You have become the very definition of Entrepreneur!!! Driver... Online courses... Counseling... TH-cam influencer... I’ll be honest, I’m kinda inspired.
Thx for sharing sir; I started in April of this year grossed about half of what you did…. Ideally as it was explained to me; hotshot is good for a year or 2 but these duallys simply aren’t meant to last like a big big. I put 67k on my ram 4500 this year & will run it until the warranty is done ~ 200k. Good luck to you in 2024
Ya thats why I look at my rate per mile so seriously. whether im working the truck, driving locally, deadheading somewhere, ect. A Mile is A Mile. If my truck is making me money every single mile. Then it's worth buying a new truck if it's making you money, or at least until you find a better opportunity in life. With that being said you really don't want to do hotshot more than 4 years anyways. It ought on family life and your health. But what hotshot is good for, is getting your feet into the door of the logistics industry. The Biggest industry in the world.
I didnt think dodge had a warranty on anything over a 1500. Diesels really have a warranty? then why dont they cover heater grid failure and costing 20k to repair engine when the nut drops in cylinder 6 on the 6.7?
Keep on Trucking!!! Stuart you motivate me a lot thank you so much. I havent got to start hotshot yet due to being active duty in the army but i am learning as much as i possibly can now before i get out and i make sure i have seen EVERY one of your videos and will continue to. Hopefully we could hang out one day im 2 minutes away from Kentucky so not far from you at all! Keep on doing good things!
Lets!!! Gooo!!! 2024!!! Thanks @tg9388. I literally do the same thing. I'll be watching someone's video comment and then later down the road want to respond in the comment section to more things they said later in the video. But nice to see your excited about 2024, I am too. I wish you the best in all areas of your life tg9388
@@Babylionhotshot just went to trailer store in TX and comparing the Lone Star vs PJ and Diamond C.... I'm also thinking about doing more Oil field hotshot but that would mean I don't need air bags... Still planning to get your course to help guide me along this process
@@tg9388 nice! Ya the Diamond C’s are going to be more expensive but they are better quality. But no matter what you get brand wise. Make sure it has Air Ride. You will thank me later. Besides the fact that some loads you see on the load board require air ride, air Ride is safer and minimize the chance of your fright coming insecure. You won’t understand that until you drive through some of the cities in the country. The road can get “3rd world country bad. Also if you take an oil field load from Wyoming to Dallas. When you drop in Dallas you’ll be taking other freight. As a flatbed you can prefer to take one type of commodity but be prepared to take anything and everything you can.
@@Babylionhotshot Since I'm new I'll get your course, wait few months until my DOT/MC is setup then buy the correct trailer which seems to be Diamond C 35+5 with air ride, 17.5" tires, spread axles then buy it once my MC is ready.
I suggest you pay yourself a wage for 60cpm and that remaining 28cpm reinvest 20 and pay taxes on 8cpm. Looks great on return and avoid audit and separate llc and personal so there's no connection. 2nd run your authority under llc1 investment can go towards llc2 aka new equipment. Backoffice can later expand to assets backed brokerage and hire office expand. Wreck or whatever
I got in this game earlier this year. It was grand opening grand closing. I left a 80k salary to scratch this itch I had. It wasn’t worth it for ME so I got out. Im thankful to God my old job took me. Glad I gave it a shot, wasn’t for me. Best wishes
What about 15% comp the government gets plus maintenance cost? Truck & Tailer payments? Insurance? Taxes? Permits? I would be surprised if you aren’t underwater before you turn the key. I wish you the best, it is a tough journey out there.
Yea. Get yer cdl and work for someone else at that rate. Way less stress and more money in yer pocket. Im home daily working 4 12s and I've already done that this year. Local CDL gig is the play man. Logs/fuel/Groceries whatever.
Very nice to hear some positive feed back, I appreciate you. Without people like you, being vulnerable and showing all my numbers knowing I'll be judged would be much more difficult. Not to mention Hotshot is difficult in its self. Again thanks 🙏 and I hope you thrive in 2024 too.
@edwinduran6691 I made way more than this guy...but what I made has nothing to do with the fact that this guy is misleading and not giving people all the information they need to make a good decision...just so he can sell a course or get referral bonuses
Stuart thanks for the advice. I'm not working for the company that charges 30% of load. I found someone that charges 10% to lease on plus I pay 2.5% factoring fee. They charge 5% to dispatch but encourage me to dispatch myself. I will in a couple of weeks after I get comfortable strapping a load and delivering it safely and on time. Also I pay my own insurance of about 1300 a month fully covered truck, trailer and load. I'll get my mc# and DOT# and let it age for about 6 months and then l'll be on my own. The way I see it I'm only losing 10%. All the other expenses I would still have to pay being on my own.
