It's a small scene but I love that CC tries to find a non-supernatural explanation and Angel is open to it.

It's so hilarious when the doctor guy said to Angel you can't be alive your not human ! and I'm like uhm Jesus between you and Angel your the most inhuman one here 😂, also I kind of wanted Angel to show his vampire face to the doctor to really make him piss his pants Lmao 🤣

Again Angel as a show this time looks at stalking and obsession in I Fall To Pieces. An interesting take on it here to the extreme with the evil Doctor trying to use coercive control to feed his obsession by detaching his body parts. Cordelia trying to get Angel to start charging clients adds some comic relief, with the first cheque at the end being gleefully accepted by Cordelia and Doyle. Another great bit of writing with social comment on a very serious issue that affects a lot of people. Interestingly enough the evil Doctor here is the same actor that played D'Hoffryn in BTVS who we first saw in Dopplegangland S3 of BTVS, he often appeared in the show. This is very much in the style of an X-Files episode like Squeeze, where Tooms was able to manipulate his body in all sorts of contortions. Good thoughtful analysis. A a lot of reactors who begin to watch Angel just says it's not as good as BTVS. Angel is a brilliant show in its own right.
Its interesting that on BtVS, the stalking Angel does is romanticized because the in-universe high school characters would see it that way from Angel (whether he was helping or not) while on a show geared more towards adults and has more adult themes with Angel as the lead has him going after a stalker. They even bring up, through Cordelia, how wrong it was for Angel (not just Angelus) to have done so in the past by having her say he can identify with Ronald because he's done it before.
I’m sure Angel’s form of stalking is A LOT different than this creepy doctor creature. It’s worlds apart.
Its like how Angel tackles a DV relationship vs the way Buffy does. Angel takes a much more adult and sensible approach, it's interesting to see how they both tackle things
@@A_Planner_and_a_Dreamer That was the point of my saying "(whether he was helping or not)." It doesn't matter what intentions Angel had compared to Ronald. It's still wrong. BtVS romanticized it and this show brings out its creep factor, good intentions or no. Kind of like when teens who love _Twilight_ think Edward's attitude and actions towards Bella are romantic until they grow up and realize that is not true about his character. It doesn't matter that Edward wasn't evil, only that they see his actions for the badness they are. Angel's stalking of Buffy (and his relationship with Buffy as a whole) are brought more into the focus of ew through this series and this episode has Cordelia mentioning it.
