These videos are always nice as I often find myself really enjoying the game for a couple of months, then my interest drops off for a few months after that. Videos like this remind me why I always come back to the game and get me back into it 👍🏼
I literally LAUGHED out of pure pleasure to find a content so complete for this game that I LOVED to play back in the day, but it was like 10 years ago. Hi Pieter - unfortunately, you picked 1 of the 4 classes that I don't have a great deal of experience with (yet). I've dabbled with them some, and my biggest frustration was the enemy AI usually knowing where I put invisible traps... they didn't feel invisible any more...lol. I know people do enjoy the Sram, and there are people that are able to solo endgame level dungeons with them (usually a cheese method though). I think Srams are more popular in PvP content than PvM, but like I said, I'm not a great person to ask about them.
@@MieterLepel The Sadida is very fun, and should do pretty well even solo. Make sure you check out my Sadida Guide video... it should help you decide on which element, as well as give you the strengths and weaknesses. Best of luck.
I'm so happy to see another Dofus player and someone who is making content. I was an old school player and I have been getting back into it off and on. I really like all the improvements that have been made. Especially the fact that I no longer have to scroll stats! 😂
Welcome back to Dofus AdventSonne and I'm so happy you found the channel. I'm old-school Shika player myself, so I've been here a long time as well. They have changed a LOT and made several quality-of-life improvements... this game keeps getting better. And hopefully the Unity Port next year will take things to a new level!

Played this first week it came out for 5 years straight. Stopping playing but every so now and then I think back about the fond memories it created. Such a fantastic game. Still have access to my characters as well! Might make a return someday! Good content

Oh man, I remember playing dofus more than a decade ago, when I was a wee lad on my father's laptop. I kinda lost interest after many years since I had no one to play it with and I started to play other games, but watching this video rekindle that love for this beautiful game!

Aww my childhood recapped. I played back in 2006 on french servers before Shika was created. I met my now wife of 10 years through Dofus and still keep in touch with many players (including the Managing Director of the Esports Awards!). Nice to see this pop up on my feed and I hope the low player bases of 2011 where everybody just played 6-8 accounts at one time have been resolved. Would be great to revisit but I don't want to spoil the great memories!

Omgg i miss this game i played it for a bit when i was 8, 13-14 and i think i just stopped because no irl would play with me. Im 22 now and I think about Dofus about once a week it's such a beautiful colourful world!!
@@Benjamight i tried the mobile version a year ago (turns out my account was hacked but luckily no money was used and i managed to get it all safe again 🤞) and i liked it for the nostalgia factor but i think for me when i play a game where there's other players but i dont have an irl friend, it feels empty/lonely if that makes sense? I'll defo come back if i can convince a friend to check it out!
I've played Dofus on and off since 2006, it's definitely a special game, unique, I love isometric RPGs and turn-based combat, it has so many things I love, the art style is great too, I do miss v1 but v2 is really nice, would be better to have the choice of old music though. Still, something stops me coming back to it, I've done it so many times, I have so many accounts with characters level 120~, at that point I just stop playing, finding a good guild, a community, I struggle with, all my friends quit after a while, and the min-maxed accounts that stomp around PVP make it not even an option for people who haven't exomaged to hell and back. PvM is what I love, and I wish it was possible to solo the entire game, but hey, that's just my opinion, it's still an awesome game.
I'm with you Azure, this game is very special - and the PvM side of it is my passion as well. I'm not sure if you knew this, but if you play the Dofus Retro version, it is the old version of the game back at update 1.29. They have added to it, but it's still that old version (and music). If you're looking to solo everything PvM, I hear Osa's, Elio's, and Srams are your go-to classes. Obviously some of those are going to be very tedious, but I guess it can be done. Rogue too can be a class to pull it off, but again, very difficult at endgame levels. Best of luck - Benjamight

This game is amazing! I feel like it would be a lot more popular if it wasn't so strategic and "difficult"... nowadays young people are used to not think at all. Anyways I played this at the very beggining, I remember the first guy to get level 200 on the server (Spiritia), it was a Cra - Int named Badhood... It didn't even existed equipament for the highest levels, the guy was using lvl 160 stuff 😂 Just amazing memories from a amazing game
i played back when brokle was a strength damaging move where you jump up in the sky, or when the ecaflips skill was literal backflips, this game was a huge part of my childhood and i randomly saw your video recommended to me so i think i might give it another shot! sadly the last time i played i gave away all my gear to random people for free but starting from fresh might be just what i need to get me back into it!

