As a vegetarian I have watched almost all of your videos and enjoyed and adapted many recipes you've showed. But thank you for remembering us :D cant wait to try the quinoa chickpea and sweet potato! Looks yum!!
Hubby was looking over my shoulder as I watched this (I had earphones on so he was only catching the action, not hearing it lol) & he said "mmmm that looks ok, what's that"? He saw the Quinoa curry part. I said "it's a lovely curry" he says "we'll have to try that" & I'm giggling to myself because I love vegetarian & vegan food & sneak it in as often as I can & he had no idea it was meatless....winning! Thanks Sara Lynn 👍🏻😘
Tracey Zvirblis Did you stick to the quinoa curry recipe exactly? How many portions did the recipe make? I want to make this next week, but I'm afraid it's not going to be enough. I once made one of her recipes and it was waaaaay to little food. I want to make 5 portions and I only want to serve it with a piece of naan.
A piece of advice for everyone, soak lentils overnight as it will significantly reduce the cooking time (from 4-5 hours in open pot to 35min in pressure cooker)
As a Indian, I approve of your recipes, big fan of your channel. India has all kind of food variety :), In dal we add "tadka' which is oil with Mustard and Asafoetida ofcourse Red chilli powder and green chilli :) that is perfect for me. hope to see you in recipes sometimes too. Love you and Keep it up (y)
yeah that's true India is the land of spices and during my visit to India I really enjoyed their cuisine, now all the food I cook is Indian inspired !! 🍞🍖🍎🍏🍐
Though the tadka it tempering varies from place to place. The best part of cooking is if you change the spice in tempering, flavours will be changed....
Hey Sara! LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos! Like your twist on Indian flavors. Here are a few suggestions: 1. Swap oil in "Cumin Rice" with Ghee. This just elevates the taste so much that you dont even need the broth! 2. Top off the Daal with some Cumin and Mustard seeds crackled in oil. 3. The Cumin Rice actually makes a perfect pair with Daal! 4. Swap the yogurt topping on Daal with a drizzle of Ghee!
you're such a sweetheart... you published a non-vegetarian recipe, and then instead of thanking you people start requesting vegan recipes... and here you go with a totally vegetarian menu! you are truly inspiring and not just for your cooking
I'd love to see some more quick, easy, and/or cheap vegetarian recipes in the future :D I'm the only vegetarian in my house, and a relatively new cook, and your videos have been a super big help. Thanks a ton for having so many options.
I love that your meal prep serious have a theme so that you can enjoy different set of flavors each week yet the flavors go together well! Could the next flavor be one of the Chinese, Korean, or Japanese? I would love those first of all, because I'm Korean, but mostly because they'll be the recipes I can try out! It is hard to find lots of the spices and fresh herbs in where I live :( I still love watching your videos nonetheless, especially for inspiration, and I try to make some of them if the ingredients are easily accessible to me :D Thanks for the great video!
thx you so much for your meal prep recipes they help greatly on weekends when im doing festivals and craft shows. Most of my meals are the ones you put together in a jar! perfect in my ice chest of goodness!!!! thx from New Orleans, Louisiana
I just made the Quinoa Curry and it smells and tastes so delicious. So much flavour and so easy! My neighbour even popped in and asked what the delicious smell was
I tried the cucumber mint salad today!!!! Sooooooo tasty nd refreshing.. my mom appreciated me a lot saying it's. almost to restaurant sort of dish.... luv u tons........
Please add half a teaspoon of asafoetida powder whenever you cook dhall. It helps with digestion for those can't tolerate dried legumes. I love your meal preps.
Omg I just made the slow cooked Daal dish!! Its so good, me and my partner really enjoyed it. Domestic Geek I'm so obsessed with your recipes, i have tried so many and they never fail to impress how amazing they are!!
I loved the Indian spices inspired recipes you created. Will surely give them a try especially the quinoa curry. My only concern is you didnt mention anything about cleaning the rice, grains, lentils or daal before use as they cant be used directly. It needs to be rinsed of any starch or dirt. Thanks for all the amazing recipes you create. They never fail!
I made the quinoa curry, except with brown rice since quinoa is quite pricey. I also couldn't find garam masala, so I just used curry paste and curry powder. It turned out really good! Thank you for the recipe!
Anthony Pignanelli YES!! Like lunches that don't necessarily require refrigeration (like an ice pack is all most students have access to) and no heating
These all look so good!! I want to make them all, following the link now to buy that eBook. Just a thought though, as so many chickpeas were used; Have you seen all the things you can do with the aqua faba (the liquid from the can)? It's basically an egg white substitute. You can make vegan meringue, vegan royal icing, use it in frappuccinos for extra aeration and volume, even some vegan cookies and cakes can use it whipped up as an emulsifier/binder/aerator. Though as a warning, vegan meringues tastes amazing but do last passed about 3 days, they get a bit chewy and have a slight sour after taste passed the third day, safe to eat, but not as tasty.
thank u so much! finally full vegetarian meal prep. also being an indian i liked few things where u have added your touch instead of completely following the recipe. please add more vegetarian prep, breakfast and lunch recipe
I'm from Southern India and you totally nailed this menu... Awesome! Simple and tasty.. I wanted to know if it will be possible to do a South Indian meal prep
Hi, Greetings from India.I am a big fan of you and your videos. A small tip- instead of adding lime juice to the rice, just throw in a lime peel when the water boils just before u add the rice.this helps rice grains not stick to eachother
Hi, Sara. Those vegetarian dishes look really beautiful. You are one of the most thoughtful cooks on TH-cam. What do you love about curry? Have a good weekend, Sara. 💖💖💖

A lot of people like vegetarian food if you don't tell them it is meatless. Unfortunately people are often biased.

I love that all the recipes can easily be made vegan! Thank you!
A piece of advice for everyone, soak lentils overnight as it will significantly reduce the cooking time (from 4-5 hours in open pot to 35min in pressure cooker)
soak and freeze dal before cooking will reduce even more time!
+Ping HUANG (黃苹) not sure about it . even if you stir fry the dal ( no oil) before soaking it will have a beautiful flavor
Will you do a vegetarian/vegan meal prep that is Mexican food inspired???? Please!!!
that would be perfect ^^
I love mexican cuisine and it is so perfect for vegetarian/vegan food as well because of all the legumes :)
Omg yes!!
Cristina Diaz Yes!!! I'm even willing to settle for vegetarian/vegan Tex-Mex!
Made Daal and it was soooo incredibly delicious. I omitted the chili flakes. Even my picky 2year old loved it. Thank you Sara!!!
