The Drummer has the equivalent of a Masters in Music Theory... thats why he's that good...

Glad you appreciate them. They are known to write songs with very deep Buddhist leanings. They are also known to be the Black Sabbath of Japan.

This is a very large and deep rabbit hole to explore. Ningen Isu releases albums quite regularly.

Glad you found them, and glad I found you when I was looking for them! My grand daughter introduced me to this band in about '91. She was coming back from Japan and they were the 'new thing'. Now my great grand daughter calls them Band-Maid's grandpas. Both the guitarists sing. These younguns can really lay it down.

Guitarist and bassist is born 1965. Drummer a couple of years younger. They are heading for 35 years anniversary as a band 2024 I think! Hyped for that. Got the 30 anniversary CD and it is awesome! There is an all female band that have played a couple years longer: Show-Ya. Try their new song Eye to Eye. The members are older then Ningen Isu but still rocks You socks off.

Iconic band. They're not any older than Metallica or Loudness.

The guitar player and bass player met in intermediate school cause they were Kiss fans.
    Yeah. They're old.

    They're in their mid-late 50s I think.
They've been performing since the late 80s.

Btw. The band name is pronounced "nin-gen is" ("g" as in guard, the "u" in isu is mute).

The drummer is dressed as a Japanese Mafia (Yakuza) criminal of the 1970ies, the guitarist as a philosopher of the 1600ies, the bassist as a monk. There are plenty of other great songs at YT. Typical is "Baptism". Check the old MV (the bassist having long hair) and compare it with the new live version of 2015. You may also like "Namahage", "At the Mountains of Madness", "The Color of Space", etc.

Shabba dabba dia indeed! I love this band and this song. Them old timers can really rock eh? Glad you did this reaction but I see by the lack of views that this band aren't as popular as they should be. Sorry about that...I kinda thought this great song might get more views for your channel than this has gotten so far. It just goes to show that there is a lot of great music that just isn't popular with the masses. I'll try to pick songs that will bring more views in the future. Here's one that seems to be really really popular...not my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Here is Electric Callboy (formerly Eskimo Callboy) with the song Hypa Hypa (th-cam.com/video/75Mw8r5gW8E/w-d-xo.html). Cheers!

I'm sick of Americans saying 'old-timers', if they were OLD & acted old then fair enough but none of these dudes are even 60 & they kick f**ken arse!
    Age is Nothing!

Japanese Metal: Not popular in Japan because it's Metal. Not popular in America because it's Japanese. I hope both of those things change. But it is what it is.
You should react to 'Usseewa' by Ado. It's not metal or even rock. But it's HEAVY. It means STFU. It was controversial in Japan. There is at least one very good Metal Cover but honestly it doesn't need it. One of the best songs ever made. It was made by an unknown highschool girl. Her first song. She's super famous now. It has 240 million views on TH-cam in less than 2 years.