@@Benjamight thank you for the warm welcome back! its great to find a youtuber still actively making content for this game (and in english too!) im very sorry for this essay of a comment but as im sure you understand i have a lot to ask after all this time so in my comment i was actually referring to when i started playing rather than when i stopped, i actually stopped playing after 2.0 had already been out, i remember having ridiculously maged up sets for multiple characters and potentially millions of kamas upon revisiting today the only items of value i have left that i found in my bank are an 18 int gobball amulet and a 20 wisdom pet (bow wow i think the name was) thats supposedly worth just shy of 900kk i have 3 level 80+ characters on my account (iop, sac, eca) most likely will start a new character and take advantage of the 4x xp until level ~85 and im returning as a f2p player for now until i decide if i want to continue playing so my questions are: can i sell this pet, how, is it worth selling and if so where should i direct my money, starting sets like gobball etc for my new character or save for higher level stuff for my pre-existing chars/for when my new one reaches a higher level - suggestions are welcome as i have no idea what to do i loved the iop playstyle of dps/buffer with a choice of aoe or single target spells, is there another class you would recommend that could hit the same/similar spot? (preferably one of the newer ones as ive played all of the older ones) buffing isnt a necessity its more the feel of the abilities im after - ouginak seems interesting from the small amount ive seen more of a curiosity of mine but do those weapons that transform you into a bandit of some sort and give you a new set of skills still exist and if so are they good/worth persuing - i just remember thinking they were so cool when i was younger but idk if its a waste of time to invest into them (i think they were a reward for a certain tier of subscription you purchased at the time) finally in terms of direction im not really sure what my goal should be when i jump back in, levelling for levelling's sake seems fruitless so some guidance in that area would be much appreciated of course any videos relating to anything ive mentioned that you have, feel free to recommend if applicable, i havent explored your content aside from a couple of videos yet thank you so much, and thank you for reigniting the spark i once had for this game
Hello again Sam. If you're wanting to try one of the newer classes, my #1 choice is the Foggernaut - they are incredible in all they can do (solo or team), and my close #2 would be the Huppermage. I'm still learning this class myself, but it's SOOO fun! I have a guide on my channel for both of these, to get you started. As for selling the pet - there is a "creature market" in Bonta and Brakmar now you can sell at. Personally, if I was coming back after a long break, I'd start a new character(s)... sorry, I can't remember if you said you multi-account or not. I would not delete the old ones, so you get the XP multiplyer - UNLESS you feel like you're leveling too fast, which can happen if you're getting x3 or x4 XP. I'd focus on achievements... pick up the Dungeon Questlines (there are 2) and work your way through those... it will keep pushing you to the next dungeon as well as give you awesome XP at each point. Yeah Sam - you'll need to be subscribed to access the Creature Markets... in fact, you have to be subscribed to do anything with pets & mounts. If you're not aware though, they did expand the f2p area... it now includes Astrub and each immediate surrounding area - so that's pretty cool. Elio's are an amazing class too, and if I was only running 1 account, I would definitely consider them... there is a bit of a learning curve, but they have incredible solo potential with their portals. If you try one, go Chance - you won't regret it. Best of luck.

@@Lopaata Hmm both came almost at the same time. Can't tell you which one was first. Jiva was French and Rushu was international. I remember two famous figures (Don't know if they are still famous now), RamboPL who was the first ever to lvl 200 and there was a weapon made on his name, he was a Feca in Rushu. Jiva had Immortal, Iop lvl 200 (Guess the first in Jiva) but he was the first who made an entire wiki like page including all quests solutions, guides and all! Almost like Wowhead with WoW official.

