I just spoke with rugged ridge, after installing this on a jeep with no mods under the hood. This is more of a dirt trail snorkel. It does not have waterproof fitment out of the box. You will need to seal it yourself. Even though it comes with a high and low mount, it is not meant for high water traversing.
Can you explain further please? From the video it seemed to be very sealed, even using silicon and Christmas tree clips, I cannot see where water would come in via this snorkel??
@@DuzBeeyou would need to add sealant to all of the joints, RR will never give an absolute water rating for this but it would be fine with care taken on the install.
I like the low mount look much better, but don't want to hinder the benefits of adding the snorkel by going for that look. I rarely ever do deep water crossings, so this is really for the cooler air and dust reduction in my case. Will the low mount snorkel provide similar benefits in cooler air as well as reducing dust getting into the air filter?
I too would like to see that as I want my exhaust tuned into the good kind of air flow for lack of better mechanical terms. Basically, can one achieve spunkyier with this snorkel and other air related components?
no one would, this is a gimmick for performance, this is not a proper CAI and even proper one is almost undetectable performance gain on the dyno... it is all in your head 🙂, I am assuming loss of aerodynamics with that square pipe on your windshield would negate any possible gain. the best part of this setup is that you can install the high snorkel only when you are going to be in a situation where it is needed.
Hello, I have KC lights with brackets they came with on the cowl. Would I be able to still have a KC light on that side and be same level as the driver side with this product?
I prefer when things look symmetrical .. do you think you can make a bracket to add small offroad light at the base and do a similar base for the other side (without the chimney) that would accept the light for the other side? In other words, both side will have the same base, passenger side brings cold air to the air filter.. that side will have a spot light at the base. For the driver side, same base with a spot light, and the air will just cool the engine bay. I also prefer a color match snorkel. In a slim shape.. the only thing that bugs me is that the snorkel start rectangular then become cylinder for a coupe of inches and the rectangle again. How bout just rectangle all the way up? Is it compatible with limb risers?

I saw someone on your page post a pic of this snorkel with a KC Pro6 lightbar. How? I hve the snorkel, but I can’t figure how to have both unless the base for this is modified to fit over the light bar bracket.
Hi good day, is it okay to have it here in canada, specially were leaving in winnipeg were winter is long and so cold? Can it affect the performance of the JL? Thanks and more power
It's the same snorkel. The AmFib complete low & high mount snorkel system retails for $599.99 www.quadratec.com/p/rugged-ridge/xhd-snorkel-system-jeep-wrangler-jl-gladiator-jt/hi-low-mount-snorkel-system-jl-jt

There appears to be plenty of clearance to drop the windshield once you remove the high snorkel and leave the low one in place. I had the same question in my head when I looked at this part on the website.
So glad they finally came out with a snorkel that you don't have to cut into your jeep.
Agreed, not having to cut into the hood is a very nice feature!

I like the look of the short snorkel. Especially if it is body colored like their SEMA version.
I totally agree

Negative!! The installation cost more than the snorkel! Almost twice as much!

Is there any risk of engine hydrolocking or water getting into the engine with this snorkel? High profile one is what I am interested in.
I’ve preordered with Quadratec. Hopefully it ships soon.
We just received a shipment in from Rugged Ridge! They should be shipping as soon as they get checked into the warehouse.
Is it paintable?? It would look much better if it was the same color as the Jeep.
Jose Rodriguez To me it look better in black match the mirror
I agree,,, my JLUR is white & I'd much rather have a body color matching snorkel...
Yes! Just take it to your local body shop 👍🏻
It seems they improved the quality a little bit, the first installation video out was just horrible, gaps everywhere.
No its actually junk
Do you guy's have a version of that one for the jk wrangler? It looks easy and simple to install than the other one's i've seen for the jk!👋😎👍
Nice clean look just check prices the full set 159 if want low / high or just low profile it’s 600 ?? Big price difference??
What blocks the side port when attaching the full height snorkel?
That part they took off blocks it. It looks like a side vent, but it is solid, I believe.
Will this snorkel fit on a 2021 Jeep gladiator Mojave??

How does it effect the car when washing your car and heavy rain? will it drip into the air-intake?
I like the low mount I wish they had this for jk ...
Blocks A-piller lights and rack mounts.
Can this be used with aftermarket air boxes that have similar placement/build to the stock box.
finally a Sting GRAY

Anything for the wk2's?
Need something like that for the TJ
Gobi roof rack still fit?
How about the diesel motor? Is there a snorkel for it?
Is it absolutely necessary to take out the ambient air tube? Seems like its an unnecessary step.
Never mind, I just installed the kit. The ambient air tube must come out or it will interfere with the Drain valve.
Were can i buy one for me
we're can! buy one for my jeep gladiator
I wish they had that for the JK!
How does it work with A pillar light bar mounts?
This is really cool. Curious, is the air temp the same when it's just the cowl section without the long snorkel as well?
So, the foam block doesn't go back in, even cut to fit? Or is it in there and you just didn't show it?
Will this be able to pair with the mopar cold air intake if I choose to get both??
How does the low profile seperate the water if it doesn’t have the same design from the high one ?
CANT WATER GET IN THROUGH THE LOW MOUNT INTAKE?
Will it work with light bars brackets on each side (fish bone brand) holding my front 50" light bar?. Thanks
Hey there. Really interested in this product, will it fit a R/H drive gladiator? I'm in Australia
I worry it would reduce your viewing angle in Australia.
Cool install. Odd question. What is make & part number of the antennae? I really would like that in my 2018 JKU Rubicon.
Are diff breathers needed also? If so can you do a video on how to install the ARB diff B.
Designing one for the 3.0 liter diesel?
Yeah need one for my diesel too!
Any idea how this would fair threw a touch less car wash ?
I believe a touch less would be ok, but a rag slapper will rip it right off
Where can I find same exact one for the Mojave?
How can I install it if i have a KC Gravity Pro6 lightbar?
Any plans on a snorkel kit for the Mojave edition? or where to find one at
Are the temperature readings the same in the lower configuration? I picture they wouldn't be as cool as the high configuration because of the angle.

Yes my dad has ony on his TJ
Do they make this for the Gladiator JT Diesel???
I’m looking for One of these but for a 3.0 Eco-diesel where can I found one do you carry one or do you have something I can install
I got mine on Amazon. Rugged Ridge 17756.31 AmFib Low/High Mount Snorkel System; 18-Current JL, 20-Current JT
Do it work with the k&N cold air intake ?

Wish the turbine style dust prefilter was offered for this snorkel. 🙁
