I know you've used dispatch robot for a while but this was the most in depth I've seen you do. Great video brother. Keep the gold rolling...in and out. 😉
Thanks for the tutorial. I want to get away from RV hauling and go hotshot. You’re helping. I need more info, like what type insurance you carry, authority and how you are paid. Thanks again
As a cdl hotshot I use truck stop on my phone through an app. Not the live version. But as a cdl hotshot in not worried about being loaded and finding loads cause I can haul double what’s non cdl can. If I where non cdl I would deff use the live version cause non cdl loads on the boards r only on the boards for seconds. Even better if u have a dispatch that can keep their eyes on the boards for u.
When speaking with the broker, Ask if the Rate posted is an All-In rate. If not Negotiate it into the Rate. Make sure your calculations are done BEFORE You even call the Broker. Sincerely, A Freight Dispatcher.
Question, on the load board on one of the loads you looked at had it classified as "Full Load". Does that mean that the shipper only wants their shipment on the trailer and you cannot add another LTL, if there is space, or are they just giving their estimation that they consider that their load will occupy most of your trailer?
May have to swap back from DAT again. DAT is not as user friendly. Both really should hold brokers feet to the fire about inputting complete and accurate info.
I love you man (not in a gay way)but as a brother and a good human been and good carácter person. Your videos are awesome and very instructive. Keep up the good work and I hope I’ll see you soon on the road my friend. Thank you 🙏 and God bless you and your family!
Hey man I saw you pull in to a pick up in Kent Ohio yesterday I was pulling out with that massive trolly cabwhen you had just pulled in. I think you were picking up a ltl load. Didn’t have time to stop and chat but Just wanted to say safe travels love the videos you helped me get my company rolling been going strong for months now!
In the past I used both DAT and Truckstop but I found them redundant. Maybe, at times, they were a few different loads on a particular board but after your video I think I might give truckstop another chance. If you are advocating using more than 1 board then which other board do you use?
youre in houston???? no way. im looking to get into hot shotting. trying to get my cdl rn and probably drive big rigs for a while first. just for the experience
What to do if our MC Authority is less then 90 days? Alot of brokers said they cannot work with our MC #. I don't see alot of options on TruckStop and DAT too.
currently a company flatbed tractor trailer driver is there a way i can view load board for a month just to see whats out there? or do i need my dot number and all that to get in?
I saw one of your videos and you were talking about getting out of hotshot business. Are still in business or not. I’m contemplating getting into hotshot business and it’s demoralizing when a stablished company just quits.
No longer in business, the big lesson is growing to quickly and insurance raising the rates so high it doesn't make financial sense. additional things to consider - interest rates are high - election year - and so much more. Please do your due diligence before jumping in
One more awesome video Alex that was so informative you are definitely helping newbies in the industry 👍 As always God bless you and stay safe out there 🙋♂️ 🇬🇧
I've always wanted to do some short trip local hot shot runs with my setup round st.louis region but rather run for a company than try to run a company. Need a driver lol
So I’m at the very beginning everything is just a theory at this time….BUT LETS JUST SAY: I have my CDL, I have my truck and my trailer, I have my DOT medical card, DOT # MC#, I have purchased my subscription to one of the load apps…LETS SAY I HAVE EVERYTHING… (I don’t know where the ELD fits into this picture or how it is aquired.
Cal or google keep trucking it’s the one I use and if you want you can tell them Mpire Xpress logistics LLC recommended it to you I might get 50 bucks thanks
Hello Alex , I have been looking for this extension and everyone says it does not exist. Can you help me in this matter please. Would be greatly appreciated
Hey Alex, is using the computer version better than the app? I’ve used the app only for like a year now but I’ve noticed if you type in different towns near by loads that aren’t in the other search but should be pop up or if you refresh a load you don’t see will pop up then you refresh again and it’s gone then refresh again it’s there. But yeah great information man I run two load boards too I don’t even think twice about the payments for them.
Is it possible to start out non cdl driving for someone else to make sure I want to do this before I go buy a truck and trailer? 41 twic clean driving record passport and good credit
take yourself off the screen when showing load board and don't change so fast before letting someone see and understand. we can hear your voice don't need to see you if we trying to see a load board.
I looked for dispatch robot and couldn’t find a link. The only thing I found was super dispatch importer. Is that just another name for it? If not, could you share a link with me?
Partial loads means you should be able to stack multiple loads on your trailer to get the best rate per mile full loads means they want your trailer dedicated just to that one load no matter how small or how big it is even if it's 4 ft by 4 ft and you still have 24 ft of space for instance left on your trailer it doesn't matter you can't put nothing else on there
DAMN SON !!!! DO MORE VIDS LIKE THIS!!! START TO FINISH, FINDING THE LOAD, PICKING IT UP AND DROP. A DAYIN THE LIFE VIDS!!!
Better instructions than the rep I talked to. Thanks a hell of a lot!
Not a hotshot but watching your content makes me very interested in what you guys do... I have a newfound respect for you guys.