Ya you'er pretty much right. Definitely get rid of the dispatching free as soon as you can. All these things are a slow learning process but you're out there and trying. booking your own load is scary at first know your cost per mile and know what works for you. because believe it or not there are brokers out there that don't care if you make any money 😉. One thing to consider is that you will have to keep insurance for your trucking company on file with the FMCSA. And if you're running loads under another MC number and get into an accident, That might be a loophole for an insurance company not to pay out. IDK im not a professional with that stuff but one thing I can say.... is that once you get your own authority I highly doubt you will even last 2 months working for someone else when you can take the loads yourself and set up factoring straight into your bank account. Learn what you can as fast as you can with what you're doing right now, and start your own journey with your own company as soon as you feel comfortable. Also a major thing to keep in mind! If by some Miracle 40%of your gross is profit (which in my experience would be considered high, but lets stay on the best case scenario) and they are taking 10%. Thats 25% of your Profit. Having your own company will increase your profit 25%. And I know you know this and are on the right track. I wish you the best Concyman
So great video. However I really hope your fixed rpm has taxes maintenance and a business growth budget built into that. If not then you are making about $30k.
Not even gonna lie. I have been a massive hater of yours since day one. You have since changed that opinion. I seriously give you props for sticking it out, growing, and battling these shit times when many of us got out of trucking. It's really nice to see you keep fighting for success. Keep it up, keep growing, and succeeding. Just be careful, don't get greedy, and don't let DOT ramrod you.
Thanks Tyler I have been watching your videos for a while too. Thanks for the love, You know just as well as I do that the number are just one part of the game. It's hard and especially being away from home all the time. In my hart I do want to bring the truth about hotshot to people that are researching it just like you did. My Master Plan is to put all the CDL schools that charge 5K$ out of business and have schools all over the place that can get a CDL to someone for under $1,000. Also Teach people how to set up their own authority so they don't get taken advantage of from these scumbags out there. I am so glad to read your comment and that made my day. I hope you have a great new year Tyler Thanks again. PS: DOT has lube ready to go for me one day, I guarantee that lol
@Babylionhotshot I laughed really hard at your DOT remark. 🤣🤣 Yes, sir, people dont get it until they live it, and then its a constant battle to make enough money. Yeah, man, it's true even I got taken advantage of when first starting. Especially now with the cdl stuff, it's so expensive, but little do people know you can do online ELDT and then go test if you have your own equipment. It gets expensive and long when you have to go to someone's school and use their equipment to test. Happy New Year to you also, and I hope you have great success. I hope to return to HS within a couple years.
Recommend producing another statistic... Profit ÷ total hours worked = earned hourly rate. Let "Total hours worked" = (booking time + load time + road time + off load time) With this number, one can compare this profession vs. other professions. It seems to me the money in trucking is in mechanical repair and towing. Then owning a fleet of rigs and hiring good people to run them. When not running, your people are retrieving & repairing broken down rigs. I don't know sh!t about trucking, but I know something about managing a fleet of planes. Principles from that industry could be applied to trucking. As an example, when hiring cargo pilots, we like them educated with their Airframe & Powerplant Certification to both fly and fix planes ‐ much cheaper doing your own maintenance. Overall, I love your videos! Very educational and learning a lot from your real-world experiences.
@GalaxyShotShot Sounds like you should make videos and show people how to do it since you know so much.... Set the record straight instead of talking shit. This is a community, everyone should elevate each other to grow the industry instead of running mouth then complaining about how new people keep ruining the industry by taking cheap loads...
Because of your videos I'm going to get into the mix also! BTW anyone can get the CDL and get paid to do it. I worked for Pepsi and got it there! If that helps anyone?
So this isn’t including IFTA expenses, break downs? Tires? Services? I don’t know if this is a dumb question but I went through the video a couple times and didn’t hear anything about that. Thank you
No question is dumb. I dint even know what a rate con is when I started. But to answer your question. Ya I have everything in my cost per mile. that way it makes the math easy. tiers are .02 cents of my Cost per mile and I plan on doing a video on my cost per mile soon, Very soon.
I am currently considering investing in your course from your website. Love this video. Was curious to know the single most expensive overhead cost that’s eating so much into your profit.
Id say the biggest single number in my CPM(Cost Per Mile) is .60 Cents for my truck and trailer. My set up cost $120,000. (80k for the truck, 7k for the bed and 33K for the trailer.) I want my equipment paid off by 200,000 Miles. I know im paying it off aggressively but id rather cry now than cry later. Now once my truck and trailer are paid off, the trailer will pretty much last for a long time(idk exactly how long but it will out let the truck). The truck will probably run for another 150,000Miles I hope. Than that .60 Cents that im taking out for my equipment will go away and I'll be making real good money by my definition. But Paying off the equipment at a rate of .60 a mile is doable but does take discipline. I do wish you the best and I'll see you in the course. Im still adding to it but the main info is in there. step by step and exactly who to contact for your Cheap CDL. Setting up an LLC. Registering for your own USDOT Number and MC number and paying no sales tax on your equipment.
