@@WatchYourselfJorge The situation makes zero sense lol. Wanting a watch design to look bad for everybody just to save £10 on an aftermarket strap! Surely watch enthusiasts should want the watch to be its best (which would be on its bracelet or OEM strap option ; )? People seem to have loads of these horrible pin buckle straps, buy an expensive watch, and then plead poverty at getting another cheap strap to fit it 🙄 The whinge used to be availability of 21mm straps (shows how cheap the companies making them are), but as they become available people will switch to moaning about cost. Truth is people largely just instantly moan about 21mm lug width to sound cool and knowledgeable. 19mm does not get the same knee-jerk reaction. I think one of the new Conquest is a 19mm? Ironically it should probably be 20mm, but thats not the point haha. Lots of things in life change/improve and you have to spend money to adapt! USB A/Mini/Micro/C for example. Who wouldn't want USB C now? Well worth having to buy new wall sockets and cables IMO. Signed: 'The Lug Width Vigilante'
Thanks for the review! I love this specific model! For me it is close to perfect! One opinion - there is no fautina - there is green luminova with gilt hands
if it were me id 100% go with the bb54. but honestly theyre very different watches. of course the 54 is much more wearable as its smaller, and its a diver, whereas the longines is a little bigger, less simple and with the gmt functionanilty. what you want it for? like use case?
Love the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and name. I would say the Zulutime is possibly their best watch. 21mm is the least of Longines lug issues though IMO (I have the original in blue). They seem to have some very strange lug lengths and lug width/case combos. I think they made the lugs longer when the first sub 40mm case came out!! The Hydroconquest GMT also has an odd end link gap. The whole lug length/area and taper to clasp thing is a very unloved area of watches for TH-cam. The only thing commenters are interested in is jumping on the 21mm hate bandwagon lol. A 16mm clasp is tiny. Having a 20mm lug width is not going to help it! I think the Moonwatch is 16mm, and lots of potential customers have not bought it solely because of that. General feeling is that it looks like a ladies watch. One even gestured that he would never be able to turn his hand outward in public 😂
If I remember correctly Longines traditionally puts the stars on the dials of the references with the highest grade calibre in the line up - which would currently be the COSC certified movements like the L844 in this beaut…
21 down to 17/18 might make just as much sense ; ) Everybody loved the Pelagos 39, but then again, no reviewer noticed it was 21mm lug width 😂 This whole cheap strap thing is nonsense and people just repeat it because they think it makes them sound cool and knowledgeable 🙄 19mm lug width gets hardly any complaints lol.
@@WatchYourselfJorge Cheapskates width. Microbrand width. No size of anything is the best unless it fits you. Lug width is more a design thing though. Decent brands make 21 (Rolex, Tudor, Omega (?), Grand Seiko, Longines, Tissot). 20/22mm are Microbrand and it will be interesting to see who mans up with the big boys first. CW have cost issues but it would of been nice if the new Luminaire stepped up to the plate IMO. 6.5mm taper sounds extreme to me (if it is 22mm lug width).
They lost me at the 21mm lugs. This thing would look awesome on any number of straps, so ducking away from the single most common strap size when they're already *thisclose* just feels spiteful.
Seriously? 100m water resistance = snorkelling? This zombie myth has *got* to die. Most SCUBA divers don't go any deeper than 18m. Advanced SCUBA divers go no deeper than 30m. After that, you're talking about technical divers, which are as rare as hen's teeth and they don't rely on any kind of mechanical watch for timing dives. This isn't the 1980s anymore - there are standards for this stuff now. 100m means 100m.
100m doesnt mean 100m and most brands acknowledge that. we've done a full video on this topic. 200m is what most brands recommend to actually take a watch diving.
21mm lug width is an issue but it looks so good on the bracelet why would I take it off? The splash of red really makes the dial pop.
Longines certainly have some odd lug designs and width combos, but 21mm is only a problem if you think it looks odd IMO.
i love using different straps so it's an issue for people like me specifically lol
@@WatchYourselfJorge Buy some 21mm straps perhaps 🤷♂
@@wristopia4101 but that's expensive 🤣🤣🤣

I heard the bezel is half ceramic half titanium for the colour difference
Which is super cool
that is sick!!!!
Spirit zulu time is my grail watch
it is a great watch!
I think it looks great! Hope they do a few more colours :)
I'd be surprised if they didn't
I personally prefer "true" manly moustaches which you both have in magnitudes . Keep it up lads .
thank you! were gonna keep this up!

yeah i mean to say gilt 😂sorry and thanks for correcting me
I'm at a crossroad between Tudor Black Bay 54 and the Longines Spirit Zulu Time Titanium. Both watches are amazing!
Please help 😅 😄

I'm sure my opinion will change as I mature in the industry!
The detail on the dial is simply beautiful. Would be nicer without the stars but Longines have produced a great addition to the line-up
its an absolutely excellent addition!
Lovely! I want one, with or without the starry dial
i get that!

they're absolutely brilliant!
I would probably just about get away with the lug length on this
longines do tend to do weirdly long lugs on many of their models!