Just picked the game back up after 10+ years. I love how easy they have made changing builds now, no more stress of builds getting killed by meta, not specced right for x content or just wanting to get whacky with builds. Super player friendly move on their part 👍

@@shanejay9539 Nope, just open up your character stats dialog box, and in the bottom where you assign your points, you'll see a little arrow... click that, and it will give them all back to you. You won't get back anything scrolled though, just fyi.
2021 I have decided to start Shadow server. After dying two times in a row third time was my lucky charm. I am running cra and sac and I love it. This video is an excellent resource and I have failed to find something of this quality for even the most popular MMOs. Small question: Does the encyclopedia track your drops or does that not matter so much if there are achievements associated with items/drops? I find it enjoyable to complete sets or finish logging everything available from a monster/area.

No, the encyclopedia does not track your drops - I don't think there are actually any achievements associated with drops in general, but there are some for killing each 'family' of an enemy type with a successful fight challenge. That achievement (the first time you complete it) will actually reward you with resources (and kamas), but I don't think there's anything for just hunting resources - if that makes sense?
I'd love to see a guide like this for Dofus Touch. Paying to play an MMORPG is not something I'd do, it ties you to the game, always thinking to play more to get the most out of your money. I stopped playing in the past because of this.

Hi there The Extras - yeah, a new guide would be super helpful, but I'm making much more casual Dofus content on here at the moment. There is a LOT of this guide that is still relevant and helpful, but the server merge definitely shook up that part of the video. If you're looking for the new international multi-accounting server, go with Talkasha, and if you want a mono-account server, I believe Draconiros is the one you want (although I'm not entirely sure on that one). I don't have a guide for Cra's... they're pretty straightforward. Each element is fantastic for a Cra too, so I would pick whatever you enjoy the most. Personally, if you're running solo a lot, I think Agility is one of the strongest - with pushback abilities & HP stealing, along with difficulty locking you down... it's a great element.
The quest starts talking to the NPC inside the Town Concil (I think that's what it's called), then you go to the Inn, talk to someone downstairs (you have to buy them a beer first), then upstairs, and then you talk to the fat Panda on the outside of the South side of the city wall... I believe near the Padocks. Hopefully that gets you through to where you're asking. :-) Welcome back to dofus.
Absolutely love your videos! I watch your dofus content regularly and can't even begin to fathom what I didn't know about dofus. I've been playing for over 10 years on and off and always just grinded. Starting playing again about 2 weeks ago with my wife and best friend en we started questing for the first time, now we have so much more content to enjoy together! I do have a question tho, do you know why I can't accept the chaffer dungeon quest? If I'm correct metamunch kin should give you this quest after completing the gobbal dungeon. But he doesn't have the quest available, would you know why? Also, do you know if the shortcut in the rogue building towards the cemetery still works? I've entered the building which used to be the old rogue astrub spawn and I can't seem to open the hidden stairs. Anyway, thanks a lot for all of the amazing content, I watch a lot of it. Even stuff I already knew about! You're very enjoyable to wach :)

As for the Skeleton Dungeon - once you beat the Gobbal Dungeon, Metamunch Kin tells you to go find the Key Master, which is located up in the Cania's Lakes area (kind of Northwest of the gobbal area). However, you do have to be a certain level before you can progress this step... I can't remember what it is, but I'm thinking level 40? Not sure... anyways, that's what should be your next step. :-) Best of luck.

2 things of note that went unsaid, Echo is the only regular server you can even access without a subscription and the infinite reset of characteristics is paid only.
@@Benjamight I didn't check out all of your videos yet, but maybe some real hard or rare quests, or kolossium or professions leveling. Any kamas making (easy, medium, hard) or xp gathering for low, medium and high levels

