The information and visual of the history of ancient Rome are so important to all people. Thank you for bringing us this stunning example of that history. Thank you American Institute for Roman Culture. Thank you Darius

Our pleasure. It's important to share this rich history in various ways. As we have a lot of TV experience from Darius, we tend to go in that direction with a TV- feel to create an engaging environment in which to discuss the history and art.

I love that you paid some attention to the building itself too. Stunning ceilings, I remember!

Yes, it's another enticing reason to visit the museum, We barely scratched the surface of the entire collection.

I didn't visit it yet and still is one of my principal destinations for a very good sightseeing. I m glad I've found your video that let us see the Trono Ludovisi: I m disappointed that the visitor is unable to look at the seat because it is installed that way. Why m I so interested in his frontal position? Because in the late 80s, when I still was a student, a quarrel exploded about this very Throne. Federico Zeri, a very trustworthy art historian who I liked very much ( for his irony as well) told the media it was a fake made in Rome at the end of the XIX century by a famous forger, whose name I don't remember. The Mystery was never solved, because Zeri died shortly after this revelation. Probably everybody has forgotten the accident, but I don't! and I still have much curiosity about this specific artwork. This is why I wish to take a good glimpse at it to make up my mind. Zeri was a very knowledgeable man and he maintained high moral standards until his departure: he had no interest in shock value publicity, but he could still have been wrong. I cannot wait until the moment I will be back in Rome and - finally - to be able to look at the Ludovisi'Throne, even if it won't be my principal aim.

Does this have the full statue Artemis of Ariccia / Hera Fanese / Diana of Ariccia on display ? I have seen references to it being in the collection but when I went the staff said it wasn't there ?

Wonderful videos, thank you for taking time to do these. However, the background music is so load that it is very hard to concentrate on what you are saying, Darius.

Lovely images. But the script is quite odd, as though it was written and hosted by a sports reporter.
