Now my great grand daughter calls them Band-Maid's grandpas. Both the guitarists sing. These younguns can really lay it down.
Guitarist and bassist is born 1965. Drummer a couple of years younger. They are heading for 35 years anniversary as a band 2024 I think! Hyped for that. Got the 30 anniversary CD and it is awesome! There is an all female band that have played a couple years longer: Show-Ya. Try their new song Eye to Eye. The members are older then Ningen Isu but still rocks You socks off.
The drummer is dressed as a Japanese Mafia (Yakuza) criminal of the 1970ies, the guitarist as a philosopher of the 1600ies, the bassist as a monk. There are plenty of other great songs at YT. Typical is "Baptism". Check the old MV (the bassist having long hair) and compare it with the new live version of 2015. You may also like "Namahage", "At the Mountains of Madness", "The Color of Space", etc.

Japanese Metal: Not popular in Japan because it's Metal. Not popular in America because it's Japanese. I hope both of those things change. But it is what it is. You should react to 'Usseewa' by Ado. It's not metal or even rock. But it's HEAVY. It means STFU. It was controversial in Japan. There is at least one very good Metal Cover but honestly it doesn't need it. One of the best songs ever made. It was made by an unknown highschool girl. Her first song. She's super famous now. It has 240 million views on TH-cam in less than 2 years.
The Drummer has the equivalent of a Masters in Music Theory... thats why he's that good...