Thanks for the informative video. I’m currently working a full time job and looking to get into hot shot on the side until I can replace my salary completely. I did some research with which truck I wanted and what I could afford and what would be reliable for my budget. I’m wondering with your numbers about how much you worked. Your chart has how many miles you did for the half of the year and you broke it down into how much you made per mile. I’m curious has to each month how many days did you work.
Do you have any videos on how you started and an in depth step by step video on what you had to to to have your buisness? I am 18 currently and looking to start a trucking buisness so I am doing lots of homework so advice and guidance could really help
since your younger than 21 I think a CDL Might be a killer for you. But there is a better route you can go down. FREIGHT BROKERING. Id look into it. You can have a nice long carrier and make lots of money after about a year or 2. I have hade over 3 brokers tell me they make 250k+ a year but full disclosure they had been doing it for 10+ years and or knew someone in the business already. Which I would recommend finding someone in the business to learn from anyways.good luck bro. I will eventually be a broker. shhh🤫
Are they assuming any of your cost if you lease on with a company like maybe the Insurance? Would those cost they assume then make your cost go down and profit go up some?
Really tracking number of loads and loads gross don’t tell you anything. Just track monthly revenue, monthly fuel costs, and monthly miles. Those would be your variable numbers. Equipment and insurance payments would be your fixed costs. Maintenance and repairs subtracted after that would leave what’s leftover to pay yourself.
Thank you men. I have a question! What is the best deal if the other person is providing with truck, flat bed, Insurance, etc ....... And I only have to drive ??? Thanks
Ya I mean if you're getting your bills paid thats the start. You obviously have your CDL. You have the desire to make more. And that is a recipe for success and forward movement in your life. And because you have put in the work and continue to maintain your Job I know you're a hustler. I'm rooting for you. With that being said. I have talked to some drivers and they tell me their pay per mile and also it being every mile. My next question naturally is, How many mile do you drive a week? Also more factors may play into a decision to hop ship like if you have kids and stuff like that. It take money to get started but I think the biggest benefit of all building out your own business and having huge growth potential. When it's your trucking company you make the decisions. And you can always put your Agenda first. Good luck out there and drive safe @1116Redneck
We all have a different opinion on what enough money is and in mine with your numbers these are not very good. Divide that 56,000 by the amount of hours your in that truck and see how much your making per hour, it won’t be very good. You put about 3 times the amount of miles on your vehicle as a normal driver would and I can’t imagine how many hours and days you were away from home. This is a tough business all around.
This is a tough business indeed! Thats a fact and the time away from home sucks. BUT.... when I first started this its almost like I didn't pick this but my back was against the wall and I had to do something. And that something had to make good money no Matter how much it sucked. With my back up against a financial wall when I started to now.... I think that this trucking thing could pull more people out of a financial hole if you are a hard working. Thats why I have the drive to make videos. I want success for everyone that want to put in the work and make sacrifices. One last point I do want to start saying on the channel is that Hotshot is just a starting place/ A Place where you can get yourself in a position to learn an industry while making money. (Unlike going to a school) Then you can shoot any which direction, for example... Freight brokering, Semi truck Driver, Hire people under your own authority, get into selling commercial truck insurance, heavy haul, dispatcher... So many opportunities its worth a look. Hope you have a great new year and thanks for interacting and bringing up some of the Darker but true areas of Trucking.
Heard that. Freight Brokering. I'll probably eventually look into that. But It better than a lot of other Jobs that are in my realm. Also I don't have any kids. That would really Make it hard.
I have 3 accidents I was only the driver of 1 accident but my son crashed one time and my x wife as well . Insurance says I have 3 at fault accident in 5 years . Can I get my cdl and will anyone Insure me ?
Honestly I would even try. but to offer some light for the situation. I would look into freight brokering. go work for someone and learns the ropes. That could be a good avenue if you stick with it. you can make a good living after about a year.
The only thing that will prevent you from getting a CDL is if you fail any of the tests. However you probably will not be able to be insured irregardless of rate.
So I was able to pass my skills test . I found a company that will insure me . I only need to wait 3 months . They and go back 2 years and in 3 months I will not have any issues on my license. Hallelujah
Too much risk and im not going to do people dirty and take 30% anything less then robbing people isn't worth it so I can see both sides. so I just choose to teach people how to start there own. It's actually cheaper believe it or not.
Not from May 17th to December 22nd while averaging a 2 week work month. Thats Less half a year. Also in about a year I'll have a paid off 23' 550 and 22' Dimond C Step Deck. Ware house isn't the way for me. But some people out there have kids and cherish being home every night more than I do. I'm Sure it will be harder than it already is once kids come into the picture.
