Hey George, new to the channel and I’m loving your content. I know a lot of the things you’ve said in your videos, but you have said things that were new to me. Great channel, keep it up
For me, last fall, the mistakes I made were underestimating how much grass seed the birds in my area could gobble up, and trying to throw more seed down in my remaining bare spots when the soil temps were already dropping too low, so I wasted some seed. Spring overseed helped, but I gotta deal with some poa annua now. I'm in the overseed or use prodiamine conundrum lol. I'm relatively happy with the thickness so I'm gonna try the pre-emergent.
Great points ben thank you so much for sharing. I too tried to seed my bare areas from my reno last year in spring but didnt have much success with the kbg, good new is its coming in good now!
Found your channel accidently but loved it and binging on it. I bought a new home 4 months back and the backyard and front lawn were just mulched, no weed fabric under it. Now its full of overgrown weeds. I will cut and then put round up to clear up the weeds. Since I have mulch, if I want to throw in weed and seed from scotts, should I remove the mulch?
Great to hear! Congrats on the new home 🎉 I’m order to stop the weeds in the mulch beds you will have to apply a preemmergent which will prevent them from growing. A popular one is called preen, you can get it at Walmart. Apply it every spring and fall and it will take care of most of the weeds. For the few that still come just spot spray them with round up and you be all good