I’m actually thinking of doing my own hotshot business and your channel has been helping me decide so thank you definitely subscribed
So did you end up doing it?
Please keep these videos coming it's awesome information and I can say I greatly appreciate every piece of wisdom you share
Great videos. Can you do some Sprinter Cargo van videos with recommendations on load boards?
Bud you have been a inspiration that is unbelievable
I like the new truckstop version. I'm glad it's fixed before I start driving.
I live about 10 miles from the truckstop headquarters, New Plymouth ,Idaho is the lil town they are in, town of about 1500 people.
Good video. I was upset with truck stop for the change lol. But, u taught me something that will help. Thank u
Hey Alex great work Bro 🙌 Does Truckstop also have loads for Box Trucks? Thanks
Thorough walk-through, Alex! Glad they resolved some of the issues that were making you angry lol
just started hotshoting with a 2017 f-250 6.2 gas and ive put 300,000 miles loaded not 1 issue
Finally some useful information 🙏🙏 thank you
Great video!!! helped tremendously!
Which load board would you say is best for CDL Hotshot DAT or Truckstop. Which one would you recommend buying Pro for? Definitely getting the plug in.
Thanks for the tutorial. I want to get away from RV hauling and go hotshot. You’re helping. I need more info, like what type insurance you carry, authority and how you are paid. Thanks again
FYI, it is 300 max radius if you have the standard version.
Would you suggest Truckstop and DAT?

Hi Alex, how do you apply fuel surcharge? Or is it already baked into the rate offered?
When speaking with the broker, Ask if the Rate posted is an All-In rate. If not Negotiate it into the Rate. Make sure your calculations are done BEFORE You even call the Broker. Sincerely, A Freight Dispatcher.

It means you "can't pick up anything else". Some times they require daily pictures of your trailer.

What authority do you need for using this load board
Either a carrier or broker authority
Does truckstop have loads for cargo van and pickup truck also local runs
Can you still get loads on this load board with new authority
Yes. It’s the broker that will decide if you get the load
How much is a reasonable amount per mile?
Enough to cover all your expenses and make profit for your company
Great content👍

Just about to pick up my 40ft pj strait deck with torsion axles 8k and gen y coupler. Really looking to get leased on to start off.

Great info, I have TS rep wearing me out but I haven't pulled the trigger because I don't hotshot but one of my trucks has a flat bed.

does truckstop have canada loads as well? want to do a video showing searches for canada cities?
Very few Canada loads, also I don’t have Canada authority so I can’t haul them

The old Truckstop site was out of date. Good to see them keeping up with the times.

What’s a good rate per mile
Awesome video
Willing to mentor a VET?
Single tire axle or dully
better go with something that can haul everything than to choose something that might break down on the road with the load...
Hey TP can you use truck stop for local Loads??
Yes
@@TowPiglet thanks
I wish there was some apps like this in the Philippines also.. Theres some but covers only Metro Manila area.
What's the difference between full and partial loads?
Partial loads means you should be able to stack multiple loads on your trailer to get the best rate per mile full loads means they want your trailer dedicated just to that one load no matter how small or how big it is even if it's 4 ft by 4 ft and you still have 24 ft of space for instance left on your trailer it doesn't matter you can't put nothing else on there
Nice!! Very informative... :-)