Hey Stuart, love your channel and I am looking forward to getting started myself next year. How is it that you only profit 37%. Do you factor in personal expenses and company expenses together? Do you pay yourself a salary or just keep your expenses separate????
Well I profit 37% because thats what the numbers tell me. Gross/Milage driven= Rate Per Mile Rate Per Mile - Cost per Mile ($1.44)= .88 Cents Per Mile Profit .88 Cents of my Gross per mile = 37.94% Then your next question is probably thats a high rate per mile, Isn't it? Im guessing here and trying to explain to you so I can give you value. Thanks for checking out my channel too. Just fuel is at least .50 Per mile. If you're getting 8MPG and Fuel Costs are $4 Per Gallon. Truck and trailer Payment thats another .60 Cents. (which the trailer payment will eventually fall off ) Anyways thats not even getting into insurance and everything else and we are already at a $1.10. Soooo.. anyways I hope I answered some part of your question. Thanks Again.
@@bartg7790yes he does. Also the pay per hour he averaged would be nice to see but he probably didn’t track that. And the hours you work will include all the calls you have to make to set up theses hauls, all the time you spend buying, fixing, using the computer, miscellaneous. No cheating on how much time is really spent. As a business owner I know what I do everyday that my subs don’t have to!
I put about 2 days into making this. I saw your comments and others I hope this helps. I teach you how to build your own step by step. babylionhotshot.teachable.com/p/excel-for-hotshot-trucking
I’m leased on and I do way more then 2.00 a mile. I can show you waybills. Acme truck line takes 30%. I’m home just about every night and I take home 100,000 a year. From Louisiana to Texas is 220 miles. The load pays 1200, I get 70%. And I’m back home for the night. Leasing on to big established companies with their direct customers isn’t that bad.
Hi Stuart, I am just starting out in Hotshot trucking and have a few questions. In the 6 months you worked in this video, how many hours per week did you work? (Approximately)
I have converted into hours before and it was like 30$ an hour..... but that was counting even the hours you are sleeping. because I count when im away from home im working
In my view looking at pay rate per hour doesn’t really work for trucking. This is an industry where you’re going to be away from home. The military is another example. The argument of I can get more per hour working at Lowes or McDonald’s doesn’t compare because you will never work enough hours to earn what you can make per week in trucking if you’re successful. The real question is can I have the quality of life I desire doing this job …
Not to mention all the nice stuff we have and get because we can wright it off, computers cameras trailers trucks drones chains tarps binders office supplies everything really
Ya I should have been louder about that. I showed the May date but I figure people would forget that by the end or where I told them the gross number. Hope you're doing well. Im going to shout you out in one of my next videos to see if it helps your videos because I really do feel like you make great videos. IDK why the algorithm its picking up on it. none the less Imma seek you in a mention
@@Babylionhotshot I appreciate that Stu. Maybe you will get a load coming through Orlando and we can shoot one together. You have my number, Happy New Year!
You know thanks for the question. So im actually seeing this question a lot. I honestly believe that there is a better education system than what we have know. Because in the school system the only thing we don't learn about is taxes; But then when we turn into adults it's suddenly the most important thing on earth. Don't you think the Adults would be teaching the students about taxes. Ok so before taxes I make 37% I choose to spend/ Reinvest every dollar back into the business which allows me to write off (meaning don't pay tax on the "income") these purchases as Business expenses. Tax deductible if you spend money on anything ordinary and necessary to run your business. With that being said my world revolves around my work so everything eventually trickles down to a business expense. I have more buying power this way so I choose to stay at operating as a business rather than living in a world where they can tax the hell out of my income. Let me know if im crazy Id Love you hear your thoughts on this.
No that’s the way I do all of my business that’s the best way to do it but still I will recommend you to paid yourself as a driver something insignificant at least.30 cents per mile also how many day out the month you usually run? Btw thank you for response
I have a mobile DJ business and I operate at a "loss" every year by ensuring that I reinvest all my earnings back into the business. Helps a lot with taxes.
I think I saw your other comment and responded to it. But I extended the Discounted price till the end of January. If you click on the Baby Lion Hotshot Academy link below the Cheap CDL on the home page of the babylionhotshot.com website. You will also get access to the future videos I upload on there that I will hopefully have done by the end of January. Thanks Iray801
2.32 Gross every single mile, deadhead and/or loaded. my profit out of that rate per mile is .88 cent. idk if thats good or bad. I just know that what my numbers came out.
