  • Here is a new video !!
This is a R-910 abandoned model train produced by Märklin between 1938 and 1955.
I bought it at a flea market.
Each part was pretty much seized.
The engine was totally blocked and I thought I couldn't bring it back to life...
I spent one entire day trying to fix it.
The front and rear counterweights were originally riveted then I had to make threads to fix them again.
I found some pictures of old labels on the internet.
Please watch till the end to see this Pre-war rusty locomotive in action !
By supporting the channel you help me make more of these video and find more amazing items.
I hope you'll enjoy this restoration.
Thanks a lot for watching !

I have those modern H0 Märklin model trains and my 1-year old son got a (wooden) BRIO steam engine and he loves it. But I too must admit that those old scale 0 trains do have a special charm.

Fantastic restoration! It's incredible to see the transformation of the Märklin R-910, especially knowing it was abandoned and seized when you found it. The effort you put into restoring each part, from unblocking the engine to fixing the counterweights, really shows your dedication and skill. The use of old labels to bring it back to its original glory is a great touch. Loved watching it come back to life at the end of the video. Oh boy! Does this ever bring back memories!!!!! (I'm older than dirt) And you made it look brand new. It's very beautiful and I love seeing it on those old tracks. I remember "helping" my older brother set up similar tracks at Christmas time. I don't remember all of the kinds of trains he had but they were beautiful like yours.

Because I have watched all of your videos at least 3 times each, I decided to see what other toy restorers have to offer. Many copy your style of shooting to a "T", but none come close to your craftsmanship. Great job once again. Cheers.

No idea why this hit my feed today, but it is enjoyable!
I used to repair/rebuild/refurbish old toys like this for a specialty toy shop in Great Falls, Montana, US. Did that from around 2002 till 2006. I don't know if the shop still exists. Haven't been back to Montana since then.

Another excellent restoration. I’ve always wondered about your transfers, is it special paper that can be printed from a normal printer? And then varnished and soaked in water? Great work as always

Man, I would love to have a train like that, I’ve always loved trains since I was very little, and to see one made of clockwork, made my day to see such exist. I don’t have any track anymore, but I would still love to keep it and see it in action. I should mention that my favorite type of engine is steam.
