Yeah, I own a 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 since new and know the feeling. I highly recommend, if I knew when I first purchased, to immediately after buying purchase RCV Performance Ultimate CV Axles for the Dana 44.
with power tools it only takes about 10min to get the wiper cowel and assembly out the way and make world of difference space wise on these prius ... just maybe a dozen or so 10 and 12mm bolts
Great video, about to replace the struts and sway bar links on my 09. Rock auto has lots of options for loaded struts to avoid having to deal with the springs so I went that route.

Yes it matters. You don`t do that. You don`t install new shocks without dust covers.