I run my fuel cost at about .50 cents a Mile. so if I drive 10,000 miles that's 5,000 Dollars. I say .50 cents because I figure 8 miles to the gallon at $4 a gallon. comes out to be .50 Cents
I have all that info on babylionhotshot.com trust me it's worth it. im in contact with people that bought the cheap cdl course and they were thanking me for all the money I saved them.
so by the time you take away $1000.00 a month for truck payment not including maintenance, and $500.00 a month for trailer payment. Your making $40k for 8 mos of hauling. NOT WORTH BEING GONE.
Wassuo bro, I tried to see if you had instagram but couldn’t find it 😬but I had questions about hotshot trucking. If I’m a brand new authority with a truck and trailer that’s paid off would it be smart for me to hire a driver? Would I see good profit? Another question that I had even though I know it depends , but can you get local loads possibly every 2 days paying around (Example: $250 - $300) as a new authority? And lastly how does loads work, for example I hear some guys say ( there’s a load going from Alabama to Atlanta ) but what if my truck is in New York? Would that mean you’d have to dead head there or find a load that’s going that same direction? Sorry for all these questions just stuck on how it works😭
1. I would hire a driver. It's already hard enough to make a decent profit and the money you will make isn't worth being on the phone with them all the time problem solving. But it is a good thought in theory. If I think I could make lots of money without putting my MC number at risk ( like my driver having an accident) I would put someone in my F-250 and big tex trailer. Also i have spoken to people that did hire on drivers that messed up their MC number and insurance rates and now they don't hire people on. 2. Yes you can find local runs but that depend hugely on where you live. I could easily make 200$ a day locally but im not working 5 days a week to make $1,000. Thats not going to get me too far. Just something to think about. 3. Now you're making me work, lol im kidding. Ya so you just go on the load board, which is an application on your phone and find postings that are by where you are currently with your truck and trailer. you can use the filter options to make this a quick search. If you fond a load in Alabama and you're in NY. That would be a no go for you. Put in the filters option on your load board, ( current location +250 Mile radius) That what I do. Lots to learn and questions to answer that why im building out my website that will be a tremendous help for people. Wish you the best bro keep a Clear vision. and remember what ever you end up doing in life... your plan is your plan
My honest thoughts: I thought that it would appeal to more Semi drivers and make them consider starting out with their own MC#. I want to inspire people who may have forgot that starting your own business is still an option if you let your mind wonder down that road.
IMO running for a company vs this hot shotter is less than beneficial. True you are your own boss but with a company you get paid as much but less hassles... Depending on the company.
That 38% is the money I made before taxes. Since I choose to reinvest every single dollar then thats me spending money untaxed so I have more buying power. Reinvesting make the business stronger and then more money comes your way faster. IDK if im answering your question but pretty much that whole 38% is up to me to spend as I wish wether that be on personal things or business. hope I answered your question Tommy
Honestly the Sensor in the Brand New truck is a piece of SHI* im guessing 7-9 Depending if im loaded or not. Colorado is up there with lower oxygen so thats on the lower end for sure when im out there. I also round sadly when im figuring out how much I spent on fuel. I say 4$ even if I didn't spend over 3.80 a gallon all week long. o and my gears are 4-10. What ever the hell that means but I know it's like a middle grade between my f250 gearing and an f650.
He said dead head is included. Meaning he's driving that truck only for work . When he's home I'm sure he don't go to 711 in his 550 . Make sense? It's still on the job miles your just not getting paid but it's still cost you fuel time insurance payments etc.
I mean..... im not going to lie sometimes I sneak to get some coffee in it at home lol... No but fore real I do 99% only use that for work and since I believe a mile is a mile that why dead head doesn't really matter to me. Obviously you want to not dead head any longer then you have to but if your out in Utah and the ONLY load is 300 Miles a way... Dead head distant matter.... just add the total number of DH miles to the loaded miles, Then divide that by the gross so it should look like ($/Miles) It will make life easier. If my Math is wrong then you arent thinking right. I dream about this stuff all day all night. I love running numbers. I Know that no matter how many people are like your numbers are wrong or you need to be making more.... I know the truth im im making money because business don't speak in any other language then Math. Ps: Not all of that was in response to your comment I just did feel like clicking on another person because it all kinda ties into what you said. Appreciate your support Hope you have a great new year
@@Babylionhotshot no sir what I’m saying is you are dividing your gross by the 63k on your dash to get an average PRM and that’s not correct because all miles are not being paid a rate. So that’s not a true number. I get your thinking process though. Either way good job and don’t stop at it! Happy new year it’s only gonna get better from here on!
Feel like youre taking a lot of time off and taking your videos more serious than actually trying to build your business. Also a brand new f550 and a $33k trailer is so unnecessary in your second year lol so many expenses
I have learned quickly when I was non cdl that I do the same job as a semi truck driver but they make more because they have bigger equipment. So I went as big as I could financially and I think having my set up is an advantage as my brother and I have proven when we compete against each other quite often. I should put out a video showing the actual difference in expenses for the ratio against the extra reward/money. Long story short bigger expenses bigger profits.