Very informative video, especially with all the new changes they implemented over the last couple years! I stopped playing shortly after the first major Xelor rehaul (introducing the Synchro) although I was in contention to represent our german server Nehra back then at the Goultarminator. Just felt like as a mono account player, it became too hard to really get the kamas flow going to craft/buy new sets or especially dofuses. Would you say it’s still pretty much like that or is it still time consuming/ would you be better off just trading in real money for Ogrines/Kamas?
Hey there Max - thanks for the compliment. Dofus is definitely still a time consuming game, like most MMOs are, but there are some big improvements in areas where it was needed. They have reduced the amount of XP needed for every level, added resources to first time achievements, improved the profession leveling system, and several other small changes that really add up. Getting enough kamas for subscribe is easier for some than others... I've never been very good at it - I pay cash for my subscription, but I'm ok with that - it allows me to use my kamas for gear and such. I made sure to get it correct this time around. The account I used to demonstrate that step in the video was actually on a f2p account.
last time i played i a sram lvl 200 and sacri , iop and eni about 199 198 198 in a server named lily , they had just introduced eliotropes back then ... i haven't played dofus in almost a decade but weren't sacri supposed to be bult full vitality ? i amped it's stats using scrolls and stuff but i don't remember ever putting a single point in anything other than vitality ( sacri gain attributes from equipment and damage ... as far as i remember , maybe that changed now )

How are those single account servers? Me and my friends don't play multiple accounts, and it seems like that would be a better environment for us. However... starting from scratch isn't super-inviting. Obviously, when we just play with each other, there's no difference. But is it easier to get pick up groups there? What's the incentive to start over on one of those servers?
Hi Sines314 - if you're looking for a very active mono-account server, Illyzaelle is my best recommendation... even create just a free character, run down to Astrub, and look around... you'll be able to see right away how busy the server is.
@@Benjamight I was more asking about whether or not it was worth it to start over on one of those servers. Is the community of these servers remarkably different? I can certainly see how things would change, and if me and my buddies were starting from scratch, we'd head right there to start. But, while none of us are wealthy or packing end-game ready characters, it's still a big deal to go there instead of staying put. And if it's not significantly easier to pug or break into the economy, it's probably not worth the trouble. So, what are the practical benefits there?

Hello Iron - personally, I'd knock out all the free stuff first (Incarnam, Astrub, and each of the 1st surrounding areas)... but if you're wanting to do more exploring - then there's nothing wrong with subbing right away. It does open up a few extra features, but exploration would be the biggest reason at low levels.

Hello Lucas. The game has a free to play area & max level of 60, which is awesome for testing the game out. There is a subscription of about $5 a month, if you want access to the entire game... you can actually use in-game currency to subscribe as well, converting them to Ogrines - but it's not an easy thing to do when completely new to the game... earning enough kamas (the in game currency) takes a lot of work. To download, just go to Dofus.com, and at the bottom of the screen, you'll see a big green 'DOWNLOAD' button, click that and it should walk you through the install process. On a side note, if you want to play another game by Ankama set in this same universe, they have a completely free game called Wakfu - it's a beautiful fun MMO RPG as well... download process should be the same, but at Wakfu.com. Just started playing again after a good 8 years off. Playing on echo because that’s what it defaulted me to and plan to play solo. Is echo still good for solo or is it better to play on a non multi account server? I guess it seems like just might be harder to find pvm groups but are there any other reasons to go to a different server?
Welcome back Fajita! Echo is fine for solo, but like you pointed out, it can be a little more difficult to find teams to run with. However, get yourself into an active guild, and you probably won't have any trouble. You can always start a 2nd character on Ilyzaelle just to see which you prefer, but that's totally up to you. No, I wouldn't compare the mechanics of them... they both have strengths and weaknesses in different areas. Both are fantastic games, each with their unique set of mechanics.
Hi Tenki - sure thing. Both are made by Ankama and take place in the 'Dofus' Universe... however, Wakfu is set (I think) 10,000 years into the future. They are both turn-based strategy RPG MMO type games. Dofus is free to play in a select area, and then you have to subscribe to progress further, but Wakfu is completely free to play. Although they have all the same classes, the way the spells work and many other functions inside the game are very different from one another. If you're looking long haul - I would definitely choose Dofus. Not saying anything is wrong with Wakfu, but Dofus has a much larger population AND content creators. :-)
Hi Zulol - I'm not aware of there being a restriction, but I honestly don't know... I haven't tried it. I don't recall setting up a phone number with all my accounts, but they are VERY old and I can't remember what all was involved any longer.
Hi Kevin - don't worry, we're not all bots...lol. I think the game is doing awesome, and Ankama is actually working to get Dofus ported over to Unity software down the road, which should greatly improve the performance of the game as well.
@@Benjamight could you point me to a guide which explains how to level up? I dont like doing quests and the highest area I can find is lvl 10. The portals i have found only take me around that map
@@Assassinss77 Hi Tapi - sounds like you're still in Incarnam, which is kind of the tutorial area. If you head over to the right side of the map, you should see a large portal that's on it's side... talk to the NPC there and click the portal... it should allow you to go down to Astrub. There, I would fight Piwi's, and fight the color associated with the element you are building your character (Blue for chance, red for intel, etc.). This will allow you to drop the Piwi set, which is my #1 first recommended set for all classes.
I've heard it that way too... I know of at least 3 ways I've heard it pronounced - so now it's just a matter of which one I got in the habit of saying. ;-)
Hello Thatguy01... You definitely have me a little confused by your comments. My only thought is perhaps you are logged into Dofus Retro or Dofus Touch? Hi there Gheorghe - I actually have done a few different Lets Play series on Dofus. The Quest to 200 series has about 40 episodes and is basically me going through the 'main story' of Dofus. Might be worth a watch if you're looking for something like this, but be warned... my first several episodes are pretty rough...lol. I didn't get a webcam until around episode 14 I think it was too.

