Knowledge is power and one piece of information lives in my head rent free: The ancient greek had 7 different words for love, because there are different types of love. Many people reduce love to just being romantic, which is not true at all. Love goes beyond that! You can love your family, friends, pets, hobbies, nature, art, etc. Sometimes I've been in denial of being aromantic, because there is a hopeless romantic living in my head and oftentimes I find myself wanting a romantic partner (as a concept more than actually). But there is enough love in my life to be fullfilling without romance. I get that the comment from your friend hurt. Though, don't let it get to you when you know it isn't true! There is more than romance and maybe you can tell your friend how you see it, your experience with love and that their comment hurt. (If you want to ofc. Maybe you'll expand their horizon with your perspective) I wish you the best in your life, from one fellow aro to another
Maybe random, possibly weird, but whatever: As an aroace non binary person that just found your channel with this video, I wanna say I think you're very aestheticly pleasing ✨️
same, when i tell other ppl (especially if they're not queer) that I'm aroace, 1) I just shorten it to ace, 2) I say that unless I find someone I like romantically ill just call myself ace (the odds of that happening are very low but it makes it more digestable towards cishet ppl :\)
Hello! First time on your channel. I was literally looking at you and realised how impossible it was to tell your gender and then noticed the enby flag in the bg lolz
9:20 Honestly yes! I'm asexual and probably demiromantic (fell in love for the first and only time at 24, still going strong 3 years later ☺️) so definitely fall under the umbrella, but memes like "why would anyone need a partner when you could have _" are kind of alienating to me... Now I get that 'strict' aroaces get alienated by society all the time, so I don't blame them I guess, but yeah a little more understanding from all sides would be nice :)
I've been identifying as aromantic for 2 years now but I'm also questioning if I'm bi I like women sometimes more than men I'm not in a relationship with anyone but if I was a girlfriend/ female queer platonic partener would be ideal
I'm not aromantic, I think. I had crushes. like two times in my life. I can have them, that I know, for sure. I know I am ace, s*x repulsed ace. I also know that I'm a lesbian, but I seldom have any romantic attraction. The cases when I feel romantic attractions are so rare that I sometimes question my romantic orientation. But I do long for those typical romantic activities, so I am a bit confused.😅 Maybe, I'm grey romantic?
Yeah, there really isn't a whole lot of representation for aro/aces, that is at all directly stated/hinted at that i'm aware of either. Most recent I know of was Big Bang Theory's Sheldon character, who was an amalgamation of autism and aro/ace. I kinda just stopped watching TV and Movies entirely since before that TV series finished out though, so there's probably more that i'm just not aware of. I'm sure there was probably a decent amount in like Anime/cartoons/etc, I just never really cared for anime, cartoons and comics growing up.
I have an ace friend and he hit me recently with the "so you can't love?" and that hurt.

The men should marry each other if it's so great for them, the women can go enjoy garlic bread and vegan dino nuggets.

4:48 I have no friends I see reguarly so it is impossible for me to know if I am demi aroace or just aroace
In my headcannon sonic the hedgehog is areoace. I prefer that to all the ships that dude gets ans its ACTUALLY in character for him
10:33 BTW what was your orientation anyway? You’ve shown us your girlfriend that’s all I know.
they said they are ace, and iirc on the aro spectrum
For the first meme, just say you're not interested. Instead of making it about you.