You have to remember I'll have may truck and trailer paid off by 200K Miles. So im projecting my truck will last about 350,000 miles, in between 200K miles and 350K Miles my Cost Per Mile will drop .60 Cents. So I'll be bringing in "if I drive 10K Miles a month" an extra 6K$ a Month on top of my profits I already make. O and My trailer will out last 3 trucks, I'm certain of it With minimal maintenance. Maybe I make the same as drivers now but I will pass them up. I also am building relationships and those are hard to put a price on. Just wanted to provide so more perspective. Thanks for the Comment Alpha_Omega_Kennels
@@Babylionhotshot yea no I understand that I really want to start hotshoting this year I been driving big rigs for 3 years now but this video really discouraged me I have an 01 f250 7.3 paid off that I wanted to start with and the cash to buy my 40ft trailer out right but this year I did 115 as a driver and about 60 hours a week all year so seeing this idk if it would be worth it especially because when I check the load boards I don’t really see loads paying more then 2.39
I have talked to many people that got the Cheap CDL Course, mainly to get some feedback about how the school I sent them to treated them. And they thank me. Maybe I'll bring them on the Channel to share their experience. But it's really nice helping people out and I think I have found an area in trucking that few people are in.... and that genuinely helping people. I hope I can change your opinion about me in the future.
Dude these numbers are horrible. Your costs are WAY too high and gross is way too low. You need to let me show you how to get better paying freight. If you’re getting more then 50% of your loads from brokers then you will never make it.
@babylionhotshot I know the numbers can be different for everyone, but it would be nice to know what the very final net number would be after Uncle Sam takes his share.
Awesome video. I have a 2021 53ft gooseneck trailer I am trying to sell. If anyone wants details let me know and we'll figure out how to connect. I'm located in 37075.
Shoot I think I need to change the price back down to $299 instead of $499. Because I had that as an expiration till the end of the year but I didn't get all of the courses done yet. The Essentials are there though. Cheap CDL, MC & DOT Number, LLC Formation, and 0% Sales Tax. I'll lower it now. And you will have access to the rest of the Videos I up load on there in the future. Im planning to have them done by the end of January. Thanks for your Support Iray801
Thanks! For all your financial advice, I’ve learned a lot !!
It doesn't sound like there's a whole lot of money coming to you.At the end of everything, you have a whole lot of responsibility
Hey, just wanted to say happy new year still watching the video but here comes 2024. Let’s go.
Lets!!! Gooo!!!
Great video!! Most people don’t have a clue what they make.
Awesome work Stu. Keep up the hard work. Hustle hard! May 2024 be even better to you ✌🏼
And the same to you Fishing4dinner! I have a great feeling it will be a good year but with that, I will be a work slave with a smile
Thank you so much for all the information you are providing. This is an excellent channel!
Great video I wish you the best
Im leasing On and i get %90 of the rate, i also have 23 years experience and a couple million miles!
Damn thats a good rate and actually make it vary juice to say thats the way to go. They are letting you Eat!! and thats good business!

Hopefully truck and trailer payments, insurance, and maintenance costs are included in CPM.
Yea. Get yer cdl and work for someone else at that rate. Way less stress and more money in yer pocket. Im home daily working 4 12s and I've already done that this year. Local CDL gig is the play man. Logs/fuel/Groceries whatever.
Idc what anyone has to say you made Bread this year bro Good for you keep gettin it I hope you touch 300k in 2024
Very nice to hear some positive feed back, I appreciate you. Without people like you, being vulnerable and showing all my numbers knowing I'll be judged would be much more difficult. Not to mention Hotshot is difficult in its self. Again thanks 🙏 and I hope you thrive in 2024 too.

Thank you Stuart. You have inspired me. Hope to see you on the road buddy. Much success to you!@@Babylionhotshot
So great video. However I really hope your fixed rpm has taxes maintenance and a business growth budget built into that. If not then you are making about $30k.
I'm getting a GMC 3500 HD denali, for hotshot. My next step is my MC/DOT Do I need to have my commercial insurance activated, before I can get them?
MC/DOT #, then insurance and BOC3, Then you're good. but I don't know if your CDL of not you may need iota and Apportion plates too.
Thanks for the info 💯
You bet! Thanks for the support!
Yes, sir, people dont get it until they live it, and then its a constant battle to make enough money.
Let "Total hours worked" = (booking time + load time + road time + off load time)
With this number, one can compare this profession vs. other professions.
Love it
I am currently considering investing in your course from your website.
Thanks. Did you figure in your insurance into the average per mile that it costs you? Just clarifying that the .88 per mile is after your insurance.