Hi Pieter - unfortunately, you picked 1 of the 4 classes that I don't have a great deal of experience with (yet). I've dabbled with them some, and my biggest frustration was the enemy AI usually knowing where I put invisible traps... they didn't feel invisible any more...lol.
I know people do enjoy the Sram, and there are people that are able to solo endgame level dungeons with them (usually a cheese method though). I think Srams are more popular in PvP content than PvM, but like I said, I'm not a great person to ask about them.

Aww my childhood recapped. I played back in 2006 on french servers before Shika was created. I met my now wife of 10 years through Dofus and still keep in touch with many players (including the Managing Director of the Esports Awards!). Nice to see this pop up on my feed and I hope the low player bases of 2011 where everybody just played 6-8 accounts at one time have been resolved. Would be great to revisit but I don't want to spoil the great memories!

I've played Dofus on and off since 2006, it's definitely a special game, unique, I love isometric RPGs and turn-based combat, it has so many things I love, the art style is great too, I do miss v1 but v2 is really nice, would be better to have the choice of old music though. Still, something stops me coming back to it, I've done it so many times, I have so many accounts with characters level 120~, at that point I just stop playing, finding a good guild, a community, I struggle with, all my friends quit after a while, and the min-maxed accounts that stomp around PVP make it not even an option for people who haven't exomaged to hell and back. PvM is what I love, and I wish it was possible to solo the entire game, but hey, that's just my opinion, it's still an awesome game.
I'm with you Azure, this game is very special - and the PvM side of it is my passion as well. I'm not sure if you knew this, but if you play the Dofus Retro version, it is the old version of the game back at update 1.29. They have added to it, but it's still that old version (and music).
If you're looking to solo everything PvM, I hear Osa's, Elio's, and Srams are your go-to classes. Obviously some of those are going to be very tedious, but I guess it can be done. Rogue too can be a class to pull it off, but again, very difficult at endgame levels.

This game is amazing! I feel like it would be a lot more popular if it wasn't so strategic and "difficult"... nowadays young people are used to not think at all. Anyways I played this at the very beggining, I remember the first guy to get level 200 on the server (Spiritia), it was a Cra - Int named Badhood... It didn't even existed equipament for the highest levels, the guy was using lvl 160 stuff 😂 Just amazing memories from a amazing game
i played back when brokle was a strength damaging move where you jump up in the sky, or when the ecaflips skill was literal backflips, this game was a huge part of my childhood and i randomly saw your video recommended to me so i think i might give it another shot! sadly the last time i played i gave away all my gear to random people for free but starting from fresh might be just what i need to get me back into it!

