It's good to see a sedan review. I would take this over the hatchback.

I just ordered one of these for myself. When I test drove it, I absolutely fell in love with it. I loved the look, the handling, the kick the engine has. I wanted a very professional looking car that wasn't too expensive, and the mazda 3 sedan fit the bill perfectly. The ONLY issue I found is mostly unique to me. I am well over six feet tall, and I am very comfortable in that. Despite that, if anyone needs to sit behind me, they have no leg room. So, if I am driving any more than two adults, one person is getting squished. As I said though, very unique to me and most people won't have as much of an issue.

I have a 2023 base Turbo. I am glad I got it because they no longer sell a base Turbo. This is actually a good deal and you should be able to get $500 to $1000 off msrp easy. For the haters on here… this ride is MADE in Japan. This isn’t cheap to manufacture and is worth every penny.

Beautiful winter day along the Wasatch Front. My only disappointment, no stick, no manual transmission. I like to grind through the gears.

Definitely a much classier looking sedan than a Honda Civic Touring, or a Toyota Corolla. The Civic is now more mature, but still has hints of being more juvenile, the Toyota Corolla looks pretty decent but it's powertrain is pretty gutless, no I didn't mentioned the GR Corolla because it's way too expensive. The Mazda 3 sedan turbo is the compact sedan for mature buyers who want to enjoy European road manners without the European high price of entry sedans. Only makor weakness is the price of entry for the turbo model is a bit steep. If I were on the market for a classy looking mature compact sedan this Mazda 3 turbo sedan would be my number one choice 👍.

I own 2019 awd non turbo and a 2023 awd p plus turbo. Both are exceptional cars for the money but the Turbo is fun as hell. Highly recommend it.

I had the '21 CX30 turbo and it was torquey, quiet and luxurious! I miss it, but the oil issue kept popping up. Hopefully they sorted that out by now.

I owned this car in a platinum quartz, 2.5 turbo sedan and man, I still miss those days when I was behind that wheel…I own now CX-30, nothing against it, love my CX-30 too, but I’d still take Mazda3 Turbo, it’s just more luxurious and more fun..CX-30 is a bit more practical with extra height clearance..I even chose Mazda3 Turbo over Audi A3 base..

I went into the dealership wanting the sedan but I ended up getting the Hatchback turbo. Why? Basically it came down to two things I play a lot of hockey and golf and the hatchback makes life easier getting stuff in and out. The other major reason is the Hatch Backs are made in Japan, the Sedans are made in Mexico. Nothing against Mexican factories but I will chose Japanese made every single time if the choice is mine. Its a very fun car to have as a daily driver, I have been impressed with it handles itself in snow as well.

Ben, I mentioned this to you previously. When announcing the power output for the 2.5 liter, four cylinder, turbocharged engine, it would appreciated (and more accurate) if you would please reveal the horsepower nd torque figures for both regular and premium gasoline. With premium fuel, the 2.5 turbo puts out 256 hp and 320 lbs/ft of torque. On regular gasoline, the horsepower and torque figures are significantly less: 227 horsepower and 310 torque. 29 less horsepower and 10 lbs/ft torque are enough to affect performance and cause me to buy premium gas. Ben, you're one of the best reviewers on TH-cam (if not the best), and I am a LT subscriber and follower. I believe these numbers are big enough to warrant mention at the beginning of your road test. Thanks, hermano.

      You didn’t ask, but I’d suggest the CX-50 over the Cx-5 if you’re cross shopping with a 4Runner. Cx-50 can tow 3500 pounds vs CX-5’s 2000. 4 Runner can tow 5000. 😅 CX-50 appears to be around 20 grand less though 🫠

I wish $35 was economy car money to me. You add tax title and license. Put down $5,000. You still have a car payment of around $700 plus insurance fuel and maintenance. That is not economy cost for a entry level car. As nice as the Mazda is. Is it a grand a month nice. Not to me.