Thanks
30% to lease on includes insurance in most cases
I'm driving a semi truck now and I get .48 a mile, but they pay me that for every mile. It's not a lot bit it pays my bills . I'd like to make more
Ya I mean if you're getting your bills paid thats the start.
Apply at sharp one in Chicago, they pay 60 cents a mile
What does the cost per mile include? Payments, gas, maintenance, etc?
We all have a different opinion on what enough money is and in mine with your numbers these are not very good. Divide that 56,000 by the amount of hours your in that truck and see how much your making per hour, it won’t be very good. You put about 3 times the amount of miles on your vehicle as a normal driver would and I can’t imagine how many hours and days you were away from home. This is a tough business all around.
It’s not worth the time away from family , that’s why I got out of it
@@elwinestrada1335 yes I agree, it will also wear out a very good expensive truck.
I really like all the info you provide 🔥🔥. Thank you
I have 3 accidents I was only the driver of 1 accident but my son crashed one time and my x wife as well .
It depends on the accidents, who was at fault, and how long ago.
Open an llc and then hire yourself w2 as a driver. Hire a attorney to clean up the wreck records.
Hallelujah
When would you start letting people lease on you 😅💪🏼
Too much risk and im not going to do people dirty and take 30% anything less then robbing people isn't worth it so I can see both sides. so I just choose to teach people how to start there own. It's actually cheaper believe it or not.
Hi. I'm Alexsandro and live in the Florida. I'm finding a job to driver no CDL. I'm available to long travel
That's awesome I Wish you the best of luck
What part of florida?
56k you can get thst in a warehouse while being home everynight

Gross/Milage driven= Rate Per Mile
Rate Per Mile - Cost per Mile ($1.44)= .88 Cents Per Mile Profit
.88 Cents of my Gross per mile = 37.94%
Then your next question is probably thats a high rate per mile, Isn't it?
Im guessing here and trying to explain to you so I can give you value. Thanks for checking out my channel too.
Just fuel is at least .50 Per mile. If you're getting 8MPG and Fuel Costs are $4 Per Gallon. Truck and trailer Payment thats another .60 Cents. (which the trailer payment will eventually fall off ) Anyways thats not even getting into insurance and everything else and we are already at a $1.10.
Soooo.. anyways I hope I answered some part of your question. Thanks Again.
@@Babylionhotshot Do you still have to deduct income tax from that 37%?
@@bartg7790yes he does. Also the pay per hour he averaged would be nice to see but he probably didn’t track that. And the hours you work will include all the calls you have to make to set up theses hauls, all the time you spend buying, fixing, using the computer, miscellaneous.
I'm curious to know how many hours you're working so we can see how much per hour this is.
I have converted into hours before and it was like 30$ an hour..... but that was counting even the hours you are sleeping. because I count when im away from home im working
@Babylionhotshot if u count ur hours while ur sleeping for the whole 7 months it will be more like $11 hr....
Not to mention all the nice stuff we have and get because we can wright it off, computers cameras trailers trucks drones chains tarps binders office supplies everything really
how many years of driver's license does it take to start hot shooting
Remember he is showing 8 months. 12 months would be $221,547 gross based on these averages.
First year, you learned a ton.
Sheesh looks like I’ll keep my job 😂😂 I wouldn’t get out of bed for those numbers and I’m guessing there’s little to no benefits either
Question so your salary comes out that 37% or it was included on the 63% and how much you paid yourself?
You know thanks for the question. So im actually seeing this question a lot. I honestly believe that there is a better education system than what we have know. Because in the school system the only thing we don't learn about is taxes; But then when we turn into adults it's suddenly the most important thing on earth. Don't you think the Adults would be teaching the students about taxes.
Ok so before taxes I make 37%
I choose to spend/ Reinvest every dollar back into the business which allows me to write off (meaning don't pay tax on the "income") these purchases as Business expenses.
Hey man, how do I pay the $300 for everything I need to know like you say? Your website wants $199 for the CDL alone. Thanks!
I think I saw your other comment and responded to it. But I extended the Discounted price till the end of January. If you click on the Baby Lion Hotshot Academy link below the Cheap CDL on the home page of the babylionhotshot.com website. To summon it up, you gross $147,000 a year, But you're take home was $57,000. Does that $57,000 get taxed.
How much per mile with deadhead i skipped around
2.32 Gross every single mile, deadhead and/or loaded. my profit out of that rate per mile is .88 cent. idk if thats good or bad. I just know that what my numbers came out.
Did you calculate your fuel cost for the 6 months yet?
I'll throw mine out there. $0.59 per mile since August 1.
