Love your channel! Your explanation is very detailed. I get the chance to actually digest the information. But I have a question: why are you not looking at your skating direction? Any tips to practice this on a public session?

+sillyant113 When doing backward crossrolls, you aren't supposed to turn you head back like on the backward crossovers. So it's kinda tricky. What you got to do is to guesstimate where the other skaters will be in relation to your path as you come around the corner. Also use your preferential vision. If you're doing it on a public session, you are probably better off looking behind occasionally. Don't crash into anyone.

I know this vid is quite old but "Avoid looking down, the ice isn't going anywhere", damn this had me offended in a good way haha 😂 😂 thats gonna be one of the things thats gonna stay in my head, just like coaches yelling "bend yoooa kneees kiddo!" 😂

Kseniya and Oleg Official Channel I actually do have a few questions...I'm working on my layback/ scratch spin..do you have any videos related to that, or any advice to give?

+Alice Stone Since they are ice dancers, they are most qualified for ice dancing moves. (Of course, they may do freestyle moves non-competitively? ;) ) I suggest ThinIce's channel. They give tutorials on freestyle and often do requests.

Thanks for sharing these skills in details. One question: I tend to have my weight on my toe or front part of my feet when skating backward. Is there anything I can do to improve? I find it difficult to change this habbit.

Yeah it takes a certain amount of skill and edge control to be able to skate comfortably through your heels both forwards and backwards. Check out our Skating Essentials Playlist, and work 1/2 your time on forward skating and 1/2 on backward skating. You will get there!