im very sorry for this essay of a comment but as im sure you understand i have a lot to ask after all this time
so in my comment i was actually referring to when i started playing rather than when i stopped, i actually stopped playing after 2.0 had already been out, i remember having ridiculously maged up sets for multiple characters and potentially millions of kamas
upon revisiting today the only items of value i have left that i found in my bank are an 18 int gobball amulet and a 20 wisdom pet (bow wow i think the name was) thats supposedly worth just shy of 900kk
i have 3 level 80+ characters on my account (iop, sac, eca)
most likely will start a new character and take advantage of the 4x xp until level ~85
and im returning as a f2p player for now until i decide if i want to continue playing
so my questions are:
can i sell this pet, how, is it worth selling and if so where should i direct my money, starting sets like gobball etc for my new character or save for higher level stuff for my pre-existing chars/for when my new one reaches a higher level - suggestions are welcome as i have no idea what to do
i loved the iop playstyle of dps/buffer with a choice of aoe or single target spells, is there another class you would recommend that could hit the same/similar spot? (preferably one of the newer ones as ive played all of the older ones) buffing isnt a necessity its more the feel of the abilities im after - ouginak seems interesting from the small amount ive seen
more of a curiosity of mine but do those weapons that transform you into a bandit of some sort and give you a new set of skills still exist and if so are they good/worth persuing - i just remember thinking they were so cool when i was younger but idk if its a waste of time to invest into them (i think they were a reward for a certain tier of subscription you purchased at the time)
finally in terms of direction im not really sure what my goal should be when i jump back in, levelling for levelling's sake seems fruitless so some guidance in that area would be much appreciated
of course any videos relating to anything ive mentioned that you have, feel free to recommend if applicable, i havent explored your content aside from a couple of videos yet

Hello again Sam. If you're wanting to try one of the newer classes, my #1 choice is the Foggernaut - they are incredible in all they can do (solo or team), and my close #2 would be the Huppermage. I'm still learning this class myself, but it's SOOO fun! I have a guide on my channel for both of these, to get you started.
As for selling the pet - there is a "creature market" in Bonta and Brakmar now you can sell at.
Personally, if I was coming back after a long break, I'd start a new character(s)... sorry, I can't remember if you said you multi-account or not. I would not delete the old ones, so you get the XP multiplyer - UNLESS you feel like you're leveling too fast, which can happen if you're getting x3 or x4 XP.
I'd focus on achievements... pick up the Dungeon Questlines (there are 2) and work your way through those... it will keep pushing you to the next dungeon as well as give you awesome XP at each point.

while ive tried everything in the past, almost every class has had huge changes since back when i played so its almost like playing a new class anyway LOL, but i created a masq and I'll definitely try out the huppermage after consulting your guide

Yeah Sam - you'll need to be subscribed to access the Creature Markets... in fact, you have to be subscribed to do anything with pets & mounts.
If you're not aware though, they did expand the f2p area... it now includes Astrub and each immediate surrounding area - so that's pretty cool.
Elio's are an amazing class too, and if I was only running 1 account, I would definitely consider them... there is a bit of a learning curve, but they have incredible solo potential with their portals. If you try one, go Chance - you won't regret it.

@@Lopaata Hmm both came almost at the same time. Can't tell you which one was first. Jiva was French and Rushu was international.
I remember two famous figures (Don't know if they are still famous now), RamboPL who was the first ever to lvl 200 and there was a weapon made on his name, he was a Feca in Rushu. Jiva had Immortal, Iop lvl 200 (Guess the first in Jiva) but he was the first who made an entire wiki like page including all quests solutions, guides and all! Almost like Wowhead with WoW official.

I love how easy they have made changing builds now, no more stress of builds getting killed by meta, not specced right for x content or just wanting to get whacky with builds. Super player friendly move on their part 👍

@@shanejay9539 Nope, just open up your character stats dialog box, and in the bottom where you assign your points, you'll see a little arrow... click that, and it will give them all back to you. You won't get back anything scrolled though, just fyi.

Small question: Does the encyclopedia track your drops or does that not matter so much if there are achievements associated with items/drops? I find it enjoyable to complete sets or finish logging everything available from a monster/area.

