommend starting at level 2, I would nearly always recommend starting at this level. AAT is a building block syllabus so by starting higher you’re effectively saying you know the vast majority of level 2. Now the experience you’ve got is invaluable however you’ll find the accounts systems does the vast majority for you and the skills you’ll learn at level 2 will hugely benefit you going into level 3.

    Hi Will, i failed my AAT level spreadsheet exam and got borderline for my results. I am finding it hard to find content to help me study. I have fone over the practice assessment on the Portal. On my last exam it eas talking about goal seek , forecast for next 3 months ect.
    Need to do my exam before 30th September 2023 as the syllabus is being withdrawn. I will have to wait 5/6 weeks for results 😭😭 what are my options if i dont pass but have passed all exams including synoptic exam? I am stressing about it 😭😭

    • @Willboardman
      @Willboardman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! So what I would say is definitely cover those areas that came up last time that you weren’t sure on because it’s very possible they may appear again.
      Now if for whatever reason this time around it isn’t a pass, you’d pay the reduced fee to transfer to Q22, you’d then need to sit two exams which are the business awareness exam and you’d unfortunately need to sit management accounting techniques which is basically combed costing and excel exam. So it’s less than ideal so put everything you’ve go into this resit however if it doesn’t come back as a pass don’t panic it’s still possible to complete the qualification.

    Hi Will, I have a BSc in Accounting and Finance, do I need to have an AAT qualification and if yes, what are the benefits of having an AAT qualification since I already have a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance? I'm aspiring to start an accounting practice soon. FYI I live in London and I have graduated from SOAS, University of London

    • @Willboardman
      @Willboardman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! So what I’d say qualification wise you probably wouldn’t need to do AAT given your degree. Equally you could do AAT and then open an AAT practice (which would fit into plans to open your own practice), as of yet have you got any experience within an accountancy practice?

      Always the way unfortunately! Theory vs Practical, it’s one of those where being able to do the actual job and gain the experience will outweigh passing a theoretical exam. But gaining the qualification and having that certificate just makes life easier applying for jobs.
