This is great to know. The video was funny, and here in the USA, my friends and I do the same. We usually split the bill, but when I was dating, the guys I would go out with would usually pay, but I wouldn’t mind paying either if they were short on money. One time, I was out on a date and felt bad because I knew the bill would be a lot, so I told the guy that I was going to the bathroom, and I paid the bill. We are now happily married for 13 yrs.

this is a great and funny video - my experience in the u.s. has been that with guy friends we either split it or i paid - and as for dating, i usually had to pay for everything - i don't mind though, i guess...even though i find it generous for a man to at least pay his own way...as far as going home, guy friends were polite enough to always make sure i made it home safely - but friend to friend...male, female, whoever, we always checked to make sure everyone made it home safely...it's common courtesy

But on a serious note tho this just shows ( at least from my experiences) to me that Canadian guys treat their girlfriends the same as Korean guys treat their friends, which is a little depressing.
Often in the States it's reversed. You friend girl is one of they guys and so treated fair, girl friends often have it harder because men have to prove they are in charge.
In a lot of different cultures there are a lot of men that separate, the way they treat a girlfriend and their female friends. But some don’t do that and that is where the problems start.

Sad to hear and see the difference. It's not gentle men like. Female is female. Whether it's your GF or BFF. See women as an extension of your mom. Always be kind and attentive to women. You don't have to pay everytime but sometimes is ok. Going Dutch is also fine as BFF's. If you don't bring your BFF home and she gets raped or murdered, how would you feel? If your BFF needs help with something in the house (hanging up painting or plumbing issues etc.) would you help?
