    @Force Engineering You might want edit the title to reflect that this is the 2.4 LE5 Turbo Kit. Since it appears by reading the comments that most don't know or understand that the 2.4 LE5 was not turbocharged from the factory, and was only rated at 177HP and 166TQ. I found your video by searching for: "2.4 Pontiac Solstice turbo", since the question; Can I turbocharge my 2.4, is a somewhat frequent question in Facebook groups. Also, when Solstice & Sky owners ask about adding a turbo to their 2.4, I always tell them the importance of having it turned correctly, since tuning a 2.4 turbo seems to fall into the good or bad experience for 2.4 turbo kits. Now that I found your video, I can start posting it when that question is asked. 👍

    Great video!
    We all need more real life dyno videos.

    Not enough info...did I miss it?..is it the 2.4?? obviously the GXP had the 2 Ecotech turbo with 15 pounds of boost, so I am assuming you installed a turbo on a 2.4, and with 5 pound of boost, making 197 HP to the wheels looks like 240 net HP. I have a 07 GXP and a stage 2 RPM Motorsports tune and the car makes 300 net HP.

    The bad map was from rpm?? Im thinking of having them install the same turbo kit- should I trust them to tune it or take it to somewhere around me haha

      I'm really not sure where the file came from. The car came to me from another shop that wasnt responsible for any tuning.

    Those are surprisingly low numbers for what’s on here!

      Actually this is normal. 5 pounds of boost. This kit is the KO4 turbo which is the stock turbo off the factory turbo car. Its a little small for the 2.4 base. These cars have a lot of drivetrains losses as well. So this is like a 260hp crank car. Probably as fast as a stock turbo car.

      15 lb boost min, or not worth it.

      @@austinfrazier7325 NO CHANCE is this as fast as the stock GXP. Considering a max of 25% losses from RW to NET it would have 245 HP. The stock GXP had 260 and 5 pounds of boost is nothing.

    I have been looking for one in a color I like and gxp. I also kind of keep my eye open for a sky. Is there much difference? Kinda trying to learn that now

      The differences are exterior styling and the Sky interiors are generally nicer. The Skys were originally priced $2400 higher than the Solstice.

    I asked about builds a few videos back. I have an 07 WRX I am “trying” to build. I have a built short block waiting for heads to be rebuilt. Would this be something Force can do?! I live down the road from Force, be nice to support local shops!

      Thanks for the comment, sorry i missed the other one! Unfortunately were not taking any new machine work in currently. Have 15 engine here now and need to get caught up. If you're still looking to have this done in 3 months or reach out again.

    Was this a gxp or regular model ? Reason I ask is because I’m seriously considering getting one

      Gxp has a different front, the circle foglites are the giveaway between them, a gxp has combo foglites/air ducts

    Wait...less than 200 hp? Am i missing something?

    • @ForceEngineering
      @ForceEngineering  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The engine was rated for 177 at the flywheel stock. Which would be roughly 130 at the tire.

    Don't they make 12 pounds in the HHR? Mine did but it still was a turd.

      I was under the impression that from the factory it was max around 15psi, but with a tune, and charge pipes, 20ish....

    you let the car leave the shop like THAT?
    factory is 260HP & 260FT lbs Torque
    How you didnt charge them any $$$

    • @ForceEngineering
      @ForceEngineering  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You dont understand how this works. Transmissions, rear ends, wheels, and tires all take power to move. This is known as drive train loss. In stock form it would have made less than 200 hp at the tire on an accurate dyno like ours.