No, the encyclopedia does not track your drops - I don't think there are actually any achievements associated with drops in general, but there are some for killing each 'family' of an enemy type with a successful fight challenge. That achievement (the first time you complete it) will actually reward you with resources (and kamas), but I don't think there's anything for just hunting resources - if that makes sense?
I'd love to see a guide like this for Dofus Touch. Paying to play an MMORPG is not something I'd do, it ties you to the game, always thinking to play more to get the most out of your money. I stopped playing in the past because of this.

Hi there The Extras - yeah, a new guide would be super helpful, but I'm making much more casual Dofus content on here at the moment. There is a LOT of this guide that is still relevant and helpful, but the server merge definitely shook up that part of the video. If you're looking for the new international multi-accounting server, go with Talkasha, and if you want a mono-account server, I believe Draconiros is the one you want (although I'm not entirely sure on that one). I don't have a guide for Cra's... they're pretty straightforward. Each element is fantastic for a Cra too, so I would pick whatever you enjoy the most. Personally, if you're running solo a lot, I think Agility is one of the strongest - with pushback abilities & HP stealing, along with difficulty locking you down... it's a great element.

The quest starts talking to the NPC inside the Town Concil (I think that's what it's called), then you go to the Inn, talk to someone downstairs (you have to buy them a beer first), then upstairs, and then you talk to the fat Panda on the outside of the South side of the city wall... I believe near the Padocks.

Absolutely love your videos! I watch your dofus content regularly and can't even begin to fathom what I didn't know about dofus. I've been playing for over 10 years on and off and always just grinded. Starting playing again about 2 weeks ago with my wife and best friend en we started questing for the first time, now we have so much more content to enjoy together!
I do have a question tho, do you know why I can't accept the chaffer dungeon quest? If I'm correct metamunch kin should give you this quest after completing the gobbal dungeon. But he doesn't have the quest available, would you know why? Also, do you know if the shortcut in the rogue building towards the cemetery still works? I've entered the building which used to be the old rogue astrub spawn and I can't seem to open the hidden stairs.

As for the Skeleton Dungeon - once you beat the Gobbal Dungeon, Metamunch Kin tells you to go find the Key Master, which is located up in the Cania's Lakes area (kind of Northwest of the gobbal area). However, you do have to be a certain level before you can progress this step... I can't remember what it is, but I'm thinking level 40? Not sure... anyways, that's what should be your next step. :-)

@@Benjamight I found out what was wrong! We weren't subscribed yet haha, we wanted to wait until the last moment till we ran out of the free content and subscribe. Turns out the quest doesn't show up when you're not subscribed XD
2 things of note that went unsaid, Echo is the only regular server you can even access without a subscription and the infinite reset of characteristics is paid only.

Very informative video, especially with all the new changes they implemented over the last couple years! I stopped playing shortly after the first major Xelor rehaul (introducing the Synchro) although I was in contention to represent our german server Nehra back then at the Goultarminator. Just felt like as a mono account player, it became too hard to really get the kamas flow going to craft/buy new sets or especially dofuses. Would you say it’s still pretty much like that or is it still time consuming/ would you be better off just trading in real money for Ogrines/Kamas?
Hey there Max - thanks for the compliment. Dofus is definitely still a time consuming game, like most MMOs are, but there are some big improvements in areas where it was needed. They have reduced the amount of XP needed for every level, added resources to first time achievements, improved the profession leveling system, and several other small changes that really add up. Getting enough kamas for subscribe is easier for some than others... I've never been very good at it - I pay cash for my subscription, but I'm ok with that - it allows me to use my kamas for gear and such.

last time i played i a sram lvl 200 and sacri , iop and eni about 199 198 198 in a server named lily , they had just introduced eliotropes back then ...
i haven't played dofus in almost a decade but weren't sacri supposed to be bult full vitality ? i amped it's stats using scrolls and stuff but i don't remember ever putting a single point in anything other than vitality ( sacri gain attributes from equipment and damage ... as far as i remember , maybe that changed now )