Ya Sounds about Right because if you get 8MPG and Fuel is 4$ then that gets you to .50 cents@@williamobraidislee3433
I run my fuel cost at about .50 cents a Mile. so if I drive 10,000 miles that's 5,000 Dollars. I say .50 cents because I figure 8 miles to the gallon at $4 a gallon. comes out to be .50 Cents
@@Babylionhotshotno I meant how much money you spent on fuel, the real number, for 6 months. Like the total of $10k $20k in fuel receipts
How do you calculate the CPM?
How did you get your cdl I need to know
I have all that info on babylionhotshot.com trust me it's worth it. im in contact with people that bought the cheap cdl course and they were thanking me for all the money I saved them.
so by the time you take away $1000.00 a month for truck payment not including maintenance, and $500.00 a month for trailer payment. Your making $40k for 8 mos of hauling. NOT WORTH BEING GONE.
Can I use my delete 2021 l5p duramax? Would that be an issue??
if DOT does inspection and dips you def tank and it comes up its deleted it' s a massive fine and that truck can't operate until def system is fixed.
Hello buddy!.
How many net amount you have earn in these months.?
@@Babylionhotshot appreciate it bro👌🏽
Do you have people leased on to you
why did you put a semi in the vid if your in a hotshot?? lol
My honest thoughts: I thought that it would appeal to more Semi drivers and make them consider starting out with their own MC#. I want to inspire people who may have forgot that starting your own business is still an option if you let your mind wonder down that road.
How many hours did it take to do that?
IMO running for a company vs this hot shotter is less than beneficial. True you are your own boss but with a company you get paid as much but less hassles... Depending on the company.
Is that 38% before or after you took a salary for yourself.
@Babylionhotshot no...u did not answer the question....let me ask this way...if u had a driver....is that 38% after you paid him?
How much are you paying for insurance?
$2,200 😭😭😭 Progressive and for me and my brother its $4,400/mo
I forget do u have a cdl?
Wait you gross 147
And cleared 50 grand ?
I'm confused
whats your mpg average?
Honestly the Sensor in the Brand New truck is a piece of SHI* im guessing
7-9 Depending if im loaded or not.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

The only problem you have is that 63k miles weren’t all loaded miles to get a true number.
He said dead head is included. Meaning he's driving that truck only for work . When he's home I'm sure he don't go to 711 in his 550 . Make sense? It's still on the job miles your just not getting paid but it's still cost you fuel time insurance payments etc.
@@1legOVERCOMERthat’s not .88 profit per mile then
I mean..... im not going to lie sometimes I sneak to get some coffee in it at home lol...
Brokers stop robbing drivers. Do away with brokers and find some direct connects if you want to make the best rates.
Chump change that new guy Alex is at $500k in 6 months man
What guy? Give me the channel please.
@@tommy.unfiltered it’s BS. Don’t believe him
Feel like youre taking a lot of time off and taking your videos more serious than actually trying to build your business.
@@Babylionhotshot I decided to go full CDL right out of the gate as well because I want to maximize my opportunity.
These are horrible numbers you can make that as a driver with no risk
@@Babylionhotshot yea no I understand that I really want to start hotshoting this year I been driving big rigs for 3 years now but this video really discouraged me I have an 01 f250 7.3 paid off that I wanted to start with and the cash to buy my 40ft trailer out right but this year I did 115 as a driver and about 60 hours a week all year so seeing this idk if it would be worth it especially because when I check the load boards I don’t really see loads paying more then 2.39
How are u even making money…
All those miles for 56K ?? Are you kidding me? You're wasting your time to wear out equipment. Great channel , wrong business old buddy. Take Care..
All of that and you didn’t even make 60k
This title is going to really work up all the old farts saying hotshoters are not real truckers lol
Nobady buy this guys course please....hes another typical guy try to sell a course....he does not know how to run a prifitable business
@Babylionhotshot if u want to help people tell the whole story about your number....like how you didn't pay yourself any money.
These guys are never gonna tell you the true numbers all they're trying To Do. Is hip you up? So. You? Bye. Their courses.
Awesome video. I have a 2021 53ft gooseneck trailer I am trying to sell. If anyone wants details let me know and we'll figure out how to connect. I'm located in 37075.
Tell me more.
Hotshot drivers killed the hotshot industry and trucking in general.
Hey man, how do I pay the $300 for everything I need to know like you say? Your website wants $199 for the CDL alone. Thanks!
All these guy are scamming
Shoot I think I need to change the price back down to $299 instead of $499. Because I had that as an expiration till the end of the year but I didn't get all of the courses done yet. The Essentials are there though. Cheap CDL, MC & DOT Number, LLC Formation, and 0% Sales Tax. I'll lower it now. And you will have access to the rest of the Videos I up load on there in the future. Im planning to have them done by the end of January. Thanks for your Support Iray801
@@Babylionhotshot Thanks! I eventually found what you are talking about, I just didn't realize it had an expiry, so thank you for doing that!
