Wth are you advocating?. This is wrong because I've had people gone due to this exact situation. Are we at the level where we don't have to show compassion to one who want to be with us when we don't feel the same?. The right way would be to not give them any hope but convince them to take therapy/counseling, that's how you show them that what they believe is not the ultimatum and that they still have options. That there's life after us. You can choose to ignore but isn't it too cruel for someone that wants to be with you?. I'm more upset that this has 100 likes. Our society has become very depressing tbh.

@@suraangel6956 While you're right but there are also people who genuinely thinks that their whole life revolves around their partner, hence, when they say something like that out of desperation, they'll mean it.
The point is, it's up to us to identify the kinda person you're with and if he/she the kind that manipulates to get what they want or meant what they said.
At that stage you should know the kinda person your partner is to know what to do. I just hope our society don't turn blind eye on those who needs us.

The acting was on point, but I am glad you made this video. I've dated someone who went into the army, and he changed after it. I didn't know who he was, and he left me with no reason.

I would say, if you're not already married would be smart to breakup before going in. If the feelings are the same after he gets out maybe rekindle the relationship.
If your status does not survive a measly 1 1/2 year and kind of longer distance relationship with some visits here and there, I´d say single is the better option for you.
I can not lie I cried in basic training but only because of a family tragedy a family member died and I did not get to say goodbye.
So sad for poor guys :’( I think love is also waiting sometimes and not only the good time but also the bad times but always together :)

I waited 4 years for a guy, he was in another country, during the 4 years we have seen each other for about 3, 4 times... I didn't cheat on him, he was the only one for me... But, guess what, he didn't appreciate it😔. .. We broke up eventually, even if we were in the same city... That the life and people... 🤷♀️🤦♀️

Another great video. This topic is so relevant. In my younger days I was in several long distance relationships and obviously you don't need to be in another country to experience it. I would still get into another one if the right Asian guy came along. Of course it's so much easier for everyone now with the internet. I didn't have that when I experienced my first long distance relationship (I was 18...wow, 43 years ago). Yikes, well, call me young at heart. I've always been a hopeless romantic (okay hopeful), and I highly recommend sticking it out to see where it takes you. The journey is as important as the destination. Stay safe my friends. No. Just literally haven't found him. I've had Asian friends and coworkers but none that went into anything serious. I was married a long time back. He wasn't Asian (maybe that's why it didn't work). But I have been searching on and off since, both locally and Internationally. It's easier for the younger ones. There's more to pick from, most aren't married, no children and their free to travel. I'm coming up to retirement in 10 years or so. Hard to find someone like me who doesn't have a lot of ties to family. Even at an older age, family can still come between you although it's likely to be children or grandchildren instead of parents.

Many, many, many years ago, I was in the military (for a short period of time) and I remember when I went through boot camp and AIT training watching all the break-ups that happened all throughout out. I would see girls come in just totally in-love with their boyfriends, and then the complete opposite by the time they were midway through training. Total soap opera. lol. Thanks for sharing this. Gave me a good laugh.

I was in a relationship with someone in the military, 2 years he spent trying to get me to date him, I delayed because of his mum and my medical issues . I finally gave in, we dated for a year, he then finished with me by txt, using my medical issues and his mum as the reason.

Very sad to hear but I get why it happens. I'm confused on the reading in secret though? Is it looked down upon for men in Korea to show those kind of emotions? It's kinda funny I found your video just today on random suggestion. I clicked cuz of the topic and the fact that you look quite like my first love lol He was Korean and had a long distance dating? We could get to meet in real life just a bit before he left for military. And yes, we became distant after he enlisted. But that was 15 years ago and we were quite young. He lost 2 years of his life and wanted to regain what he could once he got out. I was sad but as I said..we were young and it's better for him get his life back doing what he wanted to.
Anyway, thank you for the video. It's informative and useful...also made me feel nostalgic watching it. Your chanel is interesting. I'll watch your other vids later :D

So can they sign up for another tour if they want to stay in the military? In the States some stay for the benefits and because it's easier than going back to civilian life. In the U.S. once their time is up that can sign up to stay I think it's four years at a time.

i got dumped because he told me that he was going to the military and that it wont work out but it was a lie he didnt want me to go because he had another girlfiend who he was dating for years which i didnt knew so he broke up with me with a simple excuse thats its not gonna work but that wasnt the reason reason was his other girlfriend was gonna go visit him he was affraid his girlfriend was gonna know he a cheater and was affraid his girlfriend was gonna go the same day as me little did he knw he broke up with me without knowing i carried his baby he found out when his friend told him when he came out but when he found out i carried his baby it was late i moved out two months after he entered the military so from korea i moved back to Mexico because he didnt want to see me again i was 17 when that happened had my child never knew about him until 2 years later he contacted my mom thats the reason when i go to korea i dont date boys who are 29 or 30 i dat boys below that age