How are those single account servers? Me and my friends don't play multiple accounts, and it seems like that would be a better environment for us. However... starting from scratch isn't super-inviting.
Obviously, when we just play with each other, there's no difference. But is it easier to get pick up groups there? What's the incentive to start over on one of those servers?
Hi Sines314 - if you're looking for a very active mono-account server, Illyzaelle is my best recommendation... even create just a free character, run down to Astrub, and look around... you'll be able to see right away how busy the server is.
@@Benjamight I was more asking about whether or not it was worth it to start over on one of those servers. Is the community of these servers remarkably different? I can certainly see how things would change, and if me and my buddies were starting from scratch, we'd head right there to start. But, while none of us are wealthy or packing end-game ready characters, it's still a big deal to go there instead of staying put. And if it's not significantly easier to pug or break into the economy, it's probably not worth the trouble.
So, what are the practical benefits there?

Hello Iron - personally, I'd knock out all the free stuff first (Incarnam, Astrub, and each of the 1st surrounding areas)... but if you're wanting to do more exploring - then there's nothing wrong with subbing right away. It does open up a few extra features, but exploration would be the biggest reason at low levels.

Everything I want to know is if the game is free and where I can downloas (how to play) so thats what i searched for but none of the videos i watch give me that info pls explain to me how to play like the main site and if I need to pay anything
Hello Lucas. The game has a free to play area & max level of 60, which is awesome for testing the game out. There is a subscription of about $5 a month, if you want access to the entire game... you can actually use in-game currency to subscribe as well, converting them to Ogrines - but it's not an easy thing to do when completely new to the game... earning enough kamas (the in game currency) takes a lot of work.
To download, just go to Dofus.com, and at the bottom of the screen, you'll see a big green 'DOWNLOAD' button, click that and it should walk you through the install process. On a side note, if you want to play another game by Ankama set in this same universe, they have a completely free game called Wakfu - it's a beautiful fun MMO RPG as well... download process should be the same, but at Wakfu.com.

Just started playing again after a good 8 years off. Playing on echo because that’s what it defaulted me to and plan to play solo. Is echo still good for solo or is it better to play on a non multi account server? I guess it seems like just might be harder to find pvm groups but are there any other reasons to go to a different server?
Welcome back Fajita! Echo is fine for solo, but like you pointed out, it can be a little more difficult to find teams to run with. However, get yourself into an active guild, and you probably won't have any trouble.
You can always start a 2nd character on Ilyzaelle just to see which you prefer, but that's totally up to you. Best of luck!

No, I wouldn't compare the mechanics of them... they both have strengths and weaknesses in different areas. Both are fantastic games, each with their unique set of mechanics.

Hi Tenki - sure thing. Both are made by Ankama and take place in the 'Dofus' Universe... however, Wakfu is set (I think) 10,000 years into the future.
They are both turn-based strategy RPG MMO type games. Dofus is free to play in a select area, and then you have to subscribe to progress further, but Wakfu is completely free to play. Although they have all the same classes, the way the spells work and many other functions inside the game are very different from one another.

Hi Zulol - I'm not aware of there being a restriction, but I honestly don't know... I haven't tried it. I don't recall setting up a phone number with all my accounts, but they are VERY old and I can't remember what all was involved any longer.

Hi Kevin - don't worry, we're not all bots...lol. I think the game is doing awesome, and Ankama is actually working to get Dofus ported over to Unity software down the road, which should greatly improve the performance of the game as well.

@@Assassinss77 Hi Tapi - sounds like you're still in Incarnam, which is kind of the tutorial area. If you head over to the right side of the map, you should see a large portal that's on it's side... talk to the NPC there and click the portal... it should allow you to go down to Astrub.
There, I would fight Piwi's, and fight the color associated with the element you are building your character (Blue for chance, red for intel, etc.). This will allow you to drop the Piwi set, which is my #1 first recommended set for all classes.

Hi there Gheorghe - I actually have done a few different Lets Play series on Dofus. The Quest to 200 series has about 40 episodes and is basically me going through the 'main story' of Dofus. Might be worth a watch if you're looking for something like this, but be warned... my first several episodes are pretty rough...lol. I didn't get a webcam until around episode 14 I think it was too.
