- Here's a first look at what the new Madrid F1 circuit will look like!
That a Formula 1 race was coming to Madrid was no longer a surprise. But what does a lap around the circuit in the Spanish capital look like exactly?
The street circuit in the northeast of the Spanish city is 5.474 kilometers long and has twenty corners. Overtaking will be challenging on the twisty circuit. You will also immediately notice some elevation changes in the track, giving the circuit a resemblance to Zandvoort and Portimão.
At first glance, it appears to be a challenging circuit, where the tires can be put to the test due to the numerous long corners. RacingNews365 gives you a preview of what to expect in 2026 when the drivers actually hit the Spanish asphalt.

What are your first impressions? 🤔
Where do you overtake?
The high speed "chicane" looks like a new Singapore spring situation.
This track is horrid. No thank you.
@@Wild_stream064 That's a good question 🤔
no way the FIA will let drivers cut the corner and do it at 300kph. They will probably put fat curbs to avoid it @@cristinaborch4759
It is going to be a Procession! no overtaking Opportunities! Its meant to be a Race not a Conga Line Dance!
F1 needs to Go back to Jarama or Jerez if they want a Second Race in Spain!
Looks like an incredibly fun qualifying lap but the race here would probably suck
It's a street track what do you expect? It's not designed to be open and easy to pass. That wouldn't be a street track 😂
Looks more like a qualifying track instead of a race track.
404 Overtaking zones not found
Wonder if Visa CashApp RB can get pole.
Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber too i guess
If they pay for it
@@pitekpitek6294agreed.
a 'spoon' curve with a solid wall outside it. Maybe rename the circuit "Red Flag Madrid"
0:20 ik know those braking meter boards gonna get destroyed every session
How many overtake possibilities do you want?
Madrid: No
i saw a comment that represents this track perfectly:
“Spanish Mount Panorama”
I LOVE this track on its own. Very fast, flowing, & challenging at the same time. But for racing i dont know.. Im split if the racing would be good or bad
0:20 that tunnel is very dangerous at that speed. Clipping the inside kerb too hard and the car flies into the wall there.
Yeah yeah 😄🙌🥳
yeah its a wall perpendicular to the circuit in a high-speed corner. I hope there is a runoff area irl.
looks like death to me
Can somebody pls tell me where you can overtake pls? Cuz I don’t see any place except the start/finish straight and that’s so short
Its a street track why are you obsessed with overtaking....
@@FormulaProg Because Processions are Boring!
maybe the run up between turns 3 & 4. Turn 8 [i think] could be a overtaking spot too because of the long corner and width of it. maybe someone can make a pass on the outside
Those fast chicanes in the first section are the only parts that stand out as something unique, but they will 100% mark my words ruin them by making them braking zones because f1 the show is all about drs "overtakes"
Great qualifying track, would absolutely love to see that. Racing could be tricky
RACE CONTROL: car 55 (SAI) time 1:24:641 DELETED - TRACK LIMIT AT TURN 15 (0:55-0:57).
this circut looks even more dangerous than Jeddah. what are they thinking?
Not too bad sure what to think about it. Overtaking looks difficult anyway
The hairpin is going to be banked
That’s Albert Park and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve’s love child.
I'm sorry but at 0:19 no way these cars can take the corner FLAT ROUND HERE.
Can't see a single proper overtaking point.
then youre blind
is there a link to download the track? (or the car)
I ask myself on the grad 1 of this track... But Jeddah is already grad 1 so I guess there is no problem on it...
I think, most of the corners are supposed NOT be be driven flat out.
Nice they did it again. One more boring to death kinda track 🙏 just what we needed, another non legacy street track. What do we have to give up? Barcelona when it finally got good or spa or what.
The layout actually looks fun to drive. But how on earth could this track produce interesting races? This is going to be a qualifying race. I see myself watching the qualifying and the wait for a highlight video to the race. Because the race itself will be boring af.
Too many corners looks dangerous then jeddah why they don't renovated jarama or jerez
It's giving me mount Panarama vibes. A good hotlap track but racing will suck
I feel like this track can be a bit to narrow for current chonky f1 cars
Very much sliding this is bo track for f1 and the 4th corner look deadly no chance for no crashes. Foes the FIA want the drivers to die?!?!?
Horrible circuit. But 0:20 looks amazing
I dont get what F1 is rhibking when Aragon exists
tremenda cagarruta de circuito, prefiero Barcelona mil veces
Weinig inhaalmogelijkheden
Looks boring already. Bring back Portugal
That is such a bad track, F1 is going in the complete wrong direction. Only 5 proper braking zones in a 20 corner track, unbelievable.
every track doesnt need to have hard braking zone for every corner. that would be extremely boring and not fun to drive on.
looking boring every corner is the same. walls everywhere makes it dangerous. no overtaking spots. all in all tracks should spot trying to copy monaco. because monaco is a shitty track but the history makes it cool. these tracks have nothing. just a disneyland feel.
Yuck. Boring. Catalonia so much better
As always.
Montmeló is the most boring circuit right now
@@Alonso_The_GOAT jajaja ya quisieras FC Palancas
Horrible for racing
